Rockaway Beach Brewery

Had an amazing work lunch at Rockaway Beach Brewery! Our team decided to grab a casual midday bite, and this spot totally delivered. We ate out in their beautiful large backyard, which added such a chill, open-air vibe to the whole experience—plenty of space for our group, with that fresh coastal breeze making it even better. We ordered a bunch to share—started with the Battered Shoestring Fries (crispy perfection with that subtle seasoning), House Salsa & Corn Chips (fresh and zesty, great for dipping), and the Seafood Chowder (rich, flavorful clams and rockfish in every spoonful, topped with those bread crumbs for extra crunch). For mains, we went all in on the Wood Fired Pizzas: the Fig Willi with dried figs, bacon, sweet onion, arugula, and balsamic glaze was an absolute standout—sweet and savory heaven on a perfectly charred crust. The Big Italy pizza brought some veggie vibes with zucchini, bell peppers, and more arugula, super fresh and light. We also grabbed the Fried Chicken Sandwich (juicy thigh, melty white cheddar, and that remoulade sauce—opted for the shoestring fries on the side) and the Rockaway Burger (beef patty done right, with house pickles adding that tangy kick). Everything came out hot, portions were generous for sharing, and the gluten-free options made it easy for everyone in the group. Wrapped up with the Chocolate Bread Pudding topped with vanilla ice cream—decadent and not too heavy for lunch. The service was friendly and quick, even during a busy afternoon, and the beachy vibe with brewery touches made it feel relaxed yet professional for a work gathering. Prices are fair for the quality, and we’d definitely come back. 5 stars all the way!

Back…for the third time. My third visit to the third iteration of a business at this location proved to be the finest. FYI I reserve “5 Star” ratings of food for places such as HIllstone SF, R&D Kitchen (Yountville), Piccino’s (Dogpatch), and Uoyakutei (the red house sushi restaurant on Highway 1 here in Pacifica). I no longer drink alcohol—the two mocktails available, as well as the 2 non-alcoholic beers they offer are above satisfactory. They do not serve coffee (bummer). If you have not been here, please know that there are nearly 100 parking spaces, several EV charging stations. It is an excellent cannabis-smoking parking lot. The outside seating is one of the coolest spots I have ever seen. Bring your kids & dogs—they can all run free like there is no tomorrow. The brewery provides hula-hoops (free of charge) to occupy the kids. Also, a cornhole kit exists in the back (pun intended). There are several shipping containers which have been converted into semi-private dining bungalows! The outdoor furniture is truly comfortable. There are ramps all over the place—anyone who requires an accessible situation will have no issue moving about the Rockaway Beach Brewery. Dogs are welcome out back. Bathrooms are located outside, just off the dining room. Servers are all exceedingly friendly, nice to look at. You can order food for take-out (not over the phone, or online). It is worth it—pop in for a drink, order to-go, enjoy the vibe. Chicken Sando (chicken thigh) and Burger are delicious. The menu (as of 6/7/2025) has expanded yet I recommend you begin with these two items. We (the royal “We”) love this place. Great customer service, and a beautiful spot. “We” (the editorial) take our non-alcoholic drinks out back to the far end for maximum ocean view. Now put your phone away and go have fun with your fellow human beings (and dogs). Parents: there are chicken nuggets, and a soft pretzel on the menu. We made our fifth visit to the brewery on Saturday, July 20, 2025. We have now tried everything on the menu. Seafood chowder was top-of-the-line. Fish taco, and fish and chips are not to be missed.

Glad they opened in this space! Really nice ambiance with a variety of indoor/outdoor and booths, bar, regular and high tables. It’s a huge space. The beer and food were both better than average. The counter service model is a little sad but it moves quickly. Great spot for families with kids to come drink, get a good burger, good fries, and listen to an okay cover and.

