Super cool place! Large warehouse area available for special events. It was closed for private event the day we visited but we got to look inside to see what it was all about. Although the main smaller building was the coolest part for us. An old limestone quarry building really peaked my historical nerd interest.

What a nice place to have a beer! Huge room with some cute spaces with a vintage touch. Beer is good -this is always a very biased opinion-, but I feel they can make it better by pouring drinks in glass cups, instead of disposable ones. We went on a very hot day and realized they do not have an efficient cooling system, so plan accordingly if you plan to spend some time there, probably you want to sit near the fans or outside (trust me, it’s fresher than inside). We truly enjoyed our time and drinks at Rock House and definitely will come back.

If you love craft beer with unique flavors and great taste, friendly service, and a fun space, visit Rock House Brewery. We were traveling through during a road trip and are glad we stopped in. We're from NC where we have breweries on top of each other and this brewery definitely stands up to ours. Will be back. We tried: Key lime pie, when I whip you whip pineapple whip, and a wine dark sea. All great. We bought some cans to take with us - a bit pricey but worth it. The brewery is tucked behind a couple buildings through a small alley. Turn at the mural. They are operating out of the warehouse, not the small building.

Stopped in to visit Rock House Friday pretty much right when they opened, and we are glad we did! We were greeted right away by Austin & Hailey (I hope I got their names correct) and made to feel right at home. Austin was super knowledgeable about their beers and wanted to know what we preferred. We did a flight followed up by a pour each, we really wish we had more time and we enjoyed the laid back vibe and conversation. The beers were all excellent from the cherry cobbler tart to the blue razz to the key lime tart and the pecan imperial. If we lived anywhere within a reasonable distance, this would be one of our go-to breweries on a weekly basis. Keep up the good work and hope to see y’all again soon!

Located in a warehouse... the inside of this place is huge and wonderfully decorated. Pretty decent beer. Great bartender. We were there in the middle of the day so they weren't busy but I can imagine this place is HOPPING after 5pm. They even had a food truck outside!

Google
Great place to visit. Staff very knowledgeable and knew their craft. Drinks were delicious. The night we went they had a string band playing. Would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Google
Probably one of my personal fav brewers. Pros: The atmosphere is pleasant, lowkey and relaxing. The outdoor seating is quite inviting as is the interior. Not to massive but also not to small. The beer selection is always top notch. I've yet to have had a beer I did not like from this place. One thing tho is I'd recommend liking them on Facebook, simply because their posts and adds are hilarious and out there. Cons:Tho their entrance sign is not even close to visable so the chances of you missing it and the hidden entrance is super high. That's really the biggest con I have for this joint. If your in the city and looking for a solid craft brew and a chill environment then look no further!

The interior of this brewery is very fashionable and cozy.👍 Tangerine Blonde Ale is very good! The scent of orange is refreshing and delicious.🍊

Yelp
Great beers, awesome staff and a massive projector screen for watching games. Rockhouse has become a favorite new hangout spot for us!

Yelp
I LOVED this brewery! Not only did they have a huge selection of beers (more than I could try that night!) but they also had a live bluegrass band playing and a food truck to help soak up some of the beer. I wish we were in town for more than one night, I could see becoming a regular here! I spoke with the woman who was tending bar and she was very friendly and was able to answer out questions about the beers. They have a huge space inside and out with plenty of seating. They kept the air moving inside with a big fan as it was a hot day, and the bluegrass band was amazing! If you're looking for a welcoming environment and good beer, you need look no further!

Yelp
I loved this cute little brewery building. I wasn't quite sure I was at the right place though at first. There's a big warehouse out back and then this little cottage looking place out front in the parking lot. I gave it a try and luckily was at the right place. I was the only one there at the time so I felt a little awkward sitting there with the bartender in silence, but it wasn't really silent because there was some soft indie music playing. The beer was great and I got a filled growler to go to add to my collection. As I was walking out to leave, a food table was being set up by what looked like an outside vendor so it looks like I was just a little too early to try the food. Maybe next time.

