Cynthia did an amazing job on my hair. She put highlights underneath my hair where some were missing. Angela is quite the hair washer ! She did great too, and helped get started on my blowout. I will be back!

I always do vivid colors such as blue and purples. I've really let my hair go. Thanks to Cynthia, I'm back to my spunky blue/purple/pink haired self. Getting to vibrant colors is no easy task. Cynthia is definitely skilled as my hair still feels healthy even after lightening it. She took care to make sure no parts of my hair got over processed. I will definitely be back once my hair needs to be retouched. Thanks again Cynthia!

Love this salon so much that I’ve recommended it to so many people. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. Debbie knows exactly how to color and style my hair. I drive 30 min just to go see her because I know she won’t damage my hair like others have done in the past.

My boys are finally big enough for a regular salon cut and Cynthia was AMAZING. We have had many failed attempts with my son’s hair at other places due to the cowlicks in his hair and she gave him a manageable style that suited him great. Always a great experience here! I’ve gotten several haircuts over the past few years and John is amazing. My hair has changed from tight curls to slightly straight and wavy and John gave me a haircut that fit my face perfectly and brings more texture to it! Always a great visit!

I've been going to Deb for at least 2 years. She listens and I always come out looking great in a style that's easy for me to manage. Everyone there is warm and fun besides being extremely talented. I'm really fortunate that I found a really great salon.

I had my first experience yesterday with Cynthia and it was great! Quality, skill on point and everyone is so nice and welcoming. So glad I found a new salon that I can be a long time customer after the girl I had for years moved to a different state.

First experience was excellent! I can't remember my artists name but I can't wait to come back for color! All techs had beautiful color, you can tell it's their speciality and they've perfected the craft. I asked for a split end trim, layers & curtain bangs. She was very sweet, and she did a great job! I sort of miscommunicated what I was going for between the bangs and longer layers and she even blow dried my full head without charge as I wanted to skip that step, so she could better see the full result and feel good letting me leave. When I was unsure about the bangs, she called the owner over for a consult without me asking for it at all, and they cleaned them up a little more. My little cut feels super healthy, and I'm saving to do more fun stuff on the next visit

I moved to Fort Lauderdale 2 and a half years ago, and you know how difficult it is to trust a new stylist. Well, Deb is AMAZING, and her prices are so reasonable for South Florida. She is so great with color. I'm 52, but my 20 and 24 year old daughters also love her.

John has been styling, coloring, hi & low lighting my hair for Years!! At times I have even requested a perm & John is the Only Person I Trust with this procedure!! My experience has been that beauty schools haven't spent any real time on this technique for decades & I've been very disappointed with my results from other stylists however John is a Master of this technique!! I Highly Recommend John & Deborah (very innovative) at Rock Paper Scissors Salon!!

This was my first time at this salon and I was extremely satisfied with the service! Everyone had great energy and I clicked right away with Deb. She layered and straightened my hair. I was so happy with the results and excited to show it off that I forgot to take pictures. Rock, Paper, Scissors was recommended to me years ago & I am a VERY PICKY hair-person, so I gave them a shot. I made an appt. with Debra, the rest is history & she has been my hairdresser for years now & is wonderful. She takes the time to listen to what you want, make suggestions & ultimately will do whatever YOU want. It's a small, cute & friendly salon with very reasonable costs for their services. TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!

So far, my husband, 6 year old son and I have had our hair cut by John and I am very pleased with the outcomes. My husband in particular is hard to please when it comes to his hair and he had nothing to complain about when he was finished. John listens very well to whatever request you give him and gives you exactly what you want, if not better. I loved my haircut! The girls who washed and blowed dried my hair were also very nice and pleasant to talk to. They even gave some good advice when I asked about how to deal with some hairstyling problems. I'll be back and will also be bringing my family!

I've been to a lot of people to do my hair. I'm never happy with the way it turns out. The minute I walked in for my appointment, Deb looked at my hair and knew exactly what I needed. She asked me what I was looking for. She did above that and more. My hair turned out amazing and I'm so excited that I finally found a hair dresser that understands my needs.

Came here on a work trip before my weekend off, Im always scared of getting haircuts but John gave me exactly what i asked for. V shape cut and kept the longest point close to the length i had before, im trying to grow my hair out but i knew a v cut would take a lot of hair off everywhere else and every other salon was always too afraid to do it... maybe didn't know how to but John killed it. Kayla touched up my face framing layers and gave me the most effortless blowout that lasted 2 days. Very comforting space. Confidence levels went up and my hair feels so healthy!! Thanks guys! :)

I have to admit, I'd spent the last x amount of years going to a local beauty school to get my hair cut or colored. Before my wedding this October, I wanted to try a more experienced salon. I saw reviews for Rock, Paper, Scissors and decided to give them a call. Not only did John totally deliver on the best highlights I've had in years, but he freshened up my hair with a cut and even applied a keratin treatment to smooth my wild hairline for my wedding 'do! I was so pleased with the service, their demeanor and friendly environment, and professionalism. I'll definitely be back!

