I've been to the glamping site twice this year and I love it. It's well-equipped, comfortable, clean, and very practical. It has beautiful views and a great place to rest. When I met the staff, they were very friendly. I slept in the Ash Yurt and the Apple Hut. I recommend it!

Me and my friend stayed here last night , couldn’t recommend it enough . We stayed in the pine Shepard hut which was so cosy . We loved the natural swimming pool , after that we had booked the sauna and the jacuzzi which was fabulous. Special mention for Tadgh as he was extremely helpful to us and also very friendly . Will definitely be back again!

We had a great overnight stay in one of the Oak Yurts. Inside was extremely cozy and warm even before lighting the stove, the facilities are great! Fully kitted out kitchen and plenty of toilets. We all agreed that the beds were some of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Thank you for a great stay x

We were staying in the Swallow's Nest with its own en suite bathroom block. The entire place is in beautiful surroundings, with the village approximately a 25 minutes walk away. You'll see lots of wildlife, pigs, pheasants, hare etc. on site. The communal kitchen area is great, approximately a 5 minutes walk from the Swallow's Nest. We really enjoyed our sauna and cold swim in the little lake. The place has great potential but specifically the Swallow's Nest could do with a little bit of TLC. It is VERY basic and not very clean for the price you are paying. The mattress is old and not very nice to sleep on. Tea and coffee facilites were dreadful, only consistant of damp old tea bags and instant coffee which I had to get replaced at reception as it was not drinkable. The cabin and bathroom block were pretty dirty with spider webs and filth on the floor everywhere, which you wouldn't expect for the price you are paying. The whole farm area is pretty messy with things lying around everywhere, dodgy exposed cables in places and not a lot of clear signage. Everybody we met on site was friendly, specifically the person preparing the sauna for us and even letting us stay a little bit longer. The website needs to be updated as I was looking forward to using the honesty box and visiting the weekly farmers market, that never happened. Overall we had a lovely stay but would probably not book again mainly due to the lack of cleanliness.

Great value. A comfortable room with en suite. The communal rooms downstairs were very cute and well equipped. Perfect for our stop over on the way to the ferry.

We had a lovely family wedding here at the weekend. Elle, the wedding coordinator could not have been more helpful; she was really committed to ensuring everything went well and that Laura & Matt had the wedding they envisioned. Lovely space, good food- highly recommend if you want a chilled, rustic wedding vibe. Thanks Rock Farm !

Had our wedding there in May - what a stunning location, and a brilliant choice for a weekend wedding where you can hang out with friends and family. The hot tubs, outdoor pond and space were brilliant, and the piglets were a firm favourite with the kids! Elle was fantastic to work with when she came on board, and really helped to address some of the details that we had been struggling with. This is the spot if you want somewhere quirky, where it's not a polished, one-size-fits-all vibe, but where it's a bit rustic, with lots of room to make it yours, in a fab location (not too far from Dublin/airport!). So great for weddings with kids, families or those just wanting to enjoy more time with loved ones than a traditional wedding day.. Thanks team, we just had such a good time and made some amazing memories with our favourite people!

We absolutely love it here , beautiful, quite feels like such an escape. We went 3/4 times a year and even got engaged here. However the price increase is criminal. It's more camping than glamping and doesn't have the facilities/activities to justify the nightly charge. Hugely disappointing.

Yelp
This review is going to a gushing tribute to the one of the best getaway experiences I have ever had. Let me set the scene of Rock farm before I continue, set in the Meath Countryside with Slane Castle creating a picturesque backdrop Rock Farm is quite possibly the best glamping location on the island of Ireland. There is a variety of accommodation on site including shepherds huts, tents and yurts as well as a traditional thatched farm house that sleeps 22 people. We stayed in the yurt named Hazel which was at the far end of the site. It could have comfortably slept 6 people but it was also cosy enough for 2. Our candlelit yurt came equipped with a wood burning stove and a double bed. The yurts can get cold at night so make sure you collect plenty of wood and kindling from the 'shack'. The 'shack' is the communal kitchen and shower facilities. The kitchen has a gas stove and all the cooking equipment you could possibly want. The showers are clean and warm and are a far cry from old dingy one drip showers you usually associate with campsites. Outside the shack there is a BBQ and a clay pizza oven which are free to use. We purchased a BBQ pack and a pizza kit for the nights we stayed and this allowed us to turn up and not worry about food. I would suggest bringing extra condiments and maybe a few salad items for your BBQ. There are some bits and pieces in the shack but it's best to be safe. There's also a wood burning hot tub in the middle of the farm - be warned it does take a few hours to heat up but once it's bubbling it's definitely worth a dip, especially under candlelight. The location of Rock Farm is excellent. Only one hour 30 minutes from Belfast by car and a short walk from the welcoming pubs of Slane it makes for the perfect retreat. Few pointers - 1. Theres no electricity in the yurts but you can charge your phone/laptop/lanterns at The Shack. 2. The farm is sustainable which means they don't waste anything including what goes down the toilet so expect to use a compost toilet. One thing that really set Rock Farm apart was the staff. From the moment we arrived they addressed us by our first names and nothing we requested was too much bother. they even took the time to text us to check how our stay was going. First Class in every single way!

Yelp
Loved our visit to Rock farm, Slane, for a wedding back in August 2015. It's quite different to the usual wedding venue which is what makes it a bit special. The location is just outside Slane and nicely secluded away from the hustle and bustle of the real world, out here you're surrounded by mature trees and a wonderful rolling landscape that sweeps down to the river Boyne - with the castle sitting off in the distance. There's a really great vibe from the place and I can't think of anywhere better to go with friends or family for a chilled out weekend.