Yelp
Let's talk about the weirdness and delightful things that go on at Rock House. There's pumpkin flavored beers every October, food trucks constantly. They do weddings and events like markets, also - PUPPIES (less so with COVID, but you know). The warehouse has a lot of seating arrangments for socially distanced drinks, but they can so many things that you can always grab some brews to go instead! And if it isn't canned, it's worth asking if they can do a growler to go! Driving up to it, don't mind the chain link fence, and the auto garage behind them. Instead, keep your eyes on the prize of delicious brews, sometimes with glitter, other times with bourbon barrel aged deliciousness.

Yelp
Rock House Brewing is a hidden gem in Lexington. I never knew about it until a friend suggested we go here. It's an interesting set up. It's in a warehouse with various seating arrangements so people can socially distance from other groups. I'm not sure if this is only due to COVID or if this a permanent set up. Either way, I like it. There were comfy couches, games, a projection screen and more. Their beer was very good. Again, I'm not a beer drinker, but in my slightly inebriated state, I drank a few. All were great!! There is plenty of parking as well.

Yelp
I have always loved Rock House because the beer is always amazing and different. But..Jen made our experience special - she was sweet, attentive and easy going with great conversation. This place makes you feel right at home in KY in a home-like environment, which is one of the reasons we love coming here. Board games, a fire pit, a ping pong table and so much more. We also love that it's so close to work. Make sure to come here and check this little gem of a brewery out!

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere with enough delicious beers on tap to please everyone. The bartenders are very helpful and will talk to you about flavor and hops to help you find something you will want to return for.

Yelp
Great place for small crafted beer in Lexington, only opened at the beginning of 2017 have really good small batch craft beer Staff extremely friendly & welcoming. I enjoyed a flight of Roadie, American Pale Ale; Dark & Bloody Ground KY Common beer; Uncle John's Brown; Riot Act Red Rye IPA Great place to stop by & enjoy craft beer in Lexington
google avatar

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem. The bartender was friendly and answered our questions about the beer. I ended up getting the Tangerine Blonde, which was scrumptious. The space is huge, with lots of tables (appropriately spaced!) both inside and out, and great lighting. If that wasn't enough, the large selection of board games provided some much needed novelty in our lives after a year of quarantine-induced monotony. There's also ample parking, which always makes life easier! We will be back!

Yelp
Picked up a beer and dessert pairing curbside and was happy with the beer! We've visited Rock House in the past and the beer has always been fine. However they could use a bit of work on their communication. Having tried to go have beers and listen to music in the past we showed up to find that there was a cover charge to listen to the band. Not a problem if we'd known in advance. Same situation for the beer and dessert pickup. No details were given about where to go to pick up our order. Logistics aside the beers were good, particularly the Key Lime Pie Gose which was amazing.

Yelp
My department had a gathering here last night and it was really nice. The beer was good. I had the Belgium-syle quad and my husband had the double IPA. Both beers were really good. I brought my four month old baby and was delighted to see that one of the restrooms had a changing table. I was also able to nurse him in a chair by their fireplace. One of my colleagues had a 5 year old and they had games for her to play, so overall fairly family friendly. It's tucked away from the road a bit, so you need to turn in just before you hit Loudon Ave. if you're heading north on Limestone. It's a small building down Luigart Ct. There is tons of parking back there, so don't worry about that. It's a chill and cozy scene with good beer!

Yelp
I have been trying to get into this place for a few months now. Their hours are from like 4pm to 11pm. I kept coming at like 2pm or so. They are a in a little rock house tucked away down a drive way and in a parking lot of a couple of industrial businesses. It is a very cute little place. The staff are really friendly and chatty. There was a food truck parked out back on this specific day. On this day, I had a Grouplie (golden ale) and a Roadie (a citrus pop). Both were great. I will be stopping in here when I get my hair cut past 4pm. The place I get my hair did is right beside this hidden gem. I only found it by walking around on the phone before my hair appointment, but I am sure glad I did. Stop in and see these folks. They are great.

