"Getting settled in at Rock Bar, a sprawling open-air complex, can be an ordeal at peak times, but the views are worth it: 180 degrees of aquamarine waves, jagged limestone cliffs, and a sun eager to put on a special light show for Jimbaran Bay spectators. Most cocktails blend familiar tastes with Indonesian ingredients; for instance, Rock My World (with vodka, yuzu puree, kaffir leaves) and Rockatonic (with fig gin, orange bitters, and Mancino Bianco vermouth). Tunes from renowned DJs add to the vibe. This Bali legend lives up its reputation as the island’s ultimate sundowner bar; just be willing to share those majestic ocean views with hundreds of others." - Travis Levius

This is a very unique bar that is situated on a cliff, just above the ocean. A great place to see the sunset and enjoy the cool sea breeze. Service was great. They provide umbrellas to shield the guests from the late afternoon Sun. Food and drink were just average, nothing special. People come for the ambience. A small tip: don't sit too close to the water, because depending on the tide, you may get splashed by the waves. As this is a very popular bar, reservation is a must.

Let’s cover the 4 categories: vibe, service, food, drinks Vibe: the place is quite cool - located deep in Ayana resort the whole campus is really manicured and nice, but going down to the bar is quite a treat and you will no doubt enjoy the evening if just for the vibe and view alone. The bar and restaurant is tiered very well to give many different layers and prevent it from feeling too big, flat, and boring. Service: top notch. Always had staff ready to help and with a smile. They were thoughtful and timely. Food: food was very well done, albeit western heavy and came off a bit generic but perhaps unavoidable given the size of the resort. Nevertheless my initial underwhelming feeling was decently relieved with the quality of the food that came out. You will not get any kind of authentic local food here but you will get great food for what it is. Drinks: overpriced and underwhelming for the 3 we had. Not worth knocking a star, but I simply don’t believe the drinks were at all worth the price at nearly 250k per. They weren’t bad, they just were less than notable.

Since we stayed at the resort, we had no trouble getting a spot at the bar. The first day was fantastic, with a beautiful view to enjoy. However, since we travelled during the wet season, it poured down like crazy. This was tough, especially for families with babies and children. The stairs were slippery too. We decided to go back for more the next day. We booked early, but it was still a struggle to get the best spot because everyone wanted a view of the sunset. Plus, the sun was scorching! Almost everyone ended up with umbrellas provided from the bar. Is it worth dining under the blazing weather? Well, for me I find the bar was worth it for the experience and the amazing view. The only downside was that the food options weren't that great, and it was only our second visit. But if you're thinking about checking out the Rock Bar, go for it!

This expansive venue offers stunning sunset views from every angle. Reservation: You can reserve a table for dinner from 7:30 pm onwards, but sunset drinks are on a first-come, first-served basis. We arrived at around 5 pm and found a spot. Food: The food and drinks at the sunset bar were good. The burger sliders were a bit dry, but the fried calamari was enjoyable. Dinner: The menu has a Greek inspiration. We ordered the scallops, grilled sea bass and grilled octopus. Both dishes were tasty, though the octopus was slightly chewy. Vibe: The atmosphere was fantastic, with a DJ and a violinist setting the perfect sunset mood. Service: The service was excellent and welcoming! This place is perfect for enjoying a sunset and dinner.

Amazing location! Amazing Atmosphere and Amazing food ! We found this place by chances .... just wanted to try the food as some comments do have good review. Our surprise when we reached the place ! There are lifts to bring us down to the restaurant. Which they are located along the cliff. You'll get the chance to view the sunset and take countless photos. Make sure you could get a table from 6pm onwards... sure you'll catch the significant view while dinning and enjoying the food The waiter and waitress provided excellent service. Perfect place for a Valentine dinner

Best view ever. They have a huge seating area with different angles of seaview. U can get plenty of nice pictures here. Better booked early if u want to secure a spot. I went quite early so it's very hot. The best time is right before sunset. Just go for a drink & light snack before dinner.

One of the places to visit for sunset. Well trained staff, due to which they offer wonderful service. Make sure you have enough time for this place as you have to walk a lot from parking as their property is big. Sometimes, during their peak hour, you will have to wait for your table for approx 15mins to 20mins

Pretty incredible spot on the cliff side, it's a beautiful complex. However going at 4pm in the sun was a bad idea! The whole seating area is designed to face the sun for Sunset...but it was so muggy, we were all a sweaty mess! They do provide umbrellas for everyone to hold but that's not so practical when you're eating and drinking, and they're white so they don't do much. They gave us an ice cold towel on arrival which was greatly appreciated. The service is pretty slow but they do have a lot of area to cover. I was surprised at the final bill... 120000 for a small bottle of water and 190000 for a basic glass of prosecco. The Feta with honey was far too salty to be enjoyed. But once the sun started to set, the place looked magical. I'd recommend booking a table in advance and come about an hour before sunset. Bearing in mind there is a queue in the sun to get on the funicular.
