"Do you remember the opening scene from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, where the kids get out of school and head straight to the candy shop? It seems like those kind of authentic candy shops are a thing of the past, but Rocket Fizz on the Marietta Square is here to keep this tradition alive. While the owners may not come out from behind the counter to sing "The Candy Man" and through chocolate out to the kids, this candy shop is here to give the nostalgic feeling we all crave once in a while. When you enter the shop, you're immediately shot back in time to when you were a kid. The walls are covered in posters of all sorts, while the floor is filled with candy, soda and toys from all around the world. From Asia to Australia, you can taste the sweet delicacies experienced from all parts of the globe. The soda pop selection is second to none. Not only do they bottle their own brand of sodas, but they sell brands from all across America. Come taste a unique take on the classic cream soda or dare to have a swig of bacon, ranch dressing or buffalo wing-flavored soda! Rocket Fizz is here to bring a piece of the past to present and show future generations what it means to have a local candy shop in their backyard. No matter how big or small your sweet tooth craving is, Rocket Fizz has your sugar high fix you're looking for." - Green Mellen Media

If you've got a favorite candy, they must have it here! Lots of nostalgic candies we all remember, and a great selection of candy and chips from other countries as well. Big barrels to buy by the piece or in bulk, or individual candy bars, etc. Fun novelty candy sets, funny and interesting soda bottles, and reproduction vintage signs. So much fun and always a "must" when we go to the Marietta Square! 🍭

Google
Love this store. Fun and always fully stocked. It was open late on a Monday evening when everything thing else on the square was closed. We had a great time!!

Gardy Banks

Google
This place is a kids dream! I love the aesthetics and they are fully stocked with SOOO much stuff. Good luck not finding the candy you’re looking for. They are a bit pricey, aside from that it’s a super dope spot.

Marilyn Gonzalez

Google
I loved this place, they have a huge variety of candy and sodas. The selection of taffy was creative and abundant. I like how they had a lot of retro candy as well. Grabbed 6pk of sodas -- the bacon flavor was not good, but you win some, you lose some when you try new things out.

Google
We always have to stop here when in Marietta square, Georgia. Every candy you could ever remember or want!!! The glass bottled drinks are packed by thousands.... ever row of the store in all flavors imaginable and every name you could dream of! Great for gifts and especially Parties and Christmas! Stop in with your dog!!

Rebecca Forester

Google
This is a beautiful and fun store with products you won’t see anywhere else. Worth the trip to check it out.

Nicholas Isola

Google
The store tried to charge me more than the price tag on items. When I asked the cashier about it they refused to honor the price. Won't be shopping here again.

Google
Going to this shop is sure to trigger a wave of nostalgia for candy or soda aficionado. 10, 20, 30, 40 or more years ago, this shop has a selection of some of the greatest sugary treats you can imagine. What I love most is the amazing selection of old school sodas. Frostie, Crush, Red Vine, Dad's and more loveliness. The reason I was there, this time, was to load up on stocking stuffers to Christmas. Love this place.

Yelp
Super cool candy store. All different types of candy and drinks, they have nostalgic candy and the latest candy as well. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area

Yelp
What a fun and amazing candy and soda shop!! When I first walked in, I instantly felt like a kid in the candy store. Memories of my youth flashed before my eyes as I saw so much candy and soda inside the shop. There were literally so much candy that I felt overwhelmed (in the best way possible). There were other merchandise such as cute plushies, posters, toys, hats, etc. Customer service as very friendly and the girls up front were so sweet! The shop was super clean too. There are imported candies as well. We saw candy from Japan and Korea such as kitkats, oreos, gummies, and also even hats and toys! For example, we saw some cherry blossom Oreos from Japan and also Pokemon merchandise! Also saw some ice cream cone gummies from Korea. When you walk around the store, there are literally rows and rows of candy and I did find a few kinds that I've never seen before. I grabbed the following candies: Lemonade Puchao (similar to hi-chews): a Japanese candy with a "chewing gum" consistency but it's not gum and you can swallow it. The flavor of lemonade was spot on and I enjoy the little sugar crystals while I was chewing the it. It was quite delightful. I give this 7/10. Rips Grape flavor sour strips: I have never seen the grape flavor and decided to grab a bag! It was everything that I imagined it would be. Sour, tart, and distinctive grape flavor. I almost finished the whole bag! It didn't taste as artificial and reminded me of the Welch's gummies but just sour. I give this a 8.5/10 Jello sour gummies: I was so excited to try these and boy were these sour! Not super sour but enough to taste the sourness. While I enjoyed these gummies as they had a nice, jello-like texture, there was literally only one or two gummies of the blue raspberry and green apple flavors and the rest in the bag were all cherry flavored. I give this a 6.8/10. They have so many different kids of sodas and I really want to go back to try some of them! Some of the sodas have unique flavors like "Rainbow Fizz." Overall, I would come back but I wouldn't go out of my way because it's a bit pricey for the candies, but it's a pretty cool soda and candy shop to experience!

