We stayed in one of the shepherd's huts, it was very cosy, with a log burner roaring away as heavy rain battered the roof. Although, our stay was brief, I'd highly recommmend it, especially in the warmer months of the year. The location is ideal, there are pheasants running around the grounds and it just has a great ambiance.

Lovely place to take a break from pitching a tent in the Irish weather. Everything is cozy and well maintained. Sadly we only spent a single night because of logistics, would gladly book a holiday here. Warm and endless Showers and towels are included.

Liked: So close to nature. Lots of birds and pheasants. Pigs interesting too. Great facilities, kitchen is like home, has everything and a stove too. Just super cosy. Hot tub, sauna and jacuzzi were amazing. Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Really nice site with plenty of facilities, I was only stopping over one night on the way to the ferry at Dublin in campervan, (good for that as well) so I didn’t get chance to enjoy ask the stuff there. Disliked: Office closes at 5 pm so after that you’re left to your own devices to find your pitch, no big deal for me, found the campervan spaces and parked up. Maybe a few extra signs to point to facilities. It’s a big site and easy to wonder off in the wrong direction looking for the loos as I did 🥴 Just the first time of course ! Oh yes. €8 euros for electric is a bit steep. That’s what I’d use at home without everything switched on.

We had a great overnight stay in one of the Oak Yurts. Inside was extremely cozy and warm even before lighting the stove, the facilities are great! Fully kitted out kitchen and plenty of toilets. We all agreed that the beds were some of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Thank you for a great stay x

I've been to the glamping site twice this year and I love it. It's well-equipped, comfortable, clean, and very practical. It has beautiful views and a great place to rest. When I met the staff, they were very friendly. I slept in the Ash Yurt and the Apple Hut. I recommend it!

Liked: Convenient tap. When electrics failed test we could move to a temporary spare pitch with correct electrics so visit not totally spoiled. Disliked: Electric hook up unused as polarity was reversed. Very little information available. Facilities very limited and shared with glampers. Had appearance of pop-up site with pitches roped off, no signs

We had a lovely family wedding here at the weekend. Elle, the wedding coordinator could not have been more helpful; she was really committed to ensuring everything went well and that Laura & Matt had the wedding they envisioned. Lovely space, good food- highly recommend if you want a chilled, rustic wedding vibe. Thanks Rock Farm !

Yelp
This review is going to a gushing tribute to the one of the best getaway experiences I have ever had. Let me set the scene of Rock farm before I continue, set in the Meath Countryside with Slane Castle creating a picturesque backdrop Rock Farm is quite possibly the best glamping location on the island of Ireland. There is a variety of accommodation on site including shepherds huts, tents and yurts as well as a traditional thatched farm house that sleeps 22 people. We stayed in the yurt named Hazel which was at the far end of the site. It could have comfortably slept 6 people but it was also cosy enough for 2. Our candlelit yurt came equipped with a wood burning stove and a double bed. The yurts can get cold at night so make sure you collect plenty of wood and kindling from the 'shack'. The 'shack' is the communal kitchen and shower facilities. The kitchen has a gas stove and all the cooking equipment you could possibly want. The showers are clean and warm and are a far cry from old dingy one drip showers you usually associate with campsites. Outside the shack there is a BBQ and a clay pizza oven which are free to use. We purchased a BBQ pack and a pizza kit for the nights we stayed and this allowed us to turn up and not worry about food. I would suggest bringing extra condiments and maybe a few salad items for your BBQ. There are some bits and pieces in the shack but it's best to be safe. There's also a wood burning hot tub in the middle of the farm - be warned it does take a few hours to heat up but once it's bubbling it's definitely worth a dip, especially under candlelight. The location of Rock Farm is excellent. Only one hour 30 minutes from Belfast by car and a short walk from the welcoming pubs of Slane it makes for the perfect retreat. Few pointers - 1. Theres no electricity in the yurts but you can charge your phone/laptop/lanterns at The Shack. 2. The farm is sustainable which means they don't waste anything including what goes down the toilet so expect to use a compost toilet. One thing that really set Rock Farm apart was the staff. From the moment we arrived they addressed us by our first names and nothing we requested was too much bother. they even took the time to text us to check how our stay was going. First Class in every single way!

Yelp
Loved our visit to Rock farm, Slane, for a wedding back in August 2015. It's quite different to the usual wedding venue which is what makes it a bit special. The location is just outside Slane and nicely secluded away from the hustle and bustle of the real world, out here you're surrounded by mature trees and a wonderful rolling landscape that sweeps down to the river Boyne - with the castle sitting off in the distance. There's a really great vibe from the place and I can't think of anywhere better to go with friends or family for a chilled out weekend.