So happy with my hair. My stylist is simply wonderful. I came here as a result from another stylist overly highlighting my hair. I'm a proud brunette. My RPS (Rock Paper Scissors) stylist asked all the right questions and made an assessment to fix my color AND style. And I love it. She toned it down and set the right expectations to ensure the quality and feel of my hair is smooth and healthy. This place is also operated so well and drama free. Great prices and products and talent.

Debra is the best! She communicates so well and was able to squeeze me in. She does excellent color, cut and style.

Not the best experience. I came in wanting some length taken off the top, a low taper, and with the sides kept a little longer to match the length up top because I don't like disconnected parts. Even brought in a picture. Instead, the top was kept long, the taper started way too high, and the sides too short. I tried to make the style work but was too hard, nothing wanted to do what I wanted it to. I called to have the cut fixed. I was told to come in 4:45. Got there 4:40 and told it would be just a minute. No one said a word to me after that until 5:15. I was told that it was how my hair grows that made the style look bad. Not that the style I was given isn't what I asked. The new cut is still bad. I have random long pieces sticking out a half inch longer than the rest of my hair. It doesn't help that John immediately styles your hair so you don't get a chance to examine it from the side or back. I'm going to another place to hopefully get it fixed finally. UPDATE 6/5/2018: RESPONDING TO THE OWNER'S RESPONSE First: I was never offered a drink while I was waiting. I know this because I was texting my fiancée the entire time since I usually just live with a bad haircut and never get it fixed so she wanted to make sure I got what I wanted. No time was there a "someone finally came up to me." To directly copy from my texts: "still waiting", "still sitting here", "it's been 25 minutes since I walked in", and "no one has said anything since I first came in." Second: I was under the impression I had a 4:45 because when I called earlier I was told to come at 4:45. If that isn't a convenient time then don't tell me to come then. I understand wanting to squeeze me in as soon as possible, but if that amounts to sitting for half an hour while you are busy with numerous other customers and closing duties, give me a different time or explain that to me beforehand. Third: it is the exact same picture because I only have one picture of a man's hairstyle saved on my phone. That one. I didn't somehow magically produce a different saved photo at that moment which then deleted itself. I do understand it involves a bunch of styling, but you never gave me that cut and style. I had shaggy hair coming in that was annoyingly long for me so I know I had enough to work with. I told you I wanted to keep the sides longer up top with a low taper. You went way too high and too tight. I specifically said I did not want a disconnected part and that I wanted the hair to the left and the right of the part to be the same length. I didn't want asymmetrical so I wouldn't have to worry about picking out long pieces from one side and short pieces from the other. I also never stated I wanted a wash and wear. I stated I wanted something that on the weekends I wouldn't have to put a ton of product in and could wear it more messy for a casual look. And my hair coming in had been blow dried with mousse in it and still looked bad. There is no fault for assuming things because I was pretty specific about what I wanted. This simply isn't what I wanted. Lastly, there is no manipulation of the hair. I didn't comb specific pieces over to make a bad picture. The piece sticking out is well below the part in my hair. It's not coming from above it. I also know how to blow dry and style my hair. I've had it all my life. I have pastes, mousse, creams, and pomades. This isn't a styling issue. It's a cut issue. I hate writing bad reviews and I also really hate having to defend myself. I wasn't going to respond until you commented that "this style can be manipulated to look bad." That accusation is a pretty crappy thing to do and really pissed me off. Your place had great reviews and I was really excited to have a salon I could stick with and be a regular at. Not anymore.

I've been going to Deborah for several years and she never disappoints! She listens to what you "think" you want lol, gives you her advice and then she will do exactly whatever "you" ask her to do, so you leave with a happy haircut. My mom was my hairdresser all of my growing-up until I left home. Sometimes she gave me a choice of what I wanted and other times not lol. That being said, she loved what she did and considered herself an artist. I was spoiled! So, when you FINALLY find "that one?" Life is good.

I called this salon last minute to see if I could get a haircut, and they squeezed me in at the end of the day. I was so HAPPY! Deborah cut my hair and she did an Amazing job. I have long hair so I was very surprised that it was only $35.00. She freshened up my layers and cut my bangs. I will definitely go back. Thank you!!!

To be honest, I started noticing the salon because of its name - how cute and clever - and I've been going to here for years. They take my grays, I meant sparkles, off of my hair (and put them in my eyes, according to John!). Debbie makes my eyebrows oh-so-puuuurty!!! I don't trust many people with a haircut, but I have complete faith in these guys. What I also love is that I can schedule a mani/pedi, so I walk out of the salon ready to take on the world!!! Thank you for always taking such good care of me! Highly recommended!

