"One block west of the Bund you can find the Rockbund Art Museum, housed in Shanghai's former Royal Asiatic Society building (1932). Like many of the grande dame Bund buildings, RAS was dreamt up by British design firm Palmer and Turner and done to the nines in art deco style. The museum hosts its share of heavy hitters from the contemporary art world, such as Zhang Huan, Cai Guo-Qiang, and Felix Gonzalez-Torres. Rockbund is small but charming, especially the tranquil top-floor café and lounge, which give way to a small terrace overlooking the Pudong skyline."

Can’t believe I fell for this scam. A projector showing some dude’s vacation photos from the 90s. 100 yuan for nothing. Do yourself a favour and skip it.

Nice to see some displays from up and coming artists. Some of the video displays are quite useful as both a visual spectacle, and as a learning tool for when I work on my mandarin.

The building is nice but the art exhibits are small, many are really very pretentious and at 100 Yuan a person, way too expensive. Give it a miss

Nice little art museum + great architecture building ! I fell in love with this little art museum, the arts exhibitions are on 5 floors, big space + good lightning, the last floor is a small coffee + a terrace with a nice view on Shanghai skyline, you will just love it. The cost is only 15 rmb, you should consider visit it, if you love art + architecture like me, enjoy !