~ Side note to owner: y'all could use some flags on the roof that say beer/craft brewery so those driving on the highway know this gem of a place exists! As is the signage is severely lacking ~ Beautiful inside and out! A much needed space in this region ~ Quality brews and solid food to go with it. Burger and fries was about $18, worth it. This place was such a treat! Absolutely beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. The servers were very sweet and accommodating, as my friend and I both showed up with our dogs - the patio is dog friendly! They have a great outdoor space for live music, which we will be back for. We were lucky enough to be there at the same time as the owner, Dee. Very gracious and friendly. She greeted our dogs, brought them water and told us all about their new menu, which was carefully crafted. There’s something for everyone there, even a handful of vegetarian/vegan options which is refreshing as I’m vegan. The sangria and Amber ale were devine, artisanal treats!! I even tried a mocktail - Lyre’s Amalfi spritz, so refreshing, and again, something for everyone here. I value when a restaurant has put as much care into the entire experience, start to finish, like Rockaway Beach Brewery has done in an understated, approachable way. Great job folks!!

Good coastal vibes. Comparable beers to Humble Sea imo, but better prepared and tasting food.

I really, really want to love this place. I would come every weekend if they’d figure things out, but the guest experience is pretty bad and I would suggest going to Humble Sea until they figure things out. i gave it 4 tries before giving up completely by the way - that’s how much i want this place to work! My issues are: no wait staff - you have to stand in a crazy long line just to get a beer, sub par menu, pizza oven doesn’t work. I feel like at the very least they should roll out the ordering app that Humble Sea has (toast?)

Pacifica is a great getaway for us with trails, sand and Seabreeze. What's even a big surprise was a new brewery in town named Rockaway Beach Brewery, so we popped in for a cold one. No fancy sign to draw you in just great service and good looking burger for you to spread the word, we only had a beer. Plenty of tables for groups or party's, even has a stage for live music. If you just happen to be in the area, drop on in, they will be happy to see you. Plus they are dog friendly.

I picked up a mixed pack of Saison and IPA, very delicious and coming back for more! If you can catch Pacifica on a nice day, the outdoor seating is awesome. Lots of seating, kid and dog friendly, and staff is helpful too. I'll be sure to come back soon for dinner with the family! *To the person who left a 2-star review below. If you have issues, esp during first few weeks of opening - let the staff know asap! They usually try to remedy the issues right then and there. Decided to try this place now that they're finally open for food and drink. Well, we won't be back. We got there, are there anyone here but there were some kind of private party in the back so we couldn't order any food as we were told if we ordered any food it would be at least 45 minutes and no guarantees. If you've got a private party that precludes you from offering food to walk-ins, there should be a sign at the door. The server was about to take our order before somebody interjected not to order. as it was my husband's birthday decided to stay and try their beer - the kolsch was was excellent - regular IPA NOT so great They need to decide if they are going to treat people like in a bar, rude and dismissive or if they're a family restaurant like it seems to be with lots of families.

Okay I was there in July with a friend from out of town. I bought two dinners at $18 and I bought two Bubbles at $8 what makes it $52. At the end my friend said don't worry I'll pay for the dinners. Mind you I had an open tap. So I guess my friend didn't look in what she was paying but it turns out as of today that she only paid $8 for her beer. What is totally fine I don't mind paying for her dinner and my dinner that's not the problem. The problem Lays where we told the gal behind the counter close my account and put everything on her account and she says okay. Did she follow through of course not and left my tap open. So on my statement I was charged $67.50. Why I have no idea because my dinner was $52 plus tax what would make it at the most $57 so where and for what is the $10? Are you talking tip, because that's all I can think of. And if that's the case it wasn't worth $10 tip, We had given the girl cash for tip. Because I never tip on my credit card because it takes the waitress forever to get it. Yes, I used to go to the brewery before this one and I was looking forward that this one opened up Under New Management and I'm not going to compare you with the other one but I think you guys can do better. Am I going to come back, maybe, but your food better be better. Your food was really delicious in the beginning when you first opened. I'm going to give you a little hint people who come and have a beer at a brewery they like to eat food as you well know and in pacifica there's a lot of locals that will come to the brewery and their expectations are high. So please do better because I know you can. The staff is friendly I love coming there but you guys need to do better and also change the way you charge people. I'm never doing a credit card open tap again I rather pay cash. It's also my fault a little bit for not checking and depending that the person behind the bar would have done it correctly but I guess I was wishfully hoping. Anyway that's the only reason I'm giving you two stars. Tell me what the 67.50 adds up to. I am curious to know how you got to this amount.

