We stayed in one of the tent houses for one night our first time. It was a wonderful experience, nestled up in the trees overlooking the water. We enjoyed it so much we decided to come back. This time we stayed in a cabin. It looked newly renovated and modern. As soon as we stepped out of the car, we were hit with the smell of raw sewage. It wasn't overwhelmingly strong. Yet we hurried ourselves to the cabin. Unfortunately, the smell was also inside and really bad in the washroom. We had planned to spend our two night stay relaxing in the cabin this time but with the odour, we couldn't stand it for more than an hour. It was a literal nightmare sleeping there. The bed and pillows were amazing and it would have been a restful night's sleep if it weren't for the permeating odour. They have us a 20% discount but after spending over 700$ to stay there, I'm not sure it was worth it.

The Rockwater is a nice resort, charming location with beautiful views. The food was excellent and restaurant staff prompt and friendly. Thank-you Hanna for your hospitality and charming service and making our dinner a memorable one. Booking a massage at the spa was another great way to start the day. We highly recommend booking a treatment with Kan. Her kind and gentle courteousness and overall professionalism was just the touch we needed to capture our stay. Well worth the visit. Thank-you Rockwater!

Last minute needed a hotel and found secret rock, so happy to stumble on this resort. Called to book and was meet with great customer service and easy booking. Stayed in a deluxe cabin and found a nicely updated exterior and fresh furniture inside, is buggy at night which is to be expected when staying in nature. Was able to us the pool and kayaks after check out which was lovely. Went for a nice stroll after sunset to check out the boardwalk which was fully light with beautiful string lights. Had a great ocean front breakfast at the restaurant which also had amazing friendly service. Will definitely come back and stay longer

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend for our anniversary and honestly, we left feeling disappointed and a bit ripped off. Yes the view is beautiful (no denying that) but for nearly $600 a night that’s pretty much all we got. The room was outdated and poorly maintained… Closet doors barely worked, the fridge had to be slammed shut to stay closed and there were bugs all over the room. It felt more like a tired motel than a “luxury” getaway. What really pushed it over the edge was the restaurant situation. We were told at check-in that dinner reservations could be made and the restaurant opens at 5pm. We showed up at 5 on the dot only to be told there were no tables left for two for the entire night because of a wedding. No heads-up, no attempt to squeeze us in, just a casual “you’ll have to drive somewhere else.” For a place that charges premium prices you'd think they’d be able to manage their bookings better or at least warn guests in advance. We felt like an afterthought... as if our anniversary didn’t matter because we weren’t part of the big event. At this point we honestly would’ve been better off just camping nearby. Same view, way less money and probably fewer bugs.

Rockwater Resort was the stay I was most excited about during our Sunshine Coast trip — and it exceeded all expectations. We booked one of the premium tents perched on the cliffside, offering an unbeatable view of the ocean and sunset. The entire property is beautifully maintained, with charming wooden walkways that wind through the forest and lead to each tent. It felt like a peaceful escape into nature without sacrificing comfort. The tent itself was much cozier and cleaner than I expected. To my surprise, it even included a massage hot tub — a luxurious touch. I was initially worried about the tent getting too hot at night or being full of mosquitoes, but neither turned out to be an issue. A cool night breeze kept it comfortable, and as long as you keep the door zipped, bugs weren’t a problem. The bed was also incredibly comfy and spotless. The staff were warm, friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate us. They even offered complimentary kayaking the next day after we checked out, which was a lovely bonus. The views from every corner of the resort are absolutely breathtaking. Lying in bed with my partner, watching the sun set over the water, is a moment I’ll always remember. Highly recommend this resort for a romantic getaway or peaceful retreat — I’d come back again and again!

Overall we had a lovely getaway at the Rockwater Resort. We stayed in cabin #6. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. We loved using the kayaks. Our dinner was absolutely delicious and service was very good. However, our breakfast was subpar as the parfait described "fresh fruit" but it did have a copious amount of wet melons (which I recognize to be Sysco pre-cut fruit medley which comes from a bucket) underneath the yoghurt. the eggs benny was alright. The main criticism I have is what I can only assume was a small sewage treatment facility on the property only feet away from out cabin. This made an almost constant vacuum-like noise and gave us a lovely waft of sewage every time we left or entered our cabin. I understand things like this are inevitable with the property layout but it did take away from the ambiance.

Google
Rockwater Secret Cove is a truly special place. The combination of natural beauty and exceptional hospitality made our stay unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff and management team made us feel welcome, cared for, and completely at ease. The oceanfront setting is peaceful and immersive. We loved waking up to the sound of the water and the soft light coming through the trees. The cabins are thoughtfully designed and blend beautifully into the surrounding landscape. We also had a wonderful dining experience and really appreciated the quiet atmosphere throughout the property. This is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. We’re already looking forward to our next visit

Google
The resort is tucked away in a wonderful cove. Our friends stayed in a tent and we stayed in the lodge. Next time we go back I want to be in a tent for sure. The boardwalk was super cool. The only thing missing is a hot tub. They definitely need a hot tub. The room was clean, beds and pillows super comfy. And service was amazing. I would put the shelf in the shower (we were in room 46) over top of the bench because it's in the way when it's under the shower head.

Yelp
We were excited for our 2-night stay at Rockwater Secret Cove Resort, but our experience was extremely disappointing. The room was in shocking condition--dirty walls, chewed-up baseboards, old banged up furniture, and an extremely uncomfortable couch that looked like it belonged in a dorm room. The bathroom was disgusting with crumbling grout, lifting tiles, a cracked ceiling, and filthy trim. One bedroom had parts of wall trim and baseboards missing and the walls were extremely dirty. I expressed my concerns with the front desk staff but was told there was nothing they could do as everything was fully booked, they did eventually say they could move us to a new room for our second night but by then, we all just wanted to leave and find somewhere else. The pool was green and you couldn't see the bottom, and although staff assured us it was safe, I wouldn't risk swimming in it. Additionally, the stairs to the pool had a sharp, exposed metal edge, posing a safety hazard. The final straw was when I saw a silverfish in the shower. We moved all of our bags up off the floor and hoped that nothing had gotten into our suitcases. I requested a refund for the second night at the front desk, explaining that the room was unfit to stay in. The desk clerk said he would consult the manager, but the manager refused to provide a refund or any compensation. This stay was extremely disappointing, especially given our high expectations for this getaway.expressed

Yelp
If you are 'glamping' in the beautiful seaside tents, it's a fun adventure to wander up the boardwalk for a nice dinner (although the room service is quite exceptional)! An instant favourite was the scallops which was rich and creamy without being overly heavy. The atmosphere is casual but classy, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The menu is well curated, from classic dishes like rack of lamb to more creative options like seared scallops, fish, mussels. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the flavors are expertly balanced.

