We didn’t make a reservation beforehand, but since it was a weeknight, we got a table pretty quickly. There are bar seats both upstairs and downstairs where you can watch the chefs cook and plate the dishes. Upstairs there are also a couple of small tables that can seat up to four people. The atmosphere is great, there’s a wide selection of seafood, and the sashimi is surprisingly good value for the price. 👍🏻 The grilled mushrooms and grilled fish were outstanding! We ordered a bit too much and ended up spending around 7,000 yen for the two of us, but honestly, for two girls, 5,000 yen would’ve been more than enough to eat comfortably. They can communicate in simple English, which makes the place very friendly for tourists.

This izakaya is a chain with lots of locations in Kansai. Cozy, traditional atmosphere and great food for the price! If you’re expecting Western-style service, this might not be the place, but the staff here are fast, efficient, and friendly. The chef sometimes points out daily specials, and if you’re not sure about a dish, they’re happy to explain. Just keep in mind you may need a little Japanese to understand. Tip: check the menu or specials ahead of time so you know what to try and can enjoy it even more! I really hope this helps you enjoy Izakaya more!

We chanced upon this place whilst and are glad we did. This is about as local as you can get. We were seated at the chef's table with the wonderful spread in front. We ordered a couple of skewers and I must say the chef worked fast. It was fun watching him shuck the scallops we ordered right in front of us. The food is fresh and value for money at only 300yen per skewer except for the scallop and sashimi which you have to pay double. Presentation is good each dish came carefully garnished and some with sauce on the side. Wonderful experience seeing the chef serve the food via a long handled wooden "bat" Definitely a place you do not want to miss if you are around Dontonburi area.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. We were in Osaka for the week and were not disappointed. We bought the chef a beer as he was hustling and sweating profusely grilling our meal, and he was super appreciative.

First time experiencing this. Not much seasoning therefore I think all the ingredient were really fresh, truly Enjoy the original flavour of each dishes. Scallop is a MUST MUST MUST ORDER for me! Super huge and super fresh! The waitress was very attentive too. The whole vibe in the restaurant is fun. Tq so much for the service !

Came to japan looking for an izakaya experience but was afraid of the language barrier. Staff spoke English. Menu also had different languages. Locals go there too so you can experience a "natural" feel. There was a review about it being smokey from the grill. Well it was smokey but you can feel the a/c and the air quality was good. Unless you're in a big group they will probably seat you in front of the grill master. Food was about 300 yen per dish

It was supposed to be a chill and easy dinner. We found this restaurant and decided to walk in. The waiters and waitresses were not friendly at all, rushing us to order with zero communication. I ordered a Suntory Highball, but it tasted like pure soda—you could tell just from the color. If you’re planning to order alcohol, you might be better off choosing their beers. As for the food, my friends and I found it pretty average. It seemed like they were in a rush, so yeah. The prawns were tough.

Total bill was around ¥4950 for 2 people. Ordered about 10 dishes + 2 drinks (including 2 full grilled squids, 1 scallop, tuna sashimi and octopus)! It was very delicious and affordable (especially compared to eating this overseas). Quality of food was also really good! They grill the food in front of you and serve it on a paddle. Recommend coming here for a good variety of food and good service

We had a marvelous meal!! We highly recommend the chicken wings!!! The dish comes with two, we loved them so much we ordered another servings! We sat up on the third floor.