I live in the east bay and love to come here when I like to step away from the city life. I usually come here, grab a few beers. Last Sunday I was there and there was some miscommunication from the bartender to maybe the manager on duty? Anyways, I got up to leave after I had already paid about 10 mins ago. The guy behind the bar was like wait you gotta pay and i said I had already paid with the female bartender and for some reason he didn't believe me. There was a little back and forth and then he asked me to show him my bank statement?' Like wtf dude check your system. Then when I showed him my literal bank statement and he still didn't believe me! He then said he said "the customers always right" sarcastically. It's it the fact of right or wrong - it's the fact that I paid and you're accusing me that I didn't? It felt a little racist and judgmental honestly. Anyways, the beer is great, the food is great. You should try it. Hopefully you don't get the same guy I experienced.

We were invited here for a birthday party. The place just opened on May 9, 2025. There were a lot of people outside, not sure if they were all here for the party or just checking in. It was a beautiful day. You go in the bar area and place your order (limited menu for eats) but a ton of beer selections. I ordered the $18 burger with fries and lemonade. It was pretty good! You grab a number stand and they deliver it to you at your table. The odd thing was we had to pay for our food and drinks, but that's okay, I guess. The place was dog friendly which was great! Big place to hold a party outdoors. Lots of parking and right next to Sea Bowl.

A nice place to get some beer (tbh I'm a wine girlie but still enjoyed their beer selection), hang out in the sun on the patio, catch up with friends, with plenty of room for the kiddos to run around.

We all loved this place under the prior owner and were so happy it reopened under new ownership. We are rooting for it to succeed. It is such a great spot to hang out and the beer is really good. It just has to decide if it wants to be a sports bar or a restaurant. The menu is very limited. Both the rockfish and the fish and chips dishes were very small. Not entree size. I hope they work on improving the limited menu. If not, just be a sports bar and that'll work. There's a great outside area with large overhead heaters. Unfortunately, when we asked them to turn them on, they said they didn't work. Those heaters were what made eating in that great space possible. This is Pacifica. Get them fixed!

Came across this cool restaurant brewery! Amazing service, ambiance, and menu. I tried a couple beer flights which I loved because I was able to try 8 different types of beers. My favorite was the Pineapple Express. Was able to buy some for to go. Food wise I tried the fig pizza which was 10/10, as well as the chowder *bomb*, and the salty pretzel with cheese (my favorite). The outdoor area is insanely nice! Huge space for potential parties. The owner mentioned there will be event nights coming up so I'm going to stay tuned. Pretty epic place!

Kudos to the owner and staff - what a gem to add to the coastside. Food - stellar. Service - spot on - attentive to all the details and customer service. Ambiance - can't ask for more. The details... Parking is a breeze with the huge lot in the ol' Seabowl parking lot. Order at the bar and a number given. Choice of inside or outside. Both are a great option. The outdoor space is amazing - ample places to chill and wander about with a brew or what not in hand... super dog and kid friendly. Eating outside - Condiments and napkins are available on a table just out the door to the left. Each time a table was vacated, it was less than a minute someone was wiping it down and prepping for the next patron. Food came out in good time and the staff were well above representing the tight effort that comes from a good crew pulling it together front and back of house. Not only is the beer and food excellent, the vibe is SOLID. That can only come from a solid all around effort top to tail. The burger was DELISH and the pickles taste homemade... not too big, not too small. Balanced portions on the adds to the burger. Fries are excellent too. Rockaway Brewing has long been needed, and Pacifica (and visitors!) has/have a new amazing space to get together, get a solid array of microbrews (they have wine and sparkling too), have a great time, and make new friends. Go get that goodness!

We stopped in for a few beers after a hike and had a great time. From the outside, it doesn't look like much but it is much cuter on the inside with lounge chairs/ couches in the back next to a fire pit! We ordered beers at the bar which was quick but we didn't get any food. Next time we will have to give the food a try!

Great place to meet up with friends and family. They're still figuring it out but give them a chance! Fig pizza is bomb. Follow them on instagram they post events and updates!!

Incredibly slow service for what is eventually very mediocre food. For a brewery, the beer selection is limited. Take your money somewhere else because overall this place sucks.