Yelp
We decided to spend our Anniversary here at the Rockwater Secret Cove Resort from Washington. Years ago we stayed here and stayed in a historic cabin. This time we reserved a water side tent. We could not have been happier. This thing is an actual tent with a metal frame. It's one main space with a small bump out for the water closet. There's a shower/sink area with a jetted soaking tub on the other side. Don't get any illusions about sound insulation or sound privacy. These things are lightly constructed and move in the wind which was very cool because a wind storm rolled in. The sea was rolling and all we could here was wind and breakers hitting the rocks below us. There's a gas fireplace inside and the double doors lead out onto the deck for the unobstructed view. We had no problems with the front desk or housekeeping. Just know the way you get to the tents is on a long raised boardwalk along the cliff side. If you get a tent with a high number it's a pretty good hump. There are also copious amounts of stairways leading to the tents from the walkway. They have some luggage carts to use and they pick them up after you drag your stuff to your tent. We enjoyed every minute and barely left our tent. It was pretty quiet and restful. The restaurant/bar is in the main building and is considered high end. The prices certainly are but I did not see that in the food per se. I had seafood linguine. It had scallops (scallop bits actually) shrimp, Krab, and a hint of salmon. First off when you put shrimp in a creamy pasta dish the tails need to be removed. The shrimp in my dish had tails. I took time to remove them which I shouldn't have had to do. The salmon was a few flaky chunks about the size of my thumbnail. The flavor was okay but I found the sauce a bit runny and the linguine was not cooked long enough for me. I did not complain though. My Bride had a lamb dish with vegetables and whipped potatoes. We are coming back to stay here but will most likely not patronize the restaurant. I thought it was overpriced even at the US to Canada exchange rate. This takes nothing away from the resort. It's amazing here and we shall return.

Yelp
We had the most amazing, romantic, blissfully peaceful get away here at Rock water secret cove. The tent house we stayed in far surpassed any expectations of glamping. We were spoiled by the attentive, kind and courteous staff always willing to go above and beyond for our needs. The sunsets and mountain views were gorgeous. The kayak we rented was high quality. The food was delicious fine dining.

Yelp
A wonderful place to get away. The calming water, the lush forest, and stars above were mjnd-cleansing. The tent suites are incredibly romantic and feel like something from a Hollywood movie. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to provide the best experience. They were the best. This is a place that creates memories that will last forever.

Yelp
I created a Yelp Account so I could leave this review. Let's start with the few Pros: Rockwater Secret Cove has beautiful oceans views that are hard to beat. The Waterview Tent House Suites are quaint, romantic, and are quite spacious. The kayaking is wonderful and not too far away is a whole system of inlets to explore. The Spa experience is quite lovely and in the background you hear the crashing of the waves. One of the mornings i was sipping my coffee and watched a mother deer and two baby fawns slowly amble on by! At first look, this resort seems like paradise, but the cracks soon start to show: 1) The Resort is Not Being Maintained: many tents are missing the straps needed to keep the window flaps up, the buildings/boardwalk/patios are in dire need of a paint job, every plant placed here for decoration is dead. I'm paying $550 per night for the room, I should notice nothing wrong. 2) No Recourse for Noisy Neighbours: we are staying in tents that inevitably block out "0" noise from outside. Naturally, there will always be the potential for inconsiderate/loud neighbours - my wife and I had neighbours playing loud music until 1:00 AM. The front desk closes at 8:00 PM. There is nobody to call in a noise complaint to. 3) The Restaurant is Outrageously Overpriced: the quality of food is alright, but make no mistake, it's not fine dining. This resort is extremely understaffed (potentially because of Covid-19 so I'll go easy on this point) and the overworked server is doing their best but cannot give you the attention that would justify a $120+ meal for two people. They need to severely reduce prices. 4) Hit or Miss Housekeeping: this is more of an irritation, but housekeeping doesn't show up until 3:00 -5:30 PM, if at all. This is a relaxation resort where it's very likely that customers will be lounging around in the afternoon. Housekeeping needs to come in the morning when guests are out on small island adventures/eating breakfast. The overall impression is that this resort was truly an experience 10-15 years ago. But clearly they have new management that is trying to minimize costs wherever possible. I do not recommend anybody stay here, either find another resort or save some of your money and stay in one of the quaint hotels on this island. You've been warned.

Yelp
We came here the week after we got married for a mini honeymoon. The reviews said it was a luxe, romantic getaway. Our experience was really disappointing. We stayed in one of the pet friendly cabins, which was $250/night. Our experience was more like a $79/night motel. The cabin was a tiny, dated room. The bed sucked--it creaked and was so soft that we ended up smushed together in the middle. The shower was a small cheap shower stall. The paint was nicked in many places, the furniture was scuffed and marked, the lamp was cracked. One of the windows didn't have a screen and we got a lot of mosquito bites. It didn't look like the gorgeous photos from the website. We had planned on staying 3 nights, but only stayed 1. The manager was understanding when we said we wanted to cancel the rest of our stay and not pay for it. He agreed that the photos were not representative of what was on the website and that the cabins needed to be renovated. He gave us a voucher for free breakfast, which was a nice offer.

Yelp
This review is for the view . Service and food was ok. Had to remind server to light candle Turn up the music ..... seems romance not a priority for them. Very obliging and friendly for sure. I was proposed to by my Love and said Yes ! He EVEN took a knee.

Yelp
The view and location is absolutely amazing. No doubt about that. The customer service on the other hand is quite terrible. They are burnt out, understaffed and because of this mistakes happen, phone calls aren't answered and issues build up. Everytime I went to the check in area there were guests arguing with staff. Overall I would say go if you are ok with mediocre service. My partner and I made jokes about what will be wrong with our food today. The masseuse rishi is amazing and kind. But I wouldn't go here again until there is new management.