Nicole L.

Yelp
Our neighbor asked if we had been to this famous candy store and we had no idea it existed. So the next time we went into Marietta square we went. We were in candy heaven! Everything you could imagine and more. We got some Dutch dropchas for my husband. We even got some pop rocks reminiscent from our childhood. Fun place!!!! It is a child's delight (even grown up children).

Christina A.

Yelp
Wow! This is a yes! Old timey candy shop vibes right in the Marietta Square. They have every single candy you can imagine. Tons and tons of options for glass soda bottles! They even sold really fun posters (musicians and bands, animals, and more). They have bulk candy where you can grab a small bag ($7.99) to fill to the top and also a large candy bag ($9.99) to fill up. Definitely recommend. Great customer service. Such a fun atmosphere!

Vanessa C.

Yelp
I love candy...I love sweets of all kinds. I have a nostalgic heart and soul and love finding little tokens to bring me back to my childhood. This place has it but they are pricey. The markup on standard candies you can get other places was by $2-$3. If you're craving a Ranch flavored soda or want to peruse the penny candy (although not a penny anymore!) or you're searching for a gummy rodent, this is your spot, just be prepared to pay a little extra.

Yesenia B.

Yelp
Rocket Fizz is an awesome little store. Over the years it has maintained its cleanliness and friendly staff. Even during COVID the store was doing an excellent job in keeping the customers 6 feet apart and everything look spotless. I did tell the kiddos not to touch what every single piece of candy they found interesting but to just point to what they wanted.. just in case. We drive all the way to Marietta just to get Moxie from Rocket Fizz for the hubs. They have a large selection of soft drinks, almost every variety of chocolate and candy. They did not have "Blueberry Faygo". Bummer. Prices are reasonable and parking is plenty in the area. If you are in Marietta Square check them out.

Kiah R.

Yelp
Really cool old fashioned candy store. I felt like a kid again entering! It's very easy to stay in here for a while reading all of the names of the HUNDREDS of different sodas they have, if you look at my picture you'll be very entertained! They had mustard & pickle flavored soda and all kinds of nasty but intriguing flavors. They also had almost every candy imaginable & these posters you could purchase all at very reasonable prices.

Josh S.

Yelp
Tasty exotic sodas Lots of sour candy witch I love... the staff are sooooo nice!!! they also had sum exotic chips that were very spicy

Jim W.

Yelp
I believe this is part of a chain; we visited another location nearer to us a couple of years ago. Still, this was well worth a quick browse on a hot day. They have a surprisingly large selection of obscure candies, mostly from the U.S. If there is something from a different region or from your semi-distant childhood that you want to reconnect with, this is the spot for you! We had fun just walking along the perimeter shelf and looking at all teh different selections. If you are anywhere near the Marietta square, this is worth a look.

Adrienne J.

Yelp
Didn't realize the vibe in this store was to yell at customers. Brought our daughter here and a woman with red hair snapped at her to stop jumping inside the store. Needless to say we had to comfort our youngest after being yelled out in public. Terrible!

Georgia B.

Yelp
An OLd fashioned candy store at the Marietta Square, is a good place to pick up sweets and gag gifts! Their tin signs are fun and hysterical! ++ Ambiance is FUN throwback candy store. Sweets that people recognize or heard of that are no longer (easily) found at convenience stores. ++ They sell ThrowBack candies...bins of salt water taffy in every flavor, bit O honey, jelly beans, all sorts of candy bars, lolly pops/suckers, gag items, huge selection of flavored sodas with silly labels and nostalgic tin posters. + Price is higher...taffy is by weight but most items are a couple of dollars to $20. + Service is friendly. + Parking is street and not too hard. Overall, a blast from the past kind of candy shop fun for every age! MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane - - Disgusted - Don't bother = Missed the Mark + Good ++ Better +++ EDIBLE...WHERE have you been all my LiFe!