Yelp
Yes, I had the Coconut Monolith Almond Joy Stout, and yes, yes it tasted just like Almond Joy! Delicious!! We sat at the cute bar, on a Sunday late afternoon, shot the breeze with the bartender and other patrons.... nice!

Jack S.

Yelp
We love Isaac; please give them a raise! The atmosphere is so comfy and feels very safe. Very gender inclusive! Beer and ciders very good!!
google avatar

Yelp
My kind of place. Ample parking, think "Baby got Back" plenty of room to play. Nice selection of uniquely flavored beers. Two independent buildings with seating areas and beer!!! Board games in one and Bocce Ball in the other. Food trucks provide some tastey eats!!!!
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
Wow is all I can say. This is some of the most flavorful beer I've ever had! If you enjoy craft beer you owe it to yourself to stop by and experience Rock House Brewing!!!

Sean P.

Yelp
Place is great! Great beer and a good place to get away from down town and have fun! Dog friendly and very spacious, also has a big screen for watching games. The only complaint would be that furniture is dated.
google avatar

Will M.

Yelp
Great place to come and hang out. The main building is a little small, but they have a warehouse in the back that has a bar , 2 bocce courts , a ping pong table and a soccer pool game. The beer good, but what would keep me clean coming back is the large open space the have inside and out. I think most of the beer is their own but they do have a few others on tap that are not theirs. They allowed dogs in the warehouse and kids. There was a food truck outside the night we went that had pizza because the brewery itself does not serve food. Overall the place has great space and seems to be kids and pet friendly

Yelp
This has to be my least favorite brewery within the Lexington area. I've tried to find reasons to like their beer but I just can't come up with it. On our last visit we went in to grab our tagabrew and split a beer. Because Kevin likes most anything we ordered a beer that's more on my scale, we ordered the Wheat beer. Sat down in one of the comfy chairs in front of the makeshift fireplace, took a drink and wanted to spit it back out, my tastebuds and sense immediately rejected it. This was NOWHERE near what is considered a "wheat" beer. This my friends was hoppier than the hops they must have used. Kevin of course liked it but still wasn't a fan. Needless to say we committed alcohol abuse this day an almost full glass of beer.

Yelp
Came here to sample The Shannon the Dude Brew. Drove back into a parking lot with a warehouse, not the most aesthetically pleasing, but kind of hits you with this salt-of-the-earth kind of ambiance that worked for me. There are board games to play and tables for drinking and hanging out. Hate that I was in a rush and couldn't stay long, but hope to revisit soon. Wish they would bottle their brews.

Yelp
I love this place. I started coming last year for the GoT watch parties. Then I came back for the eclipse watch party. They are pet friendly with water bowls and treats for you doggos and puppeters. There's always something fun going on here. Their patio is amazing. Everything here makes you feel more like you're at home rather than out drinking. Super chill.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! There beer is fantastic! I really enjoy the cream ale. Friendly staff cute little place with ample parking and a great little fire area. I hope these guys do very well!
google avatar

Mark C.

Yelp
First visit. Beer was good, building was cool and open mic on the patio!!! I'll go back!
google avatar

Alison B.

Yelp
Grand opening! Smaller house with 10 taps and a large warehouse out back with food trucks, cornhole, and another bar with taps. Lots of parking and friendly staff.
google avatar

Elaine D.

Yelp
The small quarry building with it's tiny bar and great stone fireplace is cozy, a definite conversation booster. I had the Rock House Riot Act Rye Beer, quite different and very "spicy" with herbal and citrus undertones. The huge taproom is "warehouse" like, with picnic tables, a ping pong table, corn hole, and a large screen, likely used to show relevant sporting events, and plenty of parking. Rock House isn't the kind of place I would seek out, but check it out for yourself if you're at that end of town. It might be you're kind of place.
google avatar

Logan L.

Yelp
I love this brewery. It's super casual and quaint. It has board games and good beer. The bartender with the dog is really friendly. Out of all the breweries in Lexington this is defiantly top 3. Definitely recommend
google avatar

Anna R.