Yelp
5 stars - but to be clear, this is doing Rockwater on the cheap. For those of us who are mere mortals. If I had the clams, I would definitely book a tent cabin overlooking the water. They look amazing. However, that isn't in my current budget so here's what I recommend: If you are in the area, visit this resort. Stop at the sign that is a phenomenally unique rock design and take some stylish pics. Next, climb the stairs around front and gaze at the pool-side scenery that is magnificent. Order a local wine and the foie gras with preserved figs. Laugh, discuss life and marvel at the privilege of savouring good food and amazing sights with a loved one. Then, walk through the dining room and bar to the gift shop (washrooms conveniently located there) and come outside to the forest walk-way that meanders along the tent cabins. Pause to enjoy the many different shapes and colors of Arbutus trees. Look down at lush carpets of moss. Raise your eyes to see people water-skiing out in the pristine cove. Inhale the fresh forest scent and hike back up to your parked car, planning a trip to Basted Baker for breakfast the next morning.

Yelp
5 starts across the board for this place! when they say Beautiful British Columbia...they must have been referring to this place. i was totally blown away by this hidden gem in half moon bay! thank you to my loving wife of 17yrs for taking me here for our wedding anniversary! we stayed at one of the tents with an obstructed view of the ocean, mountains, and the blue west coast sky! everything was perfect and i will let the pictures do the talking...lol. there was a minor issue during our stay, but the manager Levy , just went above and beyond to make it better. cheers to you sir! on to the food, dinner was at the on sight restaurant...the dishes here are sustainable and everything on plate is edible. they even make their own bread. we both ordered the fish dishes to really sample the west coast flavour...1. artic char and 2. smoked steelhead. both dishes were right on the money. fishes were cooked perfectly with a crispy skin. the sauces made the dish even better. dish was not dry at all, vegs were fresh and hot, and the presentation was like a painting depicting the elegant flora of the west coast! simple amazing! bfast was simple, ordered the eggs benny with ham and carmelized onions and the standard bacon, toast, and eggs. everything was good. simple and delisj. what gave it the wow factor was where we had it....right outside our balcony overlooking the view. ( again, i will let the picts do the talking) i left feeling refreshed and re-energized for the upcoming week. only 40 mins ferry from horseshoe bay and another 40 mins to the resort. truly an amazing west coast experience! best place on earth right here in my own backyard! cheers and will visit again soon!!

Yelp
This place is far from its glorious days. Look and feels like a take over by an offshore group looking to get ever last penny out of this glorious place without investing a penny. The place is run down and in disrepair. Garbage all over the grounds, the grounds are also in disrepair. Looks like a run down motel. If someone can not be bothered to put a good coat of paint on something you know there is a problem. We had booked one of the cabins as a couple get away over a long weekend We arrived at 2pm and asked the counter agent about the possibility of an early check in, without checking or an hesitation the response was "our checkin is at 4pm". We said no problem if there was a chance of getting in early it would be greatly appreciated, the response, "our check in is 4pm"! We ok no problem we go for a walk on the site , and we did. We were told we would be in cabin 7, we walked around and began to come to some realization, this place is not what we stayed in 29 years ago, no one is working on the rooms no Personel nor service carts anywhere on the property. We walked 39 minutes and went and asked the question, are they sure the room wasn't ready, the same reply, "check in us at 4", so now The frustration has doubled, first no early checkin, secondly staff is not being honest, asked for manager same story. No regard for customer service or satisfaction. Asked for a refund and went to stay at BlackEddy. 1/4 of the price, no Attitude and amazing view. Don't waste your time find a different place. It's not what it used to be!

Yelp
Upon arriving to the "famous" rock water resort, I was instantly unimpressed with the appearance of the resort. We had to wait 45 mins to check into our room. Check Out is at 11 check in is at 4... The resort itself is VERY OUTDATED, the pool area underwhelming, the staff for the most part rude, the rooms small stuffy with NO air-conditioning. The icing on the cake.. The restaurant was the MOST disappointing part. 2 day old bread.. Rancid butter.. Waited over an hour for our entrees... My duck was very overdone, sandy chanterelle mushrooms and underdone disgusting potatoes! I never complain but this was just unacceptable. As a member of the wedding industry I would NOT recommend this venue for weddings, honeymoons or mini vacation it's a HUGE disappointment.

Yelp
For my one year anniversary, I wanted to treat my boyfriend and I to a romantic stay at a tenthouse suite at Rockwater Secret Cove Resort. Unfortunately, we were disappointed immediately upon arrival and throughout the rest of our stay. I even reached out to discuss the issues with the Rockwater team, yet I was completely ignored. The lack of response shows you truly don't care about your guests or your reputation, hence why I'm writing this complaint. Upon checking in, we noticed the reception staff were not wearing masks. There was no physical distancing between unmasked employees. We are currently in the middle of a pandemic with covid cases in our province climbing at an all time high. New regulations were just released yesterday, ordering no social interactions of people who do not reside in the same household. I witnessed may staff in close proximity with each other but no masks. Witnessing your unmasked staff and lack of physical distancing during this time is disgraceful. Given that Rockwater is in the service industry, I find this incredibly disappointing. Personally, I work in healthcare. I have worked through the peak of the covid outbreak in the hospital, trying tirelessly to minimize rates of transmission. Witnessing a no-masked staff, and to top it off, no sanitizing of the POS machine, I feel absolutely defeated with all the work myself and coworkers have done to minimize transmission of Covid-19. When checking into our room, we walked in and stumbled upon a used soap bar beside our bathtub. Was the tub even cleaned if this was missed in clear sight beside the bath? Strict cleaning policies have obviously not been maintained. I booked this resort reservation a month in advance. At the same time, I booked reservations for dinner for both nights we were staying. Upon arrival, they had no reservation for the first night for our anniversary dinner. It felt as though you had to squeeze us in to find a dinner slot for us. Yet, the restaurant was not busy during our stay. As we were sipping our wine to start the evening, we were advised that if we wanted to order food, that the kitchen was taking last call for 830pm. It was 820pm!! It seemed as though it was a struggle for you to fit us in at 745, after our anniversary dinner reservation was forgotten! When we ordered the bottle of wine, the server didn't offer to let us taste it first. Then we ordered desert because it was our anniversary, which we normally wouldn't order, and there was no recognition of a celebratory dinner. No candle. No congratulations. No nothing. Nothing except an unprofessional employee speaking loudly on his cell phone at the back of the dining room, in his track pants and sweat shirt. To call yourself a luxury resort, I would suggest offering your guests something other than Presidents Choice bottled water and Costco coffee. And the IKEA blankets and coffee mugs...I had much higher expectations. Besides the views at the resort, there was nothing luxurious about our experience. We had a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn't recommend Rockwater Secret Cove Resort to anyone looking for a romantic or luxurious experience.

