Yelp
This was a nice find for coffee when I was last in Vancouver, as I make it a point to support micro and local roasteries (versus Starbucks). My friend and I came here before heading back to Seattle on a Sunday morning and the place wasn't busy at all, which was nice.
From what Yelp told me, I ordered the Flat White Top, which I normally wouldn't do since I'm a black coffee kind of person, but am glad I did. There was a nice white foam to it with strong coffee, and of course, the design was on point. However, if that's not your cuppa joe (literally), they can make other classic beverages like lattes, pour-overs, etc... just don't expect anything elaborate or a range of syrups as Rocanini's simplicity and refinement is in the coffee itself.
Though the place is small, it feels spacious with a high ceiling and mostly a communal table for seating, which I didn't mind. They have art magazines on the table, and I even spotted an old school record player, which I dug. (But Beach House playing in the background had me softly singing the verses with my coffee in hand.) Plus, free wifi here, which is essential for any traveling American not using data. If you're in the area and like artisan coffee then Rocanini is worth a try.
