Good spacious rooms (we were in an 8 bedroom dorm) and kitchen was relatively clean. ||There’s a few common areas that have good natural light and couches to lounge around on.||Doesn’t have an overly homey fee but I think that is in part due to the layout of the hostel. It’s multi-storey building and things are spread across all levels.

Hostel has a very strange layout - slope up to the reception then a coded door, more corridors, card fob needed for the next 2 doors etc. However the man on reception was very friendly and welcoming - knew lots of information about the local attractions. Our double room was cozy, with an aircon/heating unit adjusted in room with a remote. Bed was comfy and had coffee/tea facilities. Bathroom was along the corridor and came complete with hair dryer, straightener and 3 in 1 shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. ||Didn’t use the rock climbing wall but the lounge and kitchen area were great and had a seating area with tv.

Had an incredible stay in the 4-bed interior dorm! Front desk staff were friendly, there was a heater in the dorm room and the toilets were clean. Complimentary tea bags in the kitchen were a nice touch, perfect for relaxing after a long day outside. Great central location too, in close proximity to various transport options and amenities.

Lovely hostel. My double room was big and the heater worked well. The bathrooms were clean and large. The hostel is very centrally located, but there is ample parking nearby (free on the weekends!). I had some trouble pulling up my backpacker group code at check-in, but the staff were very friendly and were able to apply the discount retroactively at check-out which was amazing. I'd definitely stay here again if I found myself back in Rotorua!

Location is excellent with lot of cafes and restaurants.I took the Intercity coach which dropped off at the tourist information site. From there it is a less than 5 minutes straight walk and then turning right to reach the hostel.Very friendly and helpful receptionist however do note it is closed at 6pm. Toilet and shower areas are very clean despite huge group during my stay. Shower gel and towel are provided which is great for me.I stayed in private single room which is good enough for me. Have kitchen with fridges, microwaves, stoves , utensils, pans , cleaning soap…… paid washing machines. U can parked your luggage after checkout for free. Walking distance to Rotorua Central Mall which has a food court and McDonald n KFC for slightly cheaper meal options.Entrance to hostel are always locked with passcode thus felt safe .I will definitely stay there if I am in Rotorua.

I had a great stay here! I love that there are sloped ramps instead of stairs up. There were 3 bunks in my room and 2 single twin beds! I enjoyed a night of not having anyone above or close to me! Staff was super friendly. Lots of supplies in the kitchen for cooking. Walking distance to the Polynesian Spa. Overall loved my stay here!

THE hostel in Rotorua. Perfect location near the city centre and all major bus routes and there's lots to do as the climbing wall and cinema is located just downstairs. The hostel also offers discounts on various local attractions. The facilities were amazing, offering large storage lockers, a decent kitchen and even a TV in the lounge area with plenty of films to choose from. They offer a cheap self-laundry service at 8 dollars in total for a wash and dry, and will change your cash for you at the reception. But where this hostel truly shines is the service. The staff were all super helpful and friendly, especially Dale, who offered me advice on where to go during my stay. All in all this is one of the best hostels I've stayed in, definitely stop by if you're in the area.