Yelp
Lovely location 30 minutes from Sechelt. Nice ambiance in the dining room. Limited dinner menu but I appreciate that as you know it will be fresh . Great selection of wines and drinks. Ordered Seafood chowder and Pan Seared Salmon. Seafood Chowder was fantastic. The only thing I would do next time is to hold the mussels as I'm not a fan but 5 stars for the Chowder . Pan fried Salmon great. No carbs and substituted beautiful vegetables . I never eat fish skin but this one I had to . It was crisp and delicious. Now finishing off with Creme Brûlée and Americanos . Hubby had calamari and strip loin and said was delicious. Cannot wait to come for lunch and have that chowder again ! Happy to find another good restaurant in the coast ! .

Yelp
The walls are plastered with editorial kudos. It's "glamping," it's luxury, it's breathtaking, this is a destination wedding resort. The accolades go on and on. But as a paying guest in one of the self-contained, one bedroom oceanside cottages (#7 to be exact), I can't really say I was impressed by anything other than the view. And for the view, I'll give a generous three stars. That's the short version. Continue reading if you're thinking of investing anywhere from $99-400/night (The $$ depends on the season and what type of accommodation you choose: cottage, a tent suite or a room in the main building). Rockwater is toted as a romantic getaway. And the view screams romance. The oceanfront cottages' walls are so thin that the waves sound like they are crashing into your room. Beautiful. Not so beautiful: being able to hear everything else (cars, voices, wedding vows) -Inside the suite, I couldn't help wondering - who in the world designed this room? First, our cottage was not a "one bedroom," like it said on the website, it's a hotel room. The windows face away from the full view, and take up less than 1/2 of the wall facing the ocean. The floor is freezing. The TV isn't mounted, it takes up one of the few counter spots. There's no table. There's no bathroom space. The walls between the bathroom and the room are extremely thin - now that's romantic. The closet--an afterthought, it doesn't even fit the folding luggage holder. The bed is all kinds of uncomfortable. All weekend long, as we rearranged the room, we wondered: 1) Why are there two chairs instead of a sofa? Does Rockwater not condone cuddling? 2) What is this huge set of drawers doing in here? Who brings their entire wardrobe here? -The dining is pretty pricy for what it is (fancy hotel pricing, average food) and there's not much nearby -- it's 15-20 minutes to Sechelt. Steer clear of appetizers like the ravioli, it's $12 for 2 small bites. Better bang for your buck are things like the cornish game hens, which was good! Breakfast: good. The hashbrowns are amazing. The toast is delish. The pork sausage spot on. Do you want to spend every meal here? No, you don't. And do you want to spend $17 for a boxed lunch consisting of a sandwich and chips? I sure didn't. -Bring your fivers for the array of surcharges, like $5 for room service (plus automatic 15% gratuity). And be ready for some "interesting" math. There is a package that includes breakfast at $10 additional a person. Sounds like a deal until you see it costs an extra $5 for more than 1/2 of the items on the breakfast menu. I know I'm nickeling and diming here, but shouldn't someone? Blooper reel: -The wedding table that was left out in the wind and rain for two days, it's white linen flapping, flailing and finally limping lifelessly like a flag surrendering. -Watching vows being exchanged just outside our room. Such a personal experience to have strangers watching in their pjs. I wish I had brought popcorn. -The guy delivering our room service didn't have a clue where he could put our dinner (no table) I wonder if he thought this was a stupid design too. Here's an idea: put a table in the room. Or send room service to cottages with a folding table. -The couple who we overheard complaining about their tent suite and how there was nowhere to sit. They thought the grass was greener in the cottages, while we had thought the grass was greener in the tents. Turns out, the grass is greener somewhere far away from Rockwater.

Yelp
We were very disappointed with Rockwater Secret Cove Resort. We stayed in the main hotel and it was run down and not very clean. People working at the resort were friendly and helpful and responsive to requests. We were not informed ahead of time that neither the pool nor the hot tub were working (pool is seasonal apparently.) Beds were comfortable but on arrival we discovered one of the 'clean' glasses in the bathroom that had been nicely displayed with a clean washcloth in it, actually had a great deal of some one else's toothpaste in the bottom of it. The room itself just needed a very thorough clean. The floors, especially, were quite dirty. This part of BC is absolutely gorgeous but Rockwater is NOT the place to spend your money until the management (or owner) starts caring about it again. We will certainly not return.

Yelp
Avoid! Terribly Managed Resort. My wife and I were celebrating our 16th Anniversary and wanted to stay local since we were booking last minute. Our stay was anything but peaceful, relaxing or romantic. We booked within a week and a half of our stay, picking an Oceanview Yurt @ ~$600/night checking in Friday night and checking out Sunday. We only found out after we got there that they actually had a wedding booked that weekend on Saturday and that their restaurant would be closed. Because the resort is situated in a cove, most of the yurts face inwards towards where the wedding party was being held and since the yurts have walls made of canvas, there was no escaping the loud music that was blasting all night. We could also hear every word that was spoken over the loudspeakers. Despite the music and party winding down shortly after 11pm, the noise from the wedding guests dispersing through the resort afterwards meant there was peace and quiet until about 1am! I'm not blaming the wedding party since they rightfully booked the resort. We were told that normally the resort requires a buyout for any event for obvious reasons but for some reason not this one; the wedding was booked over a year in advance so there was no reason the resort couldn't have given warning or avoided booking other guests at the same time. There were other couples complaining the morning after. The worse part is that there is no one in management we could speak to who had the authority to offer the refund we had asked for since our experience was far from what they advertised on their website. Email responses from the manager and controller of the resort stated they couldn't authorize a refund for fear of losing their jobs. A week after our stay, we haven't been able to speak to anyone in management. The only good part of our stay was the massage we had down by the waterfront. The resort contracts spa services so if that's what you're looking for, just look for spa services in Sechelt or Pender Harbour. Ultimately we've had to pursue this through our credit card company. A sad experience for such a beautiful spot. Don't stay in their lodge either... it's still a dump. The yurts are actually nice and cozy but sadly the service and attention to detail just don't match what they charge. Other issues to be aware of: Front desk closes at 11pm. If you plan on arriving and having dinner in Gibsons or Sechelt first like we did, the resort called us around 10pm staying they would close in an hour. There was no indication during booking or in the confirmation email about this. Thankfully we made it there by 10:30pm. No offer to help with bags on check-in let alone any kind of warm welcome. Just "here are your keys and resort of the map... enjoy your stay." Not exactly the welcome of a "world class destination" claimed on their website.

