Robinson Restaurant

We arrived as a group of 7 without reservation on a Sunday and after 5 minutes, we were seated. I think the location is great. The lake offers a nice breeze even on a hot Summer day. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. I liked all the food we ordered. I ordered a burger which was a nice balance between a relatively large patty and a smaller bun. The waiter emphasized that the burger is prepared medium here which was my preference anyway, but I would have expected at least a small amount of red in the meat. I think it was more medium well. The madartej was light and very tasty. Some of the dishes were bit salty, but not for me. Nevertheless, you pay for the location here and not the quality of food. Will not be my regular but great for tourists.

Visited for a birthday lunch. The food was great, steak, spinach salad, salmon in coconut sauce. However, the service is super bad. Probably the worst service I’ve ever had. Waiters are not even looking at you. The hostess is not friendly and not welcoming. I asked hostess for a desert with a candle for a birthday and she told me to ask the waiter. I asked the waiter and he asked hostess and she came to me asking “so what do you want?” 😂 the surprise it failed. The food is okay, the atmosphere is good. The service is super bad. There are a lot of beautiful, tasty restaurants in Budapest with a great service. But, this one was a fail. Not visiting again :)

After going to the thermal spas, my family & I were hoping to get a bite to eat but so many places seemed to be shut. Robinson’s was open and we decided to go and have a look: the best decision ever!! We wanted to try at least one authentic Hungarian dish while we were in Budapest and their goulash was the most delectable soup I have ever had in my life. It’s warm and a little bit spicy but not overwhelming. We were served by the wonderful Anna who was always polite and made sure we had everything we needed. For dessert, we had the most delicious looking desserts. They tasted just as good as they looked! Thank you to the team at Robinson’s- you’ve made our holiday very worthwhile!

In Budapest, we enjoyed one of our best dining experiences, characterized by impeccable service and a considerate offer of a non-alcoholic drink tailored to my preferences. 🩷🍾

This place is adorable as it sits on the lake. The menu was very extensive. The wine list was great and our charcuterie board was fabulous. I WOULD RECOMMEND

The experience at this restaurant was truly great! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is quick. The food is absolutely delicious—I had the goulash soup, and it was really good. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but it's definitely worth it, especially for the nighttime atmosphere.

Very good restaurant with a modern take on the Hungarian cuisine. The prices are on the high side, also due to the nice surrounding with the lake. I would be happy to return

Ordered duck confit. It was too dry than tender. This dish is flavorful, but it was too salty. Please note that they only offer outside seats (with a view) for customers that order mains. When I entered, they only offered indoor seating despite having seats outdoors. Would not recommend this place. There are other better places for tourists.