Service was friendly enough, atmosphere is nice (as it was under the former owners) but unfortunately the food is completely flavorless -- everything was bland and underseasoned. We had the broccolini, a cheeseburger, a fried chicken sandwich and the fish and chips, and every item tasted the same, which was bland. For $120+ (incl 3 beers) it was an expensive and unsatisfying lunch. Hopefully they are still getting their bearings, because it's a nice location and I hope to see them succeed.

Had a great time for a couple beers today. Asked the girl at the bar a little about the brewery and she gave me a quick helpful rundown. Rockaway brews on site, and they have their tanks right across the entrance of the bar (you can peek in the window if that's something that interests you). They had 8* (didn't snap a pic) beers up on the board of their own and one guest spot of the fantastic Old Rasputin from North Coast Brewing up in Fort Bragg. I had their West Coast IPA & crisp lager; both beers were solid! West coast was a bit citrusy, but had a bold & hoppy finish. Lager was clean, crisp, and had a very light body. Back patio area was large and accommodating, and they served a variety of food as well!

I've been coming to Rockaway ever since Pacifica Brewing closed and have really appreciated the changes. The food menu is fantastic -- definitely try their house sauce with the burger and fries. The service is excellent; the bartender even offered us a couple of complimentary porter and stout samplers that were almost out, which was a nice touch. I especially enjoy the ambiance of the outdoor seating area at night -- the lights make it feel warm and inviting.

Food was terrible. We had a pepperoni pizza, chicken tenders, hamburger, salad as well as the fish and chips. If you have children and want food that is perfect for kids, this place may be for you! Great outdoor seating and corn hole. If you're an adult, and/or a foodie, I would not recommend. The beer and cider were good, wine was awful. The service was great.... We were weekly patrons of the Pacifica Brewery and loved their food! This was below average unfortunately! I would rather have a Costco pizza to be honest! I'm sorry for the low review but the food was really that terrible for $180!

Mediocre... went for a late lunch. Order at the bar, no table service, even though I could see employees standing in the kitchen talking. Food was just not good. Fish tacos, frozen fish? Wife took the fish out and ate the tortillas! We ordered a burger with bacon, burger came out with no bacon.. The restaurant has a large outdoor space and is nice.... I wouldn't go back...

I was very happy to see this establishment open back up! My two takeaways: 1. I ordered the fish taco which was yummy but for $9 (one taco) I think THATS a bit expensive. And the tortilla was small. 2. The beer was great the ambience outside was nice. I would suggest maybe turning the music up a bit on a Friday evening just to pump up the vibes.

For a happy hour, not that great no live music playing at all. They have plenty of speakers not a happy atmosphere very nicely remodeled place. It's a shame. Plenty of free parking too. Maybe they can get it together and have some better food options cheaper prices for tap beer I think a $10 is a bit much for a happy hour... no food options for happy hour either yet to order off the regular menu that's not good also pizza came out doughy and Sides burnt waited over 40 minutes for our pizza. Sadly, we never will complain to a business with just yelp as we do NOT return food ! Wish you all the best. Hopefully you can recover since you just opened in May.

Came on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was friendly and the food was tasty. There was just an issue with consistency. Four people in our group each ordered the fish and chips. When the orders came, one plate had four pieces of fish, two plates had three pieces, and one plate had only two pieces. We weren't sure why. In the end, the one with only two pieces was eventually given another piece when we brought it to the server's attention. But the real winner was our friend who got four pieces! Maybe it was just an off day for the kitchen staff. We'll be back again and see if it was just a fluke. Like I said, the food itself was good.

This place has serious potential! We stopped in for lunch after a hike in Montara and was surprised to see such a huge parking lot, it's next to the old Sea Bowl. Location and ambience were perfect, food was good, not amazing but good. The menu is really basic and while there is an extensive beer and wine menu, the food menu just isn't wow. Add some fresh fish dishes for mains, an ahi poke option and shrimp skewers to the appetizers and another salad option or two and I think you might have something pretty special. Now to the food we did have. We had the fish tacos, the fish and chips with coleslaw. The fish was fantastic as were the tacos and fries. The ketchup definitely wasn't Heinz and it tasted a little off, the tartar sauce was good but not creamy enough and the coleslaw was not coleslaw, it was cabbage with a little mayo. We ate everything and will definitely try again. This is a premium location and has a lot of potential, just some tweaking is needed to elevate it.