Yelp
My fiancee and I came to Rockwater Resort recently to scope the place out as a wedding venue for 2018. My girl was literally in tears with the beauty of this hidden getaway - it was absolutely stunning! This charming location is split up into three sections: the lodge, which houses the restaurant, the reception and a number of suites, the surprisingly modern cabins to the right and of course, the luxurious and tear-inducing tenthouses down a boardwalk on the left. We had the pleasure of getting a tour of each of the accommodations and I was really taken aback at how contemporary the design is for such a secluded location. We have looked at a LOT of wedding venues with cabins, and no other place came close to this quaint little gem nestled away in the woods of Sunshine Coast. The evening of our stay, we ate dinner at the restaurant and were treated to a surprisingly upscale menu selection that did not disappoint. My favourite was a toss up on the vegetarian risotto or the foie gras that was served on a pancake with maple syrup and berries. Seriously, how Canadian is that? The dining area has a fireplace and a wonderful view of the outside pool and the bay, and it has a nice ambiance and a very pleasant staff. Definitely one of the better meals I've had over the past year. We booked pretty last minute on a long weekend, but luckily the lovely Krista at the front desk found us a spot for one night in the lodge - as it turns out we were the first to rent this newly-renovated suite too. Don't mind if I do! Like the rest of the accommodations we saw, this lodge suite was shockingly modern with a great view and even had a little balcony too. The bed was SO comfortable, we had a large flat screen TV, a fridge and coffee machine with free water and coffee respectively, and the bathroom was as luxurious as can be with seemingly limitless hot water. We were told some of the lodge rooms are a bit more rustic (though honestly, I've seen pictures and they still look very decent) but that by the time we would be getting married, most if not all of the suites will have been updated by then. As for the wedding aspect of the venue, the vista is just breathtaking and I cannot imagine myself saying my vows to my future wife anywhere else. I do recommend booking out the entire venue for at least one night as it sounds like the intimacy can be ruined if you have strangers walking around during your ceremony. Plus you can party later when the whole place is yours! They supply tents if you wish to do your event outside and they also have a pretty awesome alternative which is a large hall right beside the restaurant with a huge patio. There are loads of options to choose from to help customize your wedding experience and Yvonne, the on-site wedding coordinator, has been great to work with. I've seen some bridezillas complain about this place on other Yelp reviews and boy are they going to be disappointed when they look anywhere else. Don't listen to the haters - Rockwater is uniquely beautiful and perfectly West Coast. I cannot wait to get married here next year! WOOOOOO!!!

Yelp
Ivan and Rhian made our wedding go off perfectly. The tent suites (63) had an amazing view. While our room was being prepared we had a massage in the tents overlooking the ocean ( careful the mosquitoes get bad though nothing like up north) the ladies tucked us into robes and walked us down to the tent after a warm shower then when we were mush we unloaded our stuff and headed to the tent room. It was beautiful. Large king sized bed with lots of pillows. Heated floors, gas fireplace, huge jacuzzi tub and large stand up shower big enough for two. The large French doors opened to the private deck and we sipped drinks while lounged on the chairs the night before our wedding. We slept in and drove to town for breakfast and while I got my hair and makeup done my husband did the last minute arrangements with Rhian for our ceremony location. Rhian claimed she was tight with Mother Nature and that woman was not lying. It stopped raining about an hour before our ceremony and the sun came out for our photos. It was perfect. They set up a table for our few guests (we "eloped") and supplied chairs for those attending the ceremony. My new father in law struggles with mobility and they let us drive right down to pick him up from the ceremony and bring him to the main lodge. We decorated the table for the dinner and our waiter was fairly attentive (though I kept missing him for another drink). The steak was quite good and the guests had no complaints only compliments on their meal. After we finished our cheesecake (no wedding cake for us) we took some night shots and admired the view as we wandered back to the tent to find our room freshly made up and a heart with our initials in rose petals on the bed. We plan on going here for our anniversary next year. I really hope the owners of rockwater know how wonderful their staff is. The rooms were lovely and the beds comfy but the staff was amazing.

Yelp
I'm really torn about this review (I wish there was a 3.5 option). The tent suites were amazing! The ultimate glamping experience, you have your own private bathroom and even a full scaled Jacuzzi! Views were spectacular and I love the heated floors and comfortable bed. The reason I couldn't give four stars was the service and the food. The resort is making huge strides in setting itself up to compete with luxury resorts world wide, but in order to succeed at that, you need more than a beautiful room. Food was very overpriced and honestly, barely edible. We also had a couple of other service issues. One example, I mentioned in my reservation that it was our one year wedding anniversary. Now I know I can't expect flowers and champagne for that but when we checked it, they said they only had as down for one person! I'll settle for at least letting my husband stay with me :) To learn more about my experience and see more photos, check out my full review on my website: http://www.tripimize.com/2015/05/09/rockwater-secret-cove-resort-british-columbia/

Yelp
We stayed in a tent house which has very beautiful views. It is a unique experience though not quite what we were expecting. Since it was December I should've been prepared for the cold, however it was way colder than I expected it to be. Even with the heat and heaters full on it was still extremely cold. The bedsheets and towels were extremely cold to the touch! There was a lack of privacy, as we could here our neighbors. I think there are one or two tent houses that are a bit more secluded they were already booked. The spa is just a small cabin on the premises that is used for massages and a few other services. The views were very beautiful and the tents are an interesting experience.

