Rockfish

Lovely restaurant right by the water perfect after coming out of the aquarium. There was a deal on so kids eat free I opted for fish tacos which were nice…would have been nice with a tad more fish I think £19.99 warrants a bigger fish finger IMO. Didn’t realise but it is refillable chips so a chip fan can go crazy if they so desire….. it was mildly busy which is great little atmosphere yet food comes quickly served by a lovely and polite lady. Overall nice little lunch with the little man add on the staff, freebies, location for the price we paid it was great.

Loved this fish restaurant with a great location next to the aquarium in Plymouth. Service, very good and especially liked that the waitress talked us through all of the fresh fish options of the day. What a great choice they had! We indulged our selves with a sharing tapas selection from the main menu and from the daily menu. The spider crab cakes were delicious along with the calamari, the largest mussels I've had the pleasure of being presented with and finally the monkfish tale which was juicy and flavourful.

Great seafood at Rockfish, always very fresh and really well prepared. We had some lovely Leigh on Sea cockles and local mussels in a lovely light sauce, followed by some wonderful haddock and chips. Not the cheapest around, but definitely worth the extra money.

Ate at the takeaway part. Ordered at the hatch and collected when called. Order the haddock and chips summer special for £10. Added a homemade tartar sauce side too and 2 diet coke. The fish was absolutely beautiful, quite big, light batter and thick fish which just flaked and was very tasty. Great chips and the tartar sauce was amazing. Definitely recommend

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Amazing seafood experience at Rockfish! We had the sardines — fresh, perfectly grilled, and full of flavor. The unlimited chips were a fun bonus, and the tartar sauce is a must-try! For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding was rich and comforting. We also had a glass of their white wine (I believe it’s their own label) and it was absolutely lovely. Great service and a relaxed seaside vibe. Can’t wait to come back😍

Scenic Seafood Spot with a Summer Twist 🌊🐟 We returned to Rockfish this summer, drawn back by the unbeatable views and the £10 Summer Special featuring line-caught haddock & chips. Sadly, haddock was off the menu that day, but the team offered white fish & chips instead. We also ordered battered sausage & fish bites for the kids, plus cold lager pints to round it off. While the swap wasn’t what we've been looking forward to but the food was still tasty. The outdoor deck overlooks the ocean and with the National Marine Aquarium next door, Rockfish remains a great spot for casual seafood. Service was friendly.

The usual high quality seafood that one comes to expect from Rockfish. The location, views and restaurant, in the heart of the historic and vibrant Barbican district of Plyomouth is a perfect setting to enjoy fresh seafood.

A lovely dinner, with attentive and friendly staff. The food was excellent and the advice on what was available and the best additions was most appreciated.

crispity and flakey fish and endless fries. what more to say. they didn't have the fish me and the mr wanted but oh well. still extremely good. and the blood orange cocktail as well ahhhhhhh yum. a bit on the expensive side but oh well. lovely location right by the aquarium

After a mile walk around the harbor and past the aquarium, we arrived to Rockfish. Seated near the window as requested and waited a bit for a server to come see us. We ordered cider and calamari.... years later... we were served our ciders and toddler portioned calamari. The bit cost £17.50 with an additional discretionary charge (we were not informed of) £1 donation to the Aquarium. Our server was kind and polite. The bathrooms were very nice and clean.

Light, airy and full of life. On a dull wet rainy day a real delight to sit and eat with the family. Beautifully cooked fish dishes with a good selection on offer. Really accommodating to families and staff were friendly and efficient. The outdoor area looks to be a real asset for the sunnier days and the view out to the mariner is interesting and active. Literally a 2 minute walk from the Plymouth Aquarium and across to bridge to the Barbican.

Popped in for a cuppa in the takeaway after visiting the National Marine Aquarium. We ended up sitting in for something to eat and it rolled into a family birthday tea. The staff were really, really friendly and extremely helpful and took the antics of our 3year old completely in their stride. The food was very good. A really nice relaxed time-thank you Maria.

Disappointing. Had take away from here today came without salt and vinegar which is always a shame with fish and chips didn't realise until I got to the car as they were brought out from the kitchen fully wrapped. Not sure what the fish was possibly Basa, it was a bit slimy. Normally I'm fine with a cheaper fish but it's nice to be informed. Chips were pretty good. 2 adult and 2 kids fish and chips with ketchup and tarter sauce £23.

Food was mediocre. I ordered a Singapore Chilli Crab Roll expecting it to be hot, but it was cold. The quality of the crab was bad. My mother ordered the same thing and they brought her a South Devon Crab Roll instead. Service was slow and the only way to sit out side is to order "take away" (or take out).
