I visited the Robin Hood statue on Robin Hood’s Lawn, just outside Nottingham Castle, and it absolutely lives up to its reputation as one of the city’s most beloved landmarks.
A must‑see in Nottingham: the Robin Hood statue outside the castle is photogenic, free to visit and brimming with local legend. Standing in 3D just like the county flag, it’s a fun stop even if it’s not museum‑level spectacle. Bow may look a bit worn from souvenir hunters, but it’s still iconic. Combine it with the castle visit and Old Market Square for a full dose of Nottingham history.
The Robin Hood statue is a small but iconic Nottingham landmark, perfect for photos, steeped in folklore, and visible without paid entry. While not a grand attraction, it’s a symbolic focal point for both locals and visitors alike. A solid 4+ stars for heritage meets casual sightseeing.
