Rocket Inn

Highly recommend this cute little hotel. It has been fully renovated with clean, comfortable rooms and an amazing staff. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing, and they were extremely accommodating to our specific trip needs. The room was well equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, deep small refrigerator, ample closet space, and a beautifully decorated bathroom featuring some local Native American–inspired decor along with their theme of the Rocket Inn. Pet-friendly and they even had a pet care kit in the room. Housekeeping available as needed. This will be our 3rd stay and the service as well as cleanliness has been the same each time.

We loved the Rocket Inn would definitely recommend the rooms are very clean. The employees were so friendly. They even walked us to our room. I loved the retro vibe. The blue doors was my favorite outside in the courtyard was beautiful plants palm trees. We will definitely be going back. it was quiet and easy to find.

My childhood included going to Elephant Butte every other summer. I always was attracted to the Rocket Inn simple/sweet location and I was always curious to see it. It was shut down for a long time then remodeled and reopened in recent years. I absolutely wanted a room there while going to Rivebend Hot Springs, which we got for us this Thanksgiving weekend. Love the room, the service, and location. We will stop by again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anybody. The rooms are newly renovated and are pleasantly decorated with "retro" touches. The staff is conscientious, polite, and helpful. The rates are very reasonable. Thank you again to the staff for making our visit of several days most enjoyable.

This is a really nice vintage motel in T or C. Very clean and people running it are very helpful. Not really anything negative to say except maybe my room had a slight smell of being smoked in at one time. But still a great place to stay and I would stay there again.

Clean and comfortable, well priced retro motel. Stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and stocked with adequate pats, pants, dishes and utensils. This would be my long-term reservation if I were staying multiple days and great for less nights.

I stayed here with the family over the July 4th holiday. The check in process was easy and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about points of interest and local history. The rooms were clean and they were attentive to requests.

Really nice, reasonable price, and a great use of space. All the comforts and lots of nostalgia. Centrally located. Quiet, great sleep.

Our stay at the Rocket Inn was disappointing. The motel is right next to a major thoroughfare that has considerable traffic including trucks. We had asked for a room further from the highway but was told all the rooms were quiet. We can't speak for the other rooms but ours had considerable traffic noise into the very late hours of the night. Even earplugs didn't help much.

This is an older building, but it's super cute, run by a very friendly lady my wife said was right out of the flower power era. The rooms are adorable, clean beyond reproach with a comfy bed and smoking hot shower, and they are pet friendly. It's a small hotel, but the prices were reasonable, and overall we had a very pleasant stay. I've dropped this hotel into my Yelp travel collection folder so I remember to stay here next time we're passing through.

The only reason we came through this town was to go to Riverbend Hot Springs. Unfortunately their hotel rooms were sold out so we looked for plan B. Rocket Inn popped up because they do a lot of marketing and the reviews were decent. The main part of this town called Truth or Consequences is the Hot Springs which are located mostly near the river, and the town centers around a one way loop near the river. This hotel is about half a mile above the loop But it's very easy to drive around this town. We arrived at 2 PM to inquire if we could check in early but the room was not ready so we had tacos up the street and went to the small museum museum to kill time. You can check in early for a $10 fee. At 3 PM sharp our room was ready and we were given a regular key for our room. There are no safes in the room so if you are concerned about theft take your valuables with you Because anybody could make a copy of your room key. The room itself was a little bit small especially the closet which had a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The room was too small to keep any of our luggage open on the floor And walk around it and definitely could not fit in the closet unless the Suitcase was closed and standing up. Their room would be suitable for people who don't have much luggage or a single person, but we managed. We tried to drink the coffee that was provided but it was horrible to be honest. Nowadays most people use a Keurig and not Folgers Drip coffee. Before checking out we got a text message To just leave the key in the room and not to bother the office which to me felt a little bit impersonal. What was also off putting was there was an envelope left on the table asking you to tip the housekeeper. While we always leave money for the maid it felt like micromanaging and guilt tripping. I can understand some people might not tip and need to be reminded but it didn't sit well with me. In general I just didn't have a very warm and fuzzy experience which I had expected from the marketing and being that it's called an Inn. I certainly could have afforded more expensive lodging but I thought it would have been cool to stay here based on the marketing and theme.