Yelp
I don't review much on Yelp but do frequent it so when I get either especially fantastic service or especially sub-par service I will try to note it here. Unfortunately today at rockwater I had the latter. My girlfriend and I are taking a week of vacation and decided to relax on the Sunshine Coast. I wanted to treat her to a massage so we booked a couples "bliss" massage for this afternoon after visiting the resort yesterday to check availability. We aren't staying there so we had to boat into the resort and when we showed up today there was a huge barge taking up all of the dock space so we had to raft up which was no biggie. The barge was doing some work on the dock and had a crane working with chains and small boats and a crew of 3-4. We went to check in and were led to our oceanfront tent where the couples massage took place. Beautiful view and peaceful place. Only issue was the barge and constitution crew were less than 50m away and for the next hour all we could here was guys talking, chains crashing down and boats moving around. I could tell our masseuses noticed as they made a few remarks but not much they could do. As soon as we'd get 30 seconds to start relaxing we would be interrupted by some super loud noise from the construction crew. As luck would have it the crew finished work at the same time as our massages. I went up to reception to pay and let them know the massage itself was fine but the blissful aspect was anything but. I voiced my displeasure to the 2 staff working the desk and said it would have been nice to know that this noise would be happening if they in fact knew when the crew would be coming in. I got pretty much a blank face stare and "so, that'll be $280 please". Customer service 101. Anyways, I'm sure the massage would be nice on most days but our relaxation time on holidays was ruined and the staff were anything but apologetic, let alone seeing if there was anything they could do rectify it. Won't be going back there anytime soon.

Yelp
Just got back home from a pretty bad night at Rockwater. We arrived at around 4pm to the hotel to check in. The appearance was not very fresh or bright. Pool water was not clear, it was misty. The rooms were dirty and old, I even found specs of dried blood on the bed sheet. The bathroom was old and shower drain was blocked so we couldn't take a shower without flooding the tub. TV is also pretty old considering the fact on the website it said "a flat screen television" yeah no a mini television is not "flat screen" (btw make sure to bring your own water because if you take one out of the cooler its gonna cost you $5) Besides that, we decided to take a motorboat tour around the islands. We were accompanied by 2 staff who drove the boat. The boat's appearance was old and tacky, but still worked fine. I would say the price to go on it is overpriced. $25 per person for 30 mins of boating around shorelines and islands. They also offer a you a trip to the beaches on the other island and you can call them to bring you back. But for 4 people thats $100 dollars to the island, and $100 dollars back. Pictures I got were nice, but were not worth $25. (also to point out one of the staff had a walkie talkie with him and the person on the other end said "so yeah, people are in the pool and it's pretty dirty) After the tour we went back to our hotel room and called it a night. In the morning, I woke up with 3 huge, swollen bug bites on my arm and ankles. The place was just infested with mosquitos and probably bed bugs. Im writing this review with an ice pack resting on my arm because my arm has swollen so much I literally have a "tumour". For breakfast we dined at the hotel restaurant. Not super impressed with the food quality. I had the Belgian Waffle. I don't know if they were kidding but it wasn't a "Belgian" waffle, just a whole wheat waffle put into a circle waffle iron. I think they put "Belgian" in front of it, it made it seem more fancy. The bacon was pretty good i'll give them that. We ordered white toast and what did they give us? Sour dough. We told them we ordered white toast and they said "Our white toast is sourdough". OK WHERE IN THE WORLD does a hotel not have plain white bread? After breakfast we got into the car and left simply because this was supposed to be a good enough place to have YOUR WEDDING in and it just left me disappointed. If you consider coming here i'd go for the tenthouses.

Yelp
Menu says sockeye when I asked if it was Farmed I was told it was. That is wrong Atlantic salmon are farmed not sockeye. Service was slow, food was below average Would not recommend also quite expensive

Yelp
Wow!!! Breath taking, relaxing, rejuvenating! Had the pleasure of renting a basic king size tent. Comfortable and roomy and the ocean view was amazing!!! We didn't dine in the restaurant but very much enjoyed our cheese and cracker platter on the spacious patio with the phenomenal view. The bath tub was why we had originally book and it certainly did not disappoint, the fireplace and radiant heating as well as the down filled linens on the king size bed were just such added bonuses!!! A bucket list to do for sure

Yelp
The Good: Waves crashing against the shore a mere ten metres from your bed. Such a soothing sound to lull you to sleep. The view from the restaurant (sit by the windows, request it in your reservations!). The standard breakfast (eggs, toast, sausage, hashbrowns, coffee, oj). The Bad: The $5 delivery fee for the room service ( uh... isn't that what the included 15% is for?). Is it unpatriotic to say that the Canadian flag atop the flagpole in the bay was a bit much?). The $5 extra fee for most breakfasts not included in the $10 add-on to the room. Why do this? I felt bad for the staff who had to explain this every morning, with every guest. Why not have a $10, and a $15 add-on option? Or just get rid of this all together. Where the hell else are we supposed to go for breaky? The Ugly: The view from cabin 7 (the closest cabin to the water). The silly window faces the pumphouse and a tree. I had to pull down the window screen covering to improve the angled view of the water (it was held onto the cabin exterior with sticks and pinecones). The verdict: Next time I would just rent a small house privately (with full kitchen, views, and no extra fees). I have definitely experienced better. Better food, better views, better service at Bed and Breakfasts!

Yelp
There's no experience quite like camping out in the woods surrounded by canvas walls and the sounds and sights of nature all around. Especially if your "canvas walls" happen to be part of the "tenthouse suites" at Rockwater Secret Cove Resort on B.C.'s Sunshine Coast. Not only do you have a real bed to sleep in, you also have a fireplace, a Jacuzzi tub, all the other indoor plumbing features you find in any resort, a heated marble floor and room service meals. Yes, you are still in nature. Standing outside on your tenthouse deck, a chipmunk may scurry up a tree a few fee away. Bald eagles soar overhead in the treetops. An occasional seal pops its head up in the bay down below your viewpoint. The resort offers a variety of different packages. The secret romance experience includes a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate truffles waiting for you upon your arrival. There is also a package of tub shower products to enhance your experience. Along the same lines, there is an elopement package and a couples' package. The summer adventure package offers a combination of guided kayak and hiking tours, horseback riding and mountain biking options. Paddle across Smugglers and Secret Coves in the evening to watch the sunset and the moonrise. Or take a two-hour hike on the local rain forest trails guided by a naturalist. Other options include horseback riding or mountain biking. We'd actually won a romance package in a draw (it did not include meals) but the Divine Ms. K. and I both like adventure, so I did a bit of negotiation and for a reasonable fee, the sunset kayak adventure became part of our experience there. We ate dinner on the beach, kayaked around the bays until the moon came up, then paddled back for dessert on the beach. If you visit in winter, they also offer an escape package that includes a two-and-a-half hour guided snowshoe adventure or a two-and-half hour cross-country ski outing on groomed trails. Other packages include girlfriend getaways, spring and fall adventures, and the ultimate getaway adventure which involves floatplane travel, hiking, and coastal boating adventures. The food is great. The staff is incredibly helpful, too. While we were there, a big transport truck backed into our Explorer while it was parked out in front of the main lodge, and did quite a bit of damage to the rear hatchback and bumper. The manager took photos, had a statement made up for us, and made sure all the right steps were taken to ensure ICBC wouldn't have any reason for giving us the runaround. They also have a cool gift shop. Okay, so it's not really camping - more like "glamping," the new buzz word that describes "glamorous camping." But if you can dine on gourmet meals, go for a moonlight kayak paddle, then relax with a nice, full-body massage by the ocean, would you really want to camp any other way?

