We visited the place on the day of the Guns and Roses concert. The latest possible reservation for lunch was 15.00. »Is one hour enough?« asked the lady at the entrance. 'No' we thought, but said: »Yes«.
The »older« waiter (very very nice), who took our first order, started the unforgettable experience.
Food was over the moon (duck liver pate, veal cutlet, pil pil prawns, floating island); pick of the afternoon was a waiter who served us way after 16.00 with a smile and offering us more and more. Due to his recommendations, we tasted several palinkas, dessert and Tokaj, which were not in our initial plan at all. Richard, that was the waiter's name, also chatted with us, which made the experience over the top.
If you are in Budapest, this place is a must.