First time visiting since it reopened up as Rockaway Brewery about three weeks ago. We had great weather out this Saturday which made for a fantastic brewery setting. All the employees were very friendly and kind, especially Josephine! She is a sweetheart! Met Dan the owner also who came by to introduce himself and ask for some feedback. I shared it was nice to have the open area in the back above the stairs accessible to kids now since Pacifica Brewery did not allow kids up there. Good menu - was light in options - but fries were great, pretzel was decent, and the burger was pretty darn good. It all came out pretty fast with great temperature and taste. Waited for a while for this place to open back up so overall very happy! We had a big group - the Sea Dragons playgroup from the Pacifica Families Club all wanted to go so we chose here to meet up. Lots of space for strollers and loved the open seating! We all grabbed a beer (and a baby) and had a blast. Everyone had positive things to say!! My son loved the hoola hoops! LOL

Service not good. Asked 4 times for no sauce on my chicken sandwich and still they left it on. Waitress distracted or checked out. Super small portion of chicken for sandwich. $18 not worth $5. Fries more tasteless than MCD. Terrible do not go. Fun for kids and dogs that's about it!!

What an amazing spot! We're so impressed with how this place has been transformed since reopening under the new name. The beer is on another level--fresh beyond belief, and brewed right here in-house. Bartenders are awesome, music hits the right vibe, and the burger was the real deal. Great job, Rockaway Brewery--fantastic addition to the Pacifica scene!

Although this place may not look open from the roadside it is and it has a very nice ambiance. The backyard is very spacious. Nice place to bring a kid to play and run. The food is very tasty and the beer is also very very good

Great spot that was much needed in Pacifica! Tons of space to hang out, good food and solid beer as well. We loved that it was super dog and kid friendly and the service was great as well. We'll be coming back often!

I came here yesterday for the first time in years since they changed ownership but I had a wonderful experience! It was rather empty on a weekday night but they have such a lovely indoor/outdoor space. I can imagine it would be a lot more poppin on weekends. I ordered rockfish and chips and it was delicious and I loved their new hazy IPA :) I'll certainly be coming back with the doggo!

Love this venue, space, beer, food and wine... However, please get QR codes for ordering. It takes 10 minutes to stand in line to order a drink and food. I'd order a lot more and more frequently if I didn't have to stand in line.

Excellent food, fast service, great ambiance, fantastic, friendly staff. Fresh beer brewed on site. They've been open one month, come and check them out! Pleasant kid and dog friendly beer garden.

The food is dreadful, the beer is okay. whoever the manager is when I asked to speak with them they were nowhere to be found. Was told they would grab a manager so I could tell them the issues I had with my undercooked burger and they never came. Won't be returning.

Love the vibe here! Kids friendly. Good food and drink. Came here a couple of times. We had the fish and chips on Thursday . So Bomb!

The beer and brewery space are great. I understand the benefits of being family friendly, but the patrons who brought their kids treated the place like a playground. I planned to have multiple beers, food and stay for the live music but ended up leaving after a single beer. Children were throwing tantrums, running all over and the parents were not paying attention or they were trying to negotiate with their screaming 3 year old like it was their own home. They clearly did not care about bothering the other patrons. It felt like a preschool yard. We come to Pacifica to enjoy the outdoors and local businesses, maybe we just aren't the target clientele.

This place is great. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a big group with kids and they easily accommodated us. The outdoor area is huge, they have lots of tables, corn hole, and lots of space for the kids to explore - they had a blast. Food was great as well, they had a lot of great options. Would definitely recommend it especially for larger groups. Will be heading back!

Absolutely great location and a huge outdoor area that is friendly for the whole family. Stellar food and brews. The staff couldn't be nicer and service was prompt. Looking forward to trying the other beers, Rockaway Porter was my favorite!

don't know his position in the brewery is but a worker named mike ( he previously introduced himself at our table)was extremely disrespectful to his servers in front of guests going the the length of making me and my mother so uncomfortable that we had to leave. will not be back unless this problem is fixed