I scheduled a cut and style today and got double booked which wasn't too bad but it seemed more like triple booked. I was upset but had other things on my mind since I had to run right after and pick up my sick kid from daycare. I have a interview today and this is how they let me leave! It seemed okay in the front but they just gave me a cut and wash and all together it was 80 bucks for this disgusting hair do. My husband had to cut off the extra strand but the three people who saw me didn't say anything ?! Honestly I want a refund.

i really wanted to like this salon, i swear. The first time i went in, i actually did like it...mostly. The important thing is that i really like the cut that i got. The rest i could deal with if i got a great cut. The second time i went in was a different story...i called about midday to try my luck with an open spot for a cut later that day after work. They happily obliged and i came in at the agreed upon time. All was well until just after my shampoo, 2 ladies walked in and my stylists face looked like a deer in headlights. He had clearly double booked himself. These ladies were getting the works, highlights, color, cut et cetera. It was then i realized i was small potatoes. My cut was rushed and turned out looking that way. There's nothing worse than being devalued and watching it manifest in your haircut. I wouldn't mind giving the female hair dresser there a try but at this point i feel like my current hairdresser would be personally offended and put blue dye in my shampoo.

After a 9 year commitment with my former hairstylist, I decided to branch out and try something new. I followed the amazing reviews for Rock Paper Scissors and scheduled an appointment with Debbie. She was sweet and friendly, asking all the right questions and offering great information as well. I got a great cut and scheduled my next appointment on the spot. No pictures this time because I was make up free and looked like a bridge troll but next time I'll be posting my fab hair!

I experienced a hurried atmosphere where my needs where not a priority. My hairdresser was juggling several people and I was left sitting for at least 25 minutes. My highlights didn't "lift" the color due to the lack of attention that I received. $184,00 later, I left pretty much looking like I did when I arrived. Not the experience I had hoped for unfortunately. Cindy

This is my fourth haircut with Deb. She does a fantastic job. I wear my hair short and her cuts are precise and just what I ask for.

I went here for a haircut and blow dry. The set up is inviting and has a cool vibe going. The staff was friendly and attended to me once I arrived. However, I was not that happy with my haircut. I wanted layers and spice up my look. I understand it's a bit difficult since I have long hair and in order to keep that length, I have to be mindful of how and how much I cut. I felt rushed, as there was someone sitting next to me waiting for their appointment (even though I had an appointment as well) and my stylist quickly finished the cut and ran through the blow dry. I asked him to cut more off to create more angles (after the blow dry) and that was done really quickly as well. I left feeling unfinished, rushed, and with a good-girl-next-door-playing-it-safe kind of haircut.

The BEST salon in South Fla! Deb the owner, and hairstylist knows her color and very knowledgeable and up to date with styles. You will always walk away very happy!

Really needed a cut after one month ago having had a fresh cut and I didn't want to keep driving so far to go to the hair salon I trusted. Looked up salons that seemed cool in my area and this one popped up. I wanted to wait a day and to see how my hair looked after I styled it myself before I really had made up my mind if I was happy with the cut. I was a bit apprehensive going to a new stylist and I know that I can be very particular about what I am looking for in a cut. I've got to say that, after a day and having styled my hair the way I liked for work this morning, I am very much pleased and a bit relieved, since I didn't know what to expect. I am also very happy that I won't have to keep driving so far each month to get a trim every time I need a haircut. I was supposed to be at my appointment by 2 but I was running late, so I called. They were very cool with this, and as soon as I made it in, they introduced me to Gina, my stylist. She asked me what I was looking for and I gave her a brief explanation of what I wanted, along with recent pictures of my hair, so that she can get a better idea. I am then led to get my hair washed by a nice young lady whose name I cannot remember. Gina did a fantastic job and was just friendly enough. I was a bit tired and I think she could sense that, so she didn't ask too many questions and just allowed me to relax while she snipped away. I swear that I was falling asleep a few instances. Gina must have really understood what I wanted because I styled my hair today and it was indeed what I was looking for in a trim. Best thing was that, while most places charge like $50 for a men's haircut (plus tip,) Rock Paper Scissors only charges $28, which I think is very reasonable! Obviously, I tipped, so all in all, it was very affordable and I didn't have to drive so far! The place is small but really nice and stylish and the staff is friendly and adept with meeting the client's expectations. I highly recommend this establishment as your newest hair salon!

Best salon in plantation. Me and my 5 year old son go there to John to get out haircuts. They are always on time, staff is very friendly and John has a great approach for kids as well. Highly recommended.