Yelp
Avoid! Terribly Managed Resort My wife and I were celebrating our 16th Anniversary and wanted to stay local since we were booking last minute.

Yelp
No air-conditioning in the rooms (regular rooms, not just the cabins), no ice machine, egregiously over-priced food and drinks-- I could deal with these minor flaws. But the thing that made this "resort" a hellish place to stay was their incompetent staff and sub-par, occasionally rude and mostly indifferent customer service. Without mentioning a word of it, they authorized a $600 hold on my debit card, causing my account to go into a negative balance. Though they quickly agreed to cancel this unnecessary hold (when I paid the entire rate up front), in the process they ACCIDENTALLY authorized a hold of $400 more, making my account balance dip to -$500. They really didn't take the situation seriously at all, offering me nothing more than a free phone call to my bank, which fixed nothing. Their authorization service takes several days to clear, so I'm stuck with access to absolutely no money as I head back to the airport and over the coming weekend.

Yelp
This review is only for the restaurant since I've never actually stayed at the resort. But if I was paying what it costs to stay at Rock Water, the quality of the only restaurant on site would be important to my stay. My first time here was 6 years ago and I had been disappointed and despite the fact that we often stay with family very close by, we were put off returning. This past weekend though, we decided to give it another try, unfortunately the lunch was an even bigger disappointment then the dinner we had 6 years ago. I had the seafood chowder and for $12 I was expecting much better quality. It was a bit better than canned chowder, but I guess they think adding the clam shells in will make it seem more fresh? Flavour could help. Or maybe even a side of bread would make it a bit nicer? I was lucky I also had the kale caesar salad. Which was decent, but now I paid $25 for just an ok meal. My partner had a burger which he said was also decent. They also have a very standard kids menu. My kids had the grilled cheese and it was better than some they've had, but a grilled cheese is hard to mess up. All in all we left with a very disappointing $70 bill for lunch. You'd think maybe you are paying for a beautiful room with a view? The view is ok. The room is terrible. Stuck in the 90's, stuffy, weirdly laid out like they are trying to give privacy but failed terribly. The only saving grace was our server who was lovely and attentive. And the walk we had down to the beach after lunch.

Hans Z.

Yelp
One of the worst meals I've had in years. Food is overpriced. Potatoes were burned. Very poor quality steak. Seafood was dirty and not cleaned properly. Also the room had dirty ladies underwear in the bed when we arrived. Did they even clean the sheets before we came?

Yelp
Dropped in for lunch and couldn't believe how long it took to get chowder and mussels at lunch. We enjoyed the view over a glass of wine but didn't expect to spend that much time there. Unique accommodation right on the rocks on the water but place/grounds need some work.

Yelp
Review for the restaurant only. Although, paying $400/night for the tenthouse suites, it's pretty disappointing to have only one dining option in the area. It's a very pretty area though - great views from the restaurant of the cove. That's the only reason it gets 3 stars from me. The food is passable, slightly lower quality than a casual fine dining chain. Went for the Sunday brunch, turns out they only serve eggs up til 10 am so they only had the lunch menu available. Ordered the turkey wrap, it was warmed but tasted more like chicken to me. The chicken burger came with a lot of chipotle mayo and cheese. Terrible bland coffee. Service was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Came here for lunch after a long hike at Smuggler's Cove. The dining room is small but has a pretty decent view. I would call this place casual fine dining. We ordered the seafood chowder to start, but instead got the daily special which we think was mushroom. It did have truffle oil and goat cheese on it, so we didn't really bother with letting our server know it wasn't what we ordered. (She charged us for daily soup, not the chowder, so that was fine.) I had the mixed greens with tiger prawns added. The shrimp were huge and plentiful so I was pleased with the $6 addition. My friend had the open faced baby shrimp sandwich with citrus mayo. She said it was pretty good. I devoured her fries. Tea is served in a press. Service is friendly. I wouldn't say it's a great place but we didn't find other options and it was enjoyable enough.

Yelp
Rockwater Secret Cove Resort amazing IF you are willing to splurge on a Tenthouse suite; they are top-notch, and you could literally hide away in one of those little oasis' for days on end enjoying the soaker tub, comfy bed, and GORGEOUS views. However, we did decide to spend a night in a Cabin and on first look I thought I might have liked it more as I enjoy quaint things, but it was dated beyond belief. It was, however, clean, comfy and also had a great view. I do also know for a fact that Rockwater is undergoing renovations, so hopefully the tired decor of the cabin will be updated soon :) I would recommend Rockwater to anybody! It's a bit steep in price, but well worth the serenity!

Yelp
Many positives from my stay at the resort (my girlfriend and I did the Spring Fling package), but the two I would like to point out most: The service was warm and endearing. Conversations with both the General manager (Vickram, I believe?) and the Food and Beverage Manager (Levi) were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The food was delicious. I won't make any recommendations as I am sure you will find something you like there. If there was one improvement I'd like to see it would be to install a Hot Tub. The pool sits there out of use for 9 months a year; when a hot tub would get use year round.