Aaron H.

Yelp
It's really good candy and drink store great for kids. Lots of sour candy and tons of the worlds largest, for example worlds largest gummy bear, worlds largest gummy worm. And there's a worlds sourest candy there all great

Krista G.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and the sodas were so much fun! I can't wait to share the sodas with my family.

Ms C.

Yelp
At first glance, this is a fun candy store, filled with nostalgia from your childhood. From candy to puzzles to accessories from the 60s to present, you'll find it here. I was specifically looking for imported candy and came across these peach cream candies for $5. Though they were a bit too pricey for such a small bag, like 6oz, I got them anyways. I was traveling back home the next day so I didn't get a chance to try them, just threw them in my bag. Fast forward to yesterday, mere days after I visited the store, I tried the candy. Flavor was peachy enough but found it was rather sticky for hard candy. Started looking at the package and saw the candy was expired. Was definitely disappointed because of that, in addition to the price I paid. When was the last time this store checked their? Do you check it at all? I definitely think if your going to sell imported goods, random inspections for expiring foods should be done often.

Cindie L.

Yelp
My kids really enjoyed selecting all the different kinds of candy. My son bought the toxic rich energy drink with morty. I personally enjoyed all the different types of taffy. This is a cool place to go to once in awhile...like about once a year. I'm not really a sweets person so maybe that's why but my children did enjoy themselves. The place was clean and neat and the staff was nice. Cool place. I'll visit again next year

Lilly C.

Yelp
This place reminds me of Dylan's Candy Bar in NYC on 3rd street....its definitely an entertain and fun place to take your time to browse....we came after we stuffed our faces at the Australian bakery a few doors down and as if packing 1200 calories for lunch wasn't enough...lets add another 1000 calories worth of sugar enough to send a baby horse into a coma! They have a little of everything...from Boston baked beans to Charleston chew to Mary Janes...They also have funny retro signs that make great gifts. As far as prices are concern they probably are a bit higher than say your local grocery store but it's a boutique place so you have to take that into consideration. Otherwise it's worth going at least once...

Micheal J.

Yelp
Pretty cool place. There are flavors of soda that I could never have imagined, and plenty of treats that take you back to your childhood memories.

Calex M.

Yelp
I have never seen so much insanely crazy yet delicious looking candy in one place. I wanted to try everything but there was only so much I could get. I loved this place!

Megan K.

Yelp
Definitely a place worth checking out. There are so many different varieties of sodas! We tried the grass soda, it was like sugared grass. We also tried the Doomsday Lemonade, which was a slight gray and tasted like ashes. Quite entertaining. There's so many different candies too, I feel everyone will find something here.

Scarlett F.

Yelp
This candy store is amazing and it's not only for kids but for adults as well. Any piece of candy you can think of they have it. The place is located right in the heart of the Marietta Square, and it is always packed. The only downfall for me is the pricing on each candy, they can be very pricey. So if you have a sweet tooth and plan on buying anything, definitely be prepared to spend quite a few dollars

Kellie M.

Yelp
Wanna be taken back to your childhood? Yeah... me too! All you have to do is enter in to this magical world of candy and soda!! The colors that surround you will bring you back to days of your youth! They have EVERY candy possible in this wonderland! And the sodas! Don't get me started on how amazingly they're displayed! Huge props to whoever stocks this store! I'm telling you people... if you're in the Marietta Square area, or anywhere within 1000 miles of this store, you HAVE to see this amazing place! Your inner child will thank you!

Kirsten S.

Yelp
While visiting Atlanta I found this cute little town square with dozens of candy, bakeries, restaurants, ice cream parlors all in this one square block with a park right in the center. Rocket fizz is a candy/novelty toy shop that's just fun to look around and reminisce about child hood. One of their signature things is a Rocket Fizz branded taffy bar. These are some of the weirdest flavors I've ever seen including chicken & waffles, French toast, snores, Neapolitan, key lime pie and fruit punch (which was my personal fav). You can't buy it by the piece but fill a bag which has 2 sizes. If I lived near by I'd be popping in a lot but fortunately there a few states between me and Rocket Fizz.

