"Rapid Fire Let the Urubamba River set your course during a thrilling rafting adventure along the Ollantaytambo rapids, available through the Belmond. The river helped form what is now the Sacred Valley, and along the way you'll not only sense its power, but also get a feel for some less visited corners of the region it created. You’ll pass towering eucalyptus trees and the ruins of Inca terraces and more as you make your way down river, ending with a picnic lunch before returning to the hotel by car. Roca Fuerte Sacred Valley is an oasis in the middle of Urubamba! We had 18 study abroad student from the U.S. go to Roca Fuerte to spend a wonderful, relaxing day. The barbecue meal was delicious, the volleyball was great fun, and the hammocks were perfectly restful. Our day spent at Roca Fuerte was a respite for us to recharge!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! I stayed at this hotel for an extended period of time, over 3 months to be exact from September-dec 2022 with my work colleagues, and we LOVE this hotel, especially the people who run it. First, the hotel itself, its accommodation, the rooms, the beds, hot showers, the big open garden, the laundry service, volleyball net, the spacious kitchen and dining area, everything were excellent. Service was incredible! There is nothing quite like waking up in the morning and watching the hills and mountains from its big garden, or star gazing while sitting next to a bon fire at night. The hotel's ground is so spacious that even with over 10 guests at all times, I always felt like I could have my own space for meditation or reading or working. ||||Second, as a female traveller, security is top priority. This hotel is very secure/safe and the couple who runs the hotel live next door and its conveniently located about 15 minutes walk from the main Plaza and the main market. Lots of cafes, atms, convenient stores, gyms, and tuk tuks just around the corner. ||||Third and most importantly, the couple who run this hotel, Ligia and Carlos are phenomenal. Their son Roberto went above and beyond to help me/us with anything and everything. Even when I got sick with Covid19 (yup! it happened), they came to check up on me and offered me drinks/food. They were very knowledgeable about the local area and Peru in general. They helped us with our travel plans, provided lots of insights on neighbouring places to visit. They made us feel like a part of their family. ||Nancy, the housekeeping lady was also very professional, friendly, kind and sweet. She made sure our rooms, sheets and bathroom were always clean. And like everyone in this hotel, Nancy was always ready to help if we needed anything. ||||I will definitely stay here again- hopefully sooner rather than later.||Highly Highly Highly recommend this place :)

Great accommodation in the Sacred Valley! Carlos and his wife are super friendly hosts and we felt very welcome! Rooms and breakfast are great plus they have a lovely big and quiet garden to relax as well. We can only recommend it! Thanks for having us.

I am so happy that we stayed here. It is the most beautiful hotel! The rooms are really clean and comfortable, the breakfast was hot, delicious and fresh every morning and the staff was amazing! I am really happy we stayed in Urubamba instead of Cusco. We were much safer, and it was not touristy. There is lots to do nearby as well. ||||Carlos and Lijia really took good care of us and we felt like part of the family. We are all very fond of this little place and would never stay anywhere else. I really miss it. It is easy to get to Machu Picchu from here as well and the altitude is lower than Cusco, so none of us got altitude sickness.||||I can't wait to go back!

This new hotel in Urubamba offers large, clean and comfortable rooms in quiet surroundings. One of the best maintained properties we stayed in. Good breakfast and personalised attention. The owners are very friendly and helpful. My husband was ill the day we were there and Carlos called the doctor and took me to find some chicken soup for our lunch. He and his wife could n't have been more helpful. Many thanks to you both.

This hotel is quite out of the way from anything. On our first night, our taxi had a problem looking for it. We were quite worried as he had to ask several tuktuk drivers and no one seemed to know the street/hotel! We asked our taxi driver to call the hotel and that's how we were able to see it. Once we got there, we were so hungry so we decided to go out for dinner. Carlos drove us as it was near impossible that a tuktuk would be wandering around that area. Turns out, it was just a short ride from where there were restaurants. ||||We were feeling some altitude sickness and jet lag and were lucky that we were able to rest at the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's rest there. The breakfast was adequate. Also, Carlos and his wife were very good hosts! We felt at home in this hotel!||||Just a few things that I think they can improve on is the wifi (husband go not get through!) and heating.