Yelp
If you're looking for a unique experience, but away from the city, this is it! Experience how beautiful our province is at this beautiful resort. Staying in a tenthouse suite is a must. Although pricier ($490+/night), it is something you don't find anywhere else. King bed, jacuzzi tub w/ light therapy, separate shower stall, and even if you get cold, a fireplace right inside the suite! Suites are equiped with free wifi, electical outlets for your techy needs, docking station for your ipad in the clock radio, kettle, iron, etc. Every tenthouse suite has an amazing view onto the water, so lounge in the patio furniture and soak in the fresh air! The food also surpassed our expectations. The 5-course set menu include wine pairings, and every course was great quality. The seafood chowder was so good we ordered it twice during our stay, packed full of scallops, mussels, clams, prawns. Everything we ordered a la carte was also amazing! EVEN breakfast! The maple bacon is a MUST, and was perfectly done, as well as the eggs! The open faced shrimp salad sandwich was another favourite. The staff was also exceptional, from general manager Mr. "Z" Zabunyun to the serving staff, to the cleaning staff that was able to answer our questions and tell us that the pretty looking bird we just saw was a piliated woodpecker! Massage in the spa tent, overlooking the water is another relaxing experience. (We both fell asleep it was so relaxing!) Kayaking, personal yoga sessions, horseback riding and hiking are among activities also available. If you're looking for a luxurious getaway close to Vancouver, in style, but also close to nature, this is the perfect place. On your way back to the ferry, be sure to also check out Smitty`s Oyster and The Shed for fish tacos in Gibsons!

Yelp
We spent the weekend away for our anniversary and stayed in the luxury tent which was such a unique experience. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The view and relaxation of the resort was just what we needed. The new chef Mike and his team made an outstanding wine pairing dinner for us. The meal was amazing and the service exceptionally good. We are already looking forward to returning.

Yelp
Nice but way overpriced. Walls in the hotel portion are thin and you can hear everything going on above and beside you. Parking stalls are small and its hard to find a place to park. The highlights were a nice pool and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Beautiful location, but the food and accommodations (except the yurts) are very mediocre, even boring. Needs updating and some creative innovation to set it above average.

Yelp
We received the Princess Louisa Getaway package as a wedding gift, and went up in the fall for an anniversary getaway. We were very very happy with our time at Rockwater! We stayed in one of the one-bedroom ocean-side cabins. They are renovating the cabins, and we were lucky to get one of the completed ones. It was cosy, beautiful and comfortable. The Princess Louisa inlet boat tour was amazing. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and the lunch that Rockwater packed for us was delicious. Our only worthwhile complaint was that we arrived long after dark, and it would have been nice if the porch light on our cabin was turned on (or at least on a motion sensor?) so we didn't have to fumble with the key.

Yelp
Unbelievable experience. After an incredibly difficult year with my fiancé and I moving from England to Canada permanently, and then my dad passing away from cancer this summer, for my birthday weekend all I wanted to do was get away from home. This piece of paradise couldn't have been more perfect. From the tenthouse suite just feet above the waves to listening to the rain on the roof while we soaked in the jetted tub, everything about our experience was spectacular, including the food! Our server even brought me a piece of cake with a candle and sang to me! Thank you to Trudy for the wonderful service and every part of this resort for giving us the time to relax and breathe and be thankful for making it through such a difficult year. We can't wait to come back, I'd give it 6 stars if I could!!

Yelp
I booked rock water for my wife's birthday. We travelled from Vancouver. When we got here I have to say my initial impression was "OK this is not what I was expecting". We walked around and noted the little wooden shacks which must be the cottages were run down looking. On the positive side, The little tent suites were in a really cool setting among the trees with spectacular views. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms which was nice and modern. The entrance was external and you had to walk up a steep stairs to get to the room. My wife had difficulty with this as she has a knee injury. In summary: 1. The place is over hyped and is nothing like you would expect for the money. 2. Its run down and shoddy looking and needs major renovation. 3. Some locals in Sechelt told us the restaurant has a bad reputation although we didn't eat there. 4. The pool is outside and there is no way we could use it in the winter! 5. There is no nice bar/lounge area to relax read a book and have a drink. 6. We didn't check out the spa. 7. The views are stunning and for this I have the place 2 stars. On a side note regarding eating. If you're into nice food, don't come to Sechelt. We brought our own water, snacks and breakfast items which was a saving grace as there is no convenience store close which is understandable as it's a wilderness location. The place is a bit backwards and the fanciest food you're going to get is burgers, pasta and pizza which EVERY restaurant serves! Even the local Indian restaurant serves pizza, pasta and burgers. Bizarre! We ended up in a dive bar for my wife's birthday dinner night dining on burgers as there was no other option! If I was to do this again I would try and get a self contained air B and B and prepare nice meals ourselves. The strength of this area is its scenery.

Yelp
The tenthouse suites here are absolutely luxurious! We stayed in tent 61 and we had the best view ever. I definitely recommend one of the tents closer to the water for better views and more privacy such as tents 58, 59, 60, 61, 63 and 65. My bf and I got the Winter Escape Package for a mid december getaway and we both thought it was well worth the money we spent. We also had the opportunity to check out the lodge and cabin rooms, and we would definitely recommend the tentsuites over the other accommodations. It was raining on our first night in the tentsuite and the sounds of the plattering rain drops was most soothing. During the day, we napped to the sounds of the waves crashing on shore. Thank you Rockwater Resort for a relaxing weekend!

Yelp
We got spent 2 days here in august. The room was stunning, the location was very beautiful and the food was quite good but it was all over shadowed by the horrible management staff and disorganization. My wife found the general manger to be quite a creep. I asked to speak to him at the front desk both of the two following days and he was no where to be found on either. In the restaurant though the food was quite good (very over priced still) the manager on deck and his one server seemed far more interested in each other than helping anyone in the dining room. Her (our servers) wine knowledge was so lacking that we had to use our phones to reference where the wines on their list were from. When we asked to speak to the manager the short Asian fellow was impolite and extremely disorganized scrambling around dealing with the tables around us. A resort of such expensive stature should hire a more professional staff. I would not recommend visiting here for this reason alone.

Yelp
Stellar getaway only a couple of hours away from Vancouver. It may be a tad on the pricey side, but once you get settled into your tenthouse cabin, you will forget all about it. Sweeping ocean views from the cabin decks are amazing, and the quiet is well worth the price. The restaurant was good but not great, offering a number of fresh seafood options. We will be back!

Yelp
I stayed one night a tthe Rockwater Resort in early September for my friend's wedding. The ceremony took place overlooking the water and was amazing. Our $250 dollar/night cabin was expensive and small but peaceful. My only complaint is that they forgot to put towels in our bathroom and I didn't notice until I was coming out of the shower. It took them 30 minutes to bring me new towels but by then I had already dried myself off on their terry cloth robes. All in all though, it's a lovely resort.