Ginette O.

Yelp
2 trips in 4 days....hmmm. Gotta love school breaks! You can't go wrong with a shop full of every candy imaginable! Perfect location for foot traffic in Marietta Square. In the mood for banana taffy! Picky lil' girl not so picky in this store and in the mood for everything!

Marie B.

Yelp
TEN STAR Love this small business!!! one caveat, please take off that mask. Hospitality includes your smiling face. Any customer mask shaming small business owners can simply stay at home if they are too afraid.

Chris L.

Yelp
If less than one star was an option that is what I'd give. My children were verbally assaulted by the cashier today for their mode of dress and hair styles. I'm astonished that a corporation who sells nostalgic candies and craft sodas would have such aggressive and demeaning staff. It is disheartening to have this kind of experience.

Lou G.

Yelp
"This here is Orange Crush, son. It don't get better till you're legal." Allan Dare Pearce, Paris in April In a recent interview, Anthony Bordain said "I don't generally eat sweets or drink soda." He would not like it here. Rocket Fizz is a fun store carrying what must be hundreds of sodas and an enormous retro candy selection. The drinks are presented in coolers as well as stacked throughout the store. There are some classics as well as some of the newer craft sodas. The candy inventory covers the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's classics as well as some international products. Prices are a bit higher then other specialty stores, but having such a great selection ,as well as its location in the square gets them a pass. Rocket Fizz is organized and impressive, but both the store itself and the employees could be a bit more fun. After all, who wouldn't want to work in a sweets and soda store? Oh that's right, Anthony Bordain!

Nicki S.

Yelp
A fun little shop in Marietta Square! If you have a sweet tooth -- this is your dream come true. Candy bars, taffy, novelty candy. They have interesting soda pops in individual glass bottles. If you can think of a flavor, they've probably got a soda for it! I saw bacon, sweet corn, mustard sodas today while visiting! I was also super happy to see they have Green River soda here! As a Chicago native I highly recommend that locals give this a try! It's a favorite POP in the Chicago community that's only available in March for St Patrick's Day! You guys are lucky to have it year 'round. I had a great time here!

Ricky L.

Yelp
Omg. Every old school candy you can think of is here. The soda selection is bananas. You got come for a straight year to try them all. Trying not to spend my life's savings in here between the candy and comics. Half of this candy I had forgotten about

Jas T.

Yelp
This is one of my boyfriend's favorite place to get special sodas. He's a cola and cream soda enthusiast so their soda selection is a dream come true for him. The place is pretty big and gives off a nostalgic vibe with their decor and throwback candies. The display technique could be better since they have similar variety of candy spread throughout the place. It would be better if there were signs for certain categories to make navigating a little less hectic.

Delores W.

Yelp
Pretty cool candy store that has an array of different sodas and candies for everyone, no matter the age! There are so many different candies here a lot of them from different decade but also a lot of unique candy that I could find anywhere else. The staff was very kind and I liked that they were able to give me there personal opinion about what they liked as well. After making a lap around the store mesmerized by the candy I almost didn't notice the sodas until I got to the cooler where there were so many different and unique flavors. I enjoyed a few of their sarsaparillas and cream sodas and will definitely be back in the future.

Khristina B.

Yelp
I love the selection but it is not very organized in the sense they repeat the location of many items. As well it seems a tad over priced. Even on things like pocky.

Larry H.

Yelp
Walked in to buy candy with a friend. The two clerks didn't speak or acknowledge us. We are both black. An older white gentleman walked in a couple minutes later. The guy with long hair working spoke and ran up asking if he needed help. Left our candy and left.

Dawn P.

Yelp
What a great place, I think they have just about anything as far as old and new candy and sodas. They even had the Palmers Twin Bing in stock, which you can only really get up north. Thank you Rocket Fizz for having what I was looking for tonight.

Lee S.

Yelp
The cutest nostalgic store! They have any candy you've ever had in your life. Along with rare sodas from around the globe. The staff are nice and helpful.

Nathanael C.

Yelp
Walking in, this place is a child's dream and you're flooded with memories of all these drinks and delicious candies. The overall design of the place is very cool and there's just so much to look at. Their candy selection is far and wide and one could spend hours in their store looking around in awe. Customer service was friendly but did not seem to know what they were talking about. Great experience overall but a bit disorganized

Crystal J.