We stayed here on a recommendation from friends and it was the right choice. I admit to apprehension when we arrived and saw this small 1950s motel. But it was immaculate like right off Route 66. Tge friendly owners greeted us, gave us towels for the hot springs, ice for our chest and directions. Walked us to our room and showed it to us. The room was completely updated like yesterday snd I could find not one thing I would improve. Very comfy and tastefully decorated. A reviewer here was offended that an envelope was left out to tip housekeeping. I always tip housekeepers and here I found not find a spec of dirt or dust. Even outside. Shower is new and hot. We will recommend to others.

Very nicely renovated old time motel, with pleasant and tasteful finishes. A very convenient location, with easy access to ToC's downtown and hot spring locations. Excellent service and friendly staff. A great deal for a budget stay in ToC.

This is the cutest, loving , inn I've ever been too! And it's adorable and you can tell that the owners love what they have! Super comfy beds and very clean room( I'm an experienced housekeeper) so naturally inspect the rooms and everything was perfect! Amazing perfect about of towels! And the front desk employee was full of all the right information:) I really love this place! Do yourself a favor and choose this place! You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! This is a lovely place to stay. The owners and staff are so nice and helpful! Upon check-in, they gave us a map and showed us the layout of the town along with recommendations. They provided towels for us, so we would not have to pay to rent them down the road at Riverbend Hot Springs. When we left, we forgot our jackets in the closet and they mailed them to our home, so they arrived before we even did. Great service, caring people and super cute rooms! If you visit T or C - stay there!

Retro charmer. Micro, fridge & in room coffee service. Room with two very comfortable queen beds. Table with two comfy chairs. Pet friendly. Coffee on the front porch type of morning. Manager LAURIE so sweet. Showed us to our room, greeted us in the courtyard the next morning. Very informative about the area.

I would give them a much higher rate. This place is so clean and friendly. I can't wait to stay here again.

Quaintly updated classic southwest motel, in a funky little town. We stayed in #11, which has a semi-private seating area outside. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Desk clerk was courteous and helpful. Stay here, soak in the public or private tubs at the Riverbend Hot Springs, have dinner at El Faro, craft beer at Truth or Consequences Brewery - you'll enjoy your time here

For our first trip to T or C, we stayed at this cute inn. It was originally built in 1948, but has been nicely updated. The owner was really kind and friendly. We were there a little early, but they let us check in anyway which was extremely nice. We were able to park right in front of our room, which was great. I got to meet the owner's really friendly dogs too! We were given some great advice on places to see and eat, which helped a lot. The room was clean and big enough for our needs with a small fridge and microwave. We had a table and a nice TV as well. It was clean as well, and a great location for being close to things in town. They even let us borrow a hair dryer as well which was really cool. We had a little problem with the heater, but I think it may have been more misjudging how much heat we would need to stay comfortable with it being in the 30's at night. Breakfast included coffee (badly needed to start my mornings), pastries, and juice boxes. Good stuff and a nice surprise. For a nice location with friendly people, this is definitely the place to stay.

It doesn't get much better than this. Lovely, well maintained retro motel. The owner has really gone to great lengths to see that even in a small space, your needs can be met. The little refrigerator even had a separate freezer. Bed was comfy. Decor was cute. Very clean. Loved this place.

I absolutely love rock it in everyone that works there is so friendly and nice the rooms were so clean and when I sit in the courtyard I felt like I was home it was so relaxing thank you rock it in employees for making it so homey I would highly recommend rock it in to all my family and friends it is a must when you come to Truth or Consequences you must stay

Clean, quiet, nice double queen room. Mini frig, microwave, coffee maker w coffee. The woman behind the desk (owner??) Was very friendly and had suggestions for food and hot springs. Good location.

