Rock Salt Cafe Brasserie

Haven't been for 4 or 5 yrs but I have to say I couldn't fault it. A late breakfast, a really good choice on the menu and a lovely venue. Good decor, good background music and delicious food as well. We both had vegan breakfast's and it was a perfect choice. Super couple of coffee's each and wonderful conversation with the beautiful woman opposite me just made it a special occasion.

Wonderful lunch, the food quality here was truest amazing, one of the best places in Plymouth for sure, as good as many other fine dining places. Great value for the quality 😋 The lunch menu had some great options on it, the chef has done a fantastic job with the food here 💯

Went for evening food, it was up to the reviews. The food itself was very flavourful and fairly portioned given the style. The sauces were a particular highlight and were very strong across all our dishes. The menu could have been more clear in what was a starter/sharing plate and what was a main (I ordered slightly more than I wanted).

Absolutely loved it! I recommend to try the sticky braised beef brisket and the panna cotta with mango 👍😋

We had an amazing meal here, what a find! Adventurous and varied menu; the beef buns, black pudding scotch egg and salt and vinegar doughnuts were just delicious to start. The sticky pig and pork & prawns & peanuts were equally awesome for mains. Staff were lovely and gave friendly and attentive service. Just wish I lived close enough to become a regular.

A five star place for a ten star restaurant. Great atmosphere, relaxed service, perfect food. We had the lamb shoulder and fried mackerel. Everything was expertly seasoned, wonderfully presented. Can't wait to go again!

Set unusually in an industrial area, this place is a huge success in its first year. The decor is basic, but charming. Service is friendly and generally great. The food is possibly the best in Plymouth. Highly recommended. Worth a detour! I may upgrade after trying more dishes.

I've eaten here several times for breakfast and dinner and keep coming back because it's amazing. Easily one of the best, if not the best, place to eat in Plymouth. Agreed, it is in a slightly odd location, but it's great inside and the food is incredible. You'll probably have to book in advance!

This should be in the restaurants section. Went there with 2 friends tonight (15 January 2013) and it was excellent. Very friendly service. Pleasant and unpretentious. The starters were excellent. Black pudding scotch egg type thing. Salmon and crispy mussels and very interesting iced wasabi which was very refreshing and mellow. The mains were brilliant. Fish and venison and a burger. Some of the best chips I've had. Really tasty. Well seasoned and beautifully presented. Recommended for all.

Rock Salt Cafe is worth a serious detour. The food is not to be believed. Our home bace is NYC and we have eaten at many fine places around the world. This out-of-the way cafe served up sea bass, guinnea hen, salad and peach Melba that establishments with Michelin stars would be proud to call their own. It is a small, friendly and modestly priced Bisto. Popular with locals; make a reservation

My husband and I have eaten here on several occasions for lunch and dinner and the food is absolutely delicious. Every dish is so full of flavour it's certainly never fails to satisfy the taste buds. The staff are friendly and very welcoming and the venue is warm and inviting. I highly recommend the lamb dish and the crab cocktail for starters mmmmm it's the best lamb and crab dish I've tasted.
