If you like authentic north shore roast beef, this is absolutely not the place for you. The thinly sliced rare roast beef is supposed to melt in your mouth, instead they cover it with sauce to hide the fact that they’ve overcooked it. There’s no blood dripping into the paper wrappings, in fact there is no blood or paper wrappings whatsoever.
If you were hoping for the traditional Greek family that works so hard, is very serious about what they do, and runs a tight ship (and you better watch your lip 😆), again this is not the place for you. The cashier just sort of wandered off as I was trying to pay him. I guess this was his way of telling me that they don’t accept cash.
Honestly, I think they are partnering with amazon to get some fake reviews, and I don’t see how anyone that has enjoyed the roast beef down in Mass could find any joy in visiting this place. Haps down in Portsmouth is a much better option, and I will be sure to visit them again before I come back here. Honestly I’d go to Arby’s in Auburn before I come back here, whilst also saving money (at more than $20 just for this miserable sandwich).
Lastly, I really have to say that the places on the north shore wouldn’t serve me something so terrible, not only because their reputation is on the line, but also because they take way too much pride in what they do to do this to their customers.