It's a GEM!! An eclectic decor that is inviting and provides you with exactly what you need and surprising touches of luxury such as the ironed bed linens, plenty of pillows, great individual AC units, a little seating area to enjoy the cooler summer night air, a dog kit that includes extra sheets to cover the bed and many other goodies for our pets. Did I mention that it is pristinely clean?!? The owner(s) are welcoming and helpful and I cannot wait to return in the very near future.

This very clean, comfortable and modern motel was a pleasant surprise on our road trip. The beds were comfortable and we were able to get more pillows without any problem (we had a room full of people with 4 people and two beds). The room had nice hard wood floors with clean throw rugs near the beds and we really liked the decor. Overall, the room was *very* clean and still felt homey and special. The wireless signal was great and there was a flat screen TV, small refrigerator and microwave. The coffee in the front office in the morning was good too!

This was a wonderful find. I've never stayed in a roadside motel so I was a little nervous. Val one of the owners checked us in and told us all about the area. She seemed super knowledgeable about it which was nice since we aren't from there. The rooms are pristine. Cleaner than some of the 5 star chains I've stayed in. Extremely comfortable and so charmingly done. They took this little old roadside motel and turned it into the cutest little hidden gem. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed staying here. Pet friendly and very clean. I really liked the laminate floors especially when bringing our dog inside. No fault of the Inn but i forgot how about the traffic noise you can hear from the room at these retro motels /inns. But traffic was light and after about 10pm on a friday night we didnt hear any traffic. We will be back.

When heading home to Dallas from a business trip in LA, I decided to take a slight detour to Truth or Consequences, NM to enjoy their famous natural hot springs/thermal baths. A google search pulled up the Rocket Inn, which is rated the best place to stay in town. It's easy to see why. I booked my reservation over the phone, and the owner was so sweet, and gave me very thorough information on the place. When I arrived I was impressed. It's an original vintage motel that retains it's vintage charm on the outside, but is modernized on the inside. The rooms are so clean, with soft, good quality sheets and a comfortable bed. There's a flat screen tv, the temperature control works well, wifi is great. This feels more like a home than a motel. There's even free breakfast in the morning. It's nice and quiet here, and the grounds are well maintained. Very nice, safe place to stay. I'm so glad I found this gem and will try to return again soon. Thanks guys!

What a perfect little motel in Truth or Consequences! This is the kind of place you picture when you think of a perfect road trip motel - quirky, CLEAN, small but quaint, with friendly proprietors who help you out. The opposite visual is a filthy roach motel in the desert with grimy rooms and some creepy dude with a shot gun manning the front desk. Free wifi, nice tv, microwave/fridge in the closet, and again friendly owners with some barky bark dogs - WOOF. The shower in our room was a bit tiny, but for $55, I was not expecting a double tub and stand up shower like the Ritz. My friend and I were traveling from ABQ to Mexico and stayed here for a hot minute - in the room, including sleeping, for just about 11 hours. We got in late one night, one of the owners waited for us, and even called a bar down the road when we asked where to get a drink. That is some friendly service. Make sure to visit the Riverbend Hot Springs down the road! I think they have some tie in special if you stay two nights.

Super friendly, comfy beds, clean, stylish. We stayed only one night but want to come back anad stay longer and explore T or C a bit more. They even privide a nice doggie kit if you have a four-legged companion.

$40.00 a night. just remodeled. Super nice people that run the hotel. They name each room. I have been traveling for years and have never been treated this nice. It is not super fancy but it is a great place to stay for a great price.

