AVOID AT ALL COST!!
I stopped in for a vanilla latte on a Wednesday morning. At first I was quite taken back to see that they're charging between $6-$12 for various lattes, but I thought to myself it must be the best latte ever and the customer service must be outstanding with these exorbitant prices. As it turns out, I was wrong and it was simply a way overpriced latte from incompetent and rude staff and ridiculous owner and it ended up being the worst experience I've ever had at any coffee shop.
Firstly - to address the owners comment below: the owner who commented below is a liar. Simple as that. it's actually pathetic that she'd rather lie than just apologize and make things right. There was a male barista when I was in on Wednesday. He was wearing mustard yellow pants that were extremely tight, to be specific! Also, a little customer service 101 for the owner - if a customer asks for a latte with no foam, YOU GIVE THEM A LATTE WITH NO FOAM. PERIOD. END OF STORY. You don't say, "oh you wanted a flat white?" they ordered incorrectly, which is why they encountered this experience? Erroneous! A simple apology and accountability of your errors would have been sufficient but no, the owner isn't capable! She's as incompetent and rude as her staff. And no, I don't just write bad reviews or hate this business at all. I report on EXACTLY what occurred - that's obvious from my past reviews as I give many people 5 stars and that's why I'm elite. On to the review....
Firstly, I didn't appreciate being asked if I wanted to "tip" on a $9 latte when all the cashier did was say, "what would you like to order?" That's not tip-worthy.
15 minutes after I ordered, the male barista in mustard yellow pants brought me out the latte. I informed him it was almost half foam and I asked for no foam. I must have ordered 1,000+ lattes with no foam at various places in my life and never had an issue. He stood there and looked at me perplexed and asked, "so do you just want steamed milk, do you want it hot?" No apology for the error, and nothing done from a customer service standpoint to make me feel better about waiting 15 minutes for an overpriced latte that was made incorrectly. Was he on drugs? He seemed like the most incompetent person I'd ever encountered. All I asked for was NO FOAM. A LATTE WITH NO FOAM. Obviously that includes steamed milk and it is hot. For the love of g-d.
He went back in and 15 minutes later brought me out another latte WITH FOAM ON IT THAT WAS 3/4 full. I guess he didn't understand the English words that came out of my mouth. It was the most absurd and terrible experience I've ever had at any coffee shop. No apology, and 30 minutes of my life wasted on the worst latte I've ever had. GO ELSEWHERE, PLEASE.
