Robinson Restaurant

Very enjoyable meal with chilled atmosphere and a great view. The restaurant is set alongside a nice lake only a short hop from the city centre. The staff were very welcoming. The menu was varied with a good selection of starters, mains and desserts. There are a number of steak dishes, I’d highly recommend the tenderloin. There was a decent wine menu, again with a varied selection of both Hungarian and world wines. Would very happily revisit.

We visited the place on the day of the Guns and Roses concert. The latest possible reservation for lunch was 15.00. »Is one hour enough?« asked the lady at the entrance. 'No' we thought, but said: »Yes«. The »older« waiter (very very nice), who took our first order, started the unforgettable experience. Food was over the moon (duck liver pate, veal cutlet, pil pil prawns, floating island); pick of the afternoon was a waiter who served us way after 16.00 with a smile and offering us more and more. Due to his recommendations, we tasted several palinkas, dessert and Tokaj, which were not in our initial plan at all. Richard, that was the waiter's name, also chatted with us, which made the experience over the top. If you are in Budapest, this place is a must.

Great food, but unpleasant staff. 5 staff members came to explain that they were closing at 4pm sharp, even though we had another half hour to enjoy our lunch and we had two kids.

We had a great meal here after being at the spa for the day. Hadn’t booked. Service was excellent, price reasonable for the food and service. Lovely setting. Would definitely recommend

We arrived as a group of 7 without reservation on a Sunday and after 5 minutes, we were seated. I think the location is great. The lake offers a nice breeze even on a hot Summer day. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. I liked all the food we ordered. I ordered a burger which was a nice balance between a relatively large patty and a smaller bun. The waiter emphasized that the burger is prepared medium here which was my preference anyway, but I would have expected at least a small amount of red in the meat. I think it was more medium well. The madartej was light and very tasty. Some of the dishes were bit salty, but not for me. Nevertheless, you pay for the location here and not the quality of food. Will not be my regular but great for tourists.

It was soooo good! we only had a coffe and a apple crumble BUT the Ice Cream under the Apple Crumble was housemade and the cream of the top was also housemade! it was really really good and the service was super friendly and professional!

Visited for a birthday lunch. The food was great, steak, spinach salad, salmon in coconut sauce. However, the service is super bad. Probably the worst service I’ve ever had. Waiters are not even looking at you. The hostess is not friendly and not welcoming. I asked hostess for a desert with a candle for a birthday and she told me to ask the waiter. I asked the waiter and he asked hostess and she came to me asking “so what do you want?” 😂 the surprise it failed. The food is okay, the atmosphere is good. The service is super bad. There are a lot of beautiful, tasty restaurants in Budapest with a great service. But, this one was a fail. Not visiting again :)

This place is adorable as it sits on the lake. The menu was very extensive. The wine list was great and our charcuterie board was fabulous. I WOULD RECOMMEND
