It was well worth the 10/15 mins. visit especially when I was in the area. It caters for collectors and photographers. It is located in a expensive shopping district of Boston with Rolex shops and the like nearby. It is a 5 mins walk from Boston Common. The gallery itself is on the 4th floor of a vintage building. It is small, essentially two rooms. The prints on display when I was there, were all shrubs/trees/woodland related, and all in B&W. They were mainly digital but some were analogue too. These were located in one room. The second room was being used to re-organise the collections. So all-in-all a pleasant if you are into photography. The staff were friendly and helpful too by the way.

Yelp
Without question the rudest I've been treated at a gallery anywhere. I've been to galleries internationally, I've purchased photography from galleries, and nowhere has the attitude been as condescending and disrespectful as I experienced here. As I thought my first experience might have been because someone had a bad day, I returned another time and received an even worse reception from the owner. It is the only gallery on earth that I refuse to step foot in. They are arrogant, pompous and condescending.

Yelp
My first visit to this gallery was with my Abstract Painting class, and it's the only gallery we visited on Newbury that is dedicated entirely to photography. Overall, it offers a phenomenal selection of 19th and 20th century, as well as contemporary fine art photography, spanning a wide range of "subject" matter. It's located on the fourth floor of the building, adjacent to a number of other art galleries that are also worth checking out (there are a few on other floors of the building as well, in between hair salons and who knows what else). I am crazy-obsessed with one photograph in particular here, which is by Chema Madoz and is entitled "Cactus" (2000). It's of a potted cactus, but the cactus is actually constructed of two stones. (If you go to the website, www.robertkleingallery.com, click on "artists," and run a search on "Cactus," it'll pop up! The gallery's website is also worth a visit in itself, by the way, and will give you a great idea of what might be on display in the gallery and its related shows.) If you visit the gallery, snag a copy of "The Art Map Boston" from the table in the hallway on the fourth floor; this will guide you to other galleries in the neighborhood (and also in the South End and South Boston), including Judi Rotenberg and Barbara Krakow.