Yelp
Candy selection is great and pop they have is nothing but amazing. However o didn't get greeted as o walked on nor did I get asked if I needed help. I didn't but it's nice to be asked especially if I'm the only customer in the store. Now checkout was pleasant.

Dede S.

Yelp
AMAZING selection! The term "like a kid in a candy store" has never been more accurate! They have candies from other countries and candy from your childhood and adulthood. Candy you forgot about, along with all of your favorites! Can't forget the hundreds of different kinds of sodas!

Matt J.

Yelp
So my wife and I had some friends in town, and we were so excited to show them this store. Unfortunately we cut it a little close, and arrived the day before Labor Day about ten minutes before closing. Rather than allowing us in to show our friends the store and pick up a little candy. We were denied at the door. Customer service was not at its best. We are very saddened to be treated like this from a store that is usually so awesome and fun.

Lynx M.

Yelp
Excellent customer service, the store was packed on a Sunday afternoon. The bulk candy was kinda blah but you could fill a small bag $5.99 or a large bag $7.99 to the brim. That's better than the candy stores that charge by the weight. The offer a plethora of sodas for $2 roughly. Wacky store with all kinds of stuff check out. Hopefully my pictures some it up. Worth checking out for sure. A nice outting activity for the kids. I saw some old timers reminiscent of candies from their youth like licorice, taffy, and ish like that. A lot of them could only fancy the memory due to the taffy snatching out what teeth they had left or the peanut candies getting underneath their dentures. Lol being old rules :-) overall a nice store for all ages! You will leave satisfied with your experience. 4 out of 5 stars because the bulk candy is boring. I had to beg the brood to fill up a small bag. The candy store in Atlantic station it's no problems getting them to fill up a bag.

Larry G.

Yelp
Great selection of sodas and candy. I don't recommend you try the crazy flavors of soda like Ranch or bacon etc.. but the old fashion soda selection is great.

Bev R.

Yelp
Any candy you can imagine and then some. Candy from different countries plus some old favorites you don't normally see. Also a huge selection of crazy flavors and brands of soda plus nostalgic ones too. Fun stop with the kids be prepared to leave with candy.

Linda J.

Yelp
On Marietta Square...there is an amazing candy shop called Rocket Fizz. They sell amazing posters, bizarre soda bottles ...and candy beyond Willie Wonka's Wildest dream. It was a trip down memory lane and a few extra laughs.

Tom B.

Yelp
WOW! What a great place! They have everything here, literally everything that you can think of in candy, as well as some gags and signs, etc. Some pricey items but otherwise reasonable, especially the fill the whole bag for a flat cost. Great, helpful staff, as well. This place is a MUST VISIT!

Vincent P.

Yelp
Unfriendly and not very knowledgeable staff. Staff was too busy sweeping and labeling product to acknowledge us. Asked for a recommendation and they kept saying they never tried things. How do you work in a candy store and NOT sample the candy you sell? Definitely check the expiration dates on items before purchase. We noticed a shelf full of NY Seltzer were out of date. I love that a store like this is on the square but the next time my family spends $30 on candy, it will be someplace else.

Joseph J.

Yelp
Fun, huge store full of candy. There are a lot of great candies in here I haven't seen in years, and the prices are as you would expect from a candy place. I could find boxes for much cheaper at Wal Mart or a convenience store, but for the items that are hard to find they were much more reasonably priced. There is also a large selection of signs, posters, and strange varieties of sodas. Not anything I really needed/expected from this store, but added to the fun of visiting.

Sam F.

Yelp
Sad to say closed at 820? Wth, supposed to be open to 830 or 9?? Lost out on big purchase tonight...will get our candy elsewhere

Myra H.

Yelp
This place has a great selection of old school candy. I was able to find some hidden gems (candy)I haven't seen since my childhood.

Casey B.

Yelp
This place is great! It's the candy store of your dreams and just as much fun (maybe more so) for adults as it is for kids. Lot of fun candy options, lots of crazy sodas, funky posters, and the staff is great. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it's a little pricey.

Kenneth B.

Yelp
Great store. Friendly staff. Fun product at reasonable prices.

Haley D.

Yelp
The employees here are so incredibly sweet, and of course all the goodies are great too! I have such great experiences every time I come in
