Robin's Candy Shop

We had a great time here!!! The person working this morning was absolutely lovely, and was so helpful and friendly!! I loved that she still gave us the “kid in a candy store” experience even as adults. There was a great selection of domestic and international candy, and while some of it is on the more expensive side there are definitely goodies for every budget! I had picked out a huge mixed bag for me and my partner (she LOVES sour candy), and they gave me an extra toothbrush since she knew I was sharing with someone else! This was the perfect ending to our Berkshire getaway, and we will absolutely look forward to this for our annual Tanglewood trip!

Pros: (1) Fun spot for kids to find unique and special candy that you wouldn't find elsewhere. (2) Love downtown Great Barrington, great place to browse with friends/family. Cons: (1) Prices are INSANE and i wasn't given a receipt so impossible to say how i got to $55 with one small bag of candy. (2) The shop owner/manager had a stick shoved super far up her.... You could tell she was constantly annoyed with people/shoppers, and she made multiple comments to me/others shopping about the store rules. Just felt like a candy shop owner should be a little bit happier.

Great selection — I even found candy I hadn’t been able to track down in years. Staff was super helpful and friendly. The only downside: serious sticker shock. Four regular candy bars came to $26 after tax. Fun place to visit, but definitely pricey.

Every candy you can imagine is available. We didn’t buy anything because the prices were way higher than they should be. Some of the chocolates were $45/lb. It is a tight and slightly messy candy store. It would be a hassle to take a multiple kids in at the same time.

This establishment is a treasure trove of long lost sweet treats. Think of a childhood favorite, and more than likely they have it in stock. It was a trip down memory lane browsing the isles and shelves of this store. Cheers to the owner(s) for creating such a warm and welcoming environment. If you're ever in Great Barrington, make a stop there...this place is good for children and adults alike!

This is my favorite candy shop ... the ambiance, the variety, incredible. Everyone who's complaining about how high the prices are don't understand that most of the candy sold here is imported, it costs $$$ to get it to G.B Mass. I've been buying candy from Robin's Candy Shop for over a decade & Robin has ALWAYS been kind and helpful to me and others shopping in her wonderful unique store ♡

Two words. Disappointing and Terrible! I don't like writing bad reviews but you just want to skip this candy shop and save yourself a bunch of money. I gave 1 stars only because the shop has a huge selection of highly overpriced candy, otherwise I'd give it Zero stars. Went to the shop to buy some locally made fudge, only to find it was all pre packaged and not sure who made it, disappointing. Now for the terrible. The high end chocolates at $40 a pound, though they looked good are just bad, no, actually terrible. Now, I knew the cost and was ok with it, expecting amazing chocolate, but got tasteless old chocolate. I've added a photo of a Peanut Butter cup and Turtle. Both sucked. The peanut butter was dry and tasteless and fell out of the cup. The Turtle had stale tasteless maybe unsalted cashews plus the caramel was lacking and dried out and tasteless. The dark chocolate was even more disappointing. The chocolate tasted cheap, dry and waxy, plus not chocolatey. Reese's peanut butter cups are Top Tier to these. The Turtles were the worst I've ever had. Save your money and drive to the candy isle of the Big Y grocery store, 2 miles down the road, you'll thank me.