The outside of the motel is embellished with white Christmas lights on the trees, blue-ish spacey galaxy colors adorn the doorways leading to the rooms, and a sign that for some reason makes me feel like I'm about to wake up in a cheesy 80's sci-fi. The Rocket Inn is your perfect small town motel. Cheap, friendly, clean. Front desk is sooo genuinely nice! It irks me when you read awesome reviews about the friendliness of a hotel and then you are underwhelmed upon arrival. She checked us in fast, with a down to earth personable smile. Offered some information on local attractions, but we only had one day and had plans to spend that at Riverbend Hot Springs and of course, eating. Our room was small and simple but impeccably clean. Loud A/C, but man, were we grateful to have it! The nights were quiet and we slept well. Breakfast (or what was left of it for us late sleepers) consisted of boxed juices, coffee, and small packaged pastries. I think the interior of the rooms could use some paint other than stark white. The contrast was a bit much. Otherwise, love this place!

I would stay here again. The owner mailed me back my phone charger that I forgot in the room which I really appreciated.

Rocket was great! Charming spot, very clean, and the staff was very personal and easy going. They also had great recommendations on what was going on in town. I would definitely come back.

Wow, just wow! This is a quaint very updated motorlodge circa 1948ish. Our room was incredibly clean, the attention to detail here is over the top. The hosts are wonderful people too. The proverbial icing on the cake is the fabulous coffee in the hippie chic lobby. We will return here again and again. Oh, and they can hook up their guests with discount soaks at a local hot spring. Such a cool spot and so affordable! More Rocket Inn time please. ..

Stayed here for a night, and was very pleasantly surprised. Given the age of the place I was a little hesitant as some places tend to deteriorate... but what I found was a very well kept up (Better than many "new" places I've been) facility, very clean rooms with modern amenities (like a flat screen TV), minifrige, microwave etc, a decent continental breakfast, and excellent kind service from the owners. They actually care about their guests and want the stay to be enjoyable, which is hard to find thesedays. My wife left a bracelet in the room, and instead of it being stolen, they called me saying they found it. It was not expensive, and was not worth going back, so I said they could have it or toss it - but they said they would be happy to hold on it until I came back to T or C. I thought that was a nice addition to an overall great stay. If you're in T or C looking for reasonably priced place to stay - I recommend Rocket Inn. I'll be going back - and not for the bracelet. :) Oh, and wireless internet was good enough for me to hop my company VPN and get some work done. (Ugh, I know lol) Work and hotsprings don't mix, but it made the trip possible, so that was great as well.

Clean, inexpensive, very comfortable beds, pleasant owners, good showers, wifi works fine. Absolutely no complaints.

Wonderful little gem. Very clean and appealing. Great attention to details. Free wifi and LED TVs with connections to stream downloads. Owners are very friendly and helpful providing local recommendations. It's cute that the rooms at the Rocket Inn are named after Space programs. We stayed in the Apollo room. I'm thinking they will continue to expand on the space theme.

This was a great place to stay! Rooms are very clean and the owners are genuinely concerned that the guests enjoy their stay! If I'm ever in the area I would stay here again. Located close to downtown, shopping, restaurants, and mineral hot tubs.

Excellent stay. Renovated, clean, simple, cool. Really nice owners. Great bed.... Overall excellent value. I travel all over the world and stay in super high end places, yet many lack the simple things found at the rocket inn.

Great little place. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The kids appreciated that they had wireless internet. Val was extremely helpful in helping us find a place for a soak on Saturday night. I'd definitely stay here again!

I cannot recommend this little gem enough: the rooms each have their own unique decoration (owners encourage you to visit the available rooms, so you find one that appeals to you); bathrooms have been recently renovated, and turned into showers only, but very nice, with warm-feeling stone tiling, a nice double curtain, and spacious enough for two. Water pressure is excellent, but you will need to let it run a few minutes for it to reach your desired temperature.Towels were soft and thick. The bed was very comfortable, and the sheets were super soft. I stayed a couple of nights, and the bed was carefully made up for my second night there, towels were replaced and new shampoos and soaps were put in. The owners were very friendly, gave me lots of info on the area. And if you spend a couple of nights, you get a free one hour pass to one of the top spas. I will certainly be back. This kind of quality and attention to detail at this price are almost unknown.
