Roches Family Hotel

Just finished a lovely lunch at Roaches. Tacos with barramundi, salsa and slaw, and they were delicious. In fact, the fish was the freshest and tastiest I’ve eaten in years - cooked perfectly. Totally recommend the food here, and the staff are helpful and friendly too. A most pleasant dining experience.

Awesome food, has to be the best value and quality mixed grill available in Grafton area. Cooked to perfection 12 out of 10 for an excellent feed.

Roches is currently serving good & well priced food at present. It's a great place for a pub meal.

Great food, good prices, friendly service

We were recommended the food so we ate a burger off the menu. It was delicious. The spicy hawaiian burger. Great flavour and cooked perfectly. Good venue, clean and tidy and friendly service. You should go.

Great service and great meal and fair pricing

We had dinner at Roaches last weekend while we were in town. Great food, great price and portions were large, no-one went hungry or complained. Eating this dinner was about the only time the 7 men were quiet during our long weekend. Definitely worth eating there!!!

Many locals would remember jarmers pasta, lakelands, chicken oxford. 10yrs ago this was one of the best pubs for lunch and dinner. The outside courtyard was delightful, the inside had 2 awesome function areas (we’ve all sat at the long table). The food was great and reliable. Then the pub changed hands (a couple of times maybe). Its never been the same since, often closed, often empty. I really hope the owners can get this place back up and running, 7 days, lunch and dinner. It was closed today, the Crown hotel around the corner was PACKED.

One of the things that I have noticed in some of these country pubs is that the service really does seem to be quite half-hearted at times, particularly if you don't happen to be a regular. Yeah, in these places regulars aren't just known, but they are in fact a part of the furniture. This is what I felt when it came to this particular pub. Since I was from out of town there was really no need to actually show any real customer service. Honestly, I'll just pass on this one.