Yelp
Decent beer and atmosphere. Not my fave but it's not my fave style beer so that's no fault of theirs. It can be super busy or dead depending on the night. I don't often pick to go here but I also won't say no to it either.
google avatar

Heather K.

Yelp
Great beer! My husband and I both got flights and were not disappointed. We really appreciate that they are dog friendly as well - indoors and out, with water bowls and treats, as we were traveling from out of town with our pups and options can be limited!
google avatar

Tristan W.

Yelp
Great beer. I had great coffee cream ale. Although, it was left over special release from craft beer week. Free board games to play. Beers were $5 to $8 a beer. High alcohol beers are 10 ounces while most are 16 ounces. They have a lot of out side seating area, including a fire pit where they have open mic night on Wednesdays. There was a BBQ food truck but the venue does not serve food.
google avatar

Howeidy W.

Yelp
I can't say enough about Rock House. Extremely quaint, very chill, and simply amazing. Definitely a place to check out!
google avatar

Barry B.

Yelp
This place is awesome. The beers is terrific and they have so many things to do while you are here. There is out door seating and a fire pit. They have a large building where they brew the libations and a ping pong and many other games like corn-hole and and the ability to play music from your device as well as other AV options. Food truck come onsite for example they recently had a pig roast. I love our town.
google avatar

Logan B.

Yelp
Enjoyed the rye IPA. Unfortunately didn't have food tonight, but the beer was fantastic.
google avatar

Carrie R.

Yelp
Brewery #86 and Wow! From start to finish this place has it. The Cream Ale and Christmas Ale were incredible! They also have 6 guest taps that range from local taps in Lexington and a few popular breweries on the west coast! The tap room is spacious with plenty of TVs. Then the guy working behind the bar is actually part owner on a Saturday. That's what I like to see. I love to support local and I love he's the one working the weekend! It's a must stop if you are even thinking about it!
google avatar

Marcie S.

Yelp
Excellent customer service! Winter lager is on point. Love the location...quaint and homey tap room.
google avatar

Tony M.

Yelp
A hidden jewel, awesome place to hang out and chill, great atmosphere, more importantly great beer ha. Company is great and love the decor, if your lucky they will show you the brewery, which they plan to make it a hang out spot with another bar! Check these guys out, you won't regret it.
google avatar

Bobby E.

Yelp
Great set up and location. Friendly staff and the beers are very good. The main tap room area is awesome. Lots of fun games to play in the warehouse as well. Big fan of the beers and excited to see the beer list expand.

Stacy D.

Yelp
I enjoy the beer but the location is fairly rough. It's an enjoyable visit every time, but I'm always a bit turned off by the location. Beer is great though! The coconut porter is a favorite.
google avatar

Jaime G.

Yelp
We attended the opening of this wonderful new brewery. The beer was amazing, great food trucks and excellent live music. The place was packed and we had a chance to meet the proprietors of the brewery who where very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the beer selection. We will definitely be back soon.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
A small, dark dungeon with a fireplace & chimney that divide the space in a really bad way - they block the bar from the main seating area, leaving very little room for patrons to sit at the bar & others to come up & order. Beer selection was also lacking. Won't be back.

Drew A.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! I've been to every brewery on the Brewgrass Trail, and Rock House has the best beer by a long shot. The main building isn't huge, but I love the smaller, more comfortable vibe. As everyone else mentioned, there is also a back patio and a large warehouse with seating. The staff is always super friendly. I have had three or four flights here (as well as several pints) and I have not tasted a single beer that was anything less than delicious. They do some really fun and unique things with their brews and they do a damn good job with it.

John K.

Yelp
We went to Rock House for the first time and we will be back. The Rock House brews were great! The bartender Danny very friendly and knowledgeable about the brews, how they were made, and beer in general. It a relaxing atmosphere.

James D.

Yelp
I usually dont write reviews but the guys at Rock House Brewing deserve it! This in now my favorite brewery in Lexington. The owner's and employee's have tons of knowledge about their beers and have a great taste in guest taps. They do not serve food but usually have food trucks outside. I would definitely recommend Rock House Brewing to anyone!
