This place could be great, and if you are a golfer; or were there to enjoy the nature/water sports you might not be bothered by what we noticed. There are a lot of great things about this place, and most of the annoyances were small, like locking a random exit door to the outside, so you have to backtrack, or the neighbor with a yappy dog in a hotel that doesn't allow pets... The biggest detractor for us was the dirty room. If I had taken a picture of all the random hair I found (not looking for them) there would have been twice as many photos, they were in the shower, all over the sink counter and even in my bed. The fridge had sticky (Mountain Dew?) all over the bottom. The beds were soft and you get plenty of pillows.
Most of the staff is VERY friendly (almost too at times if that's a thing for you?) but they can also be slow, sometimes as a result of the friendliness, sometimes just SLOW, but you're on vacation right?
The Lakeside Restaurant has REALLY good food. (We compare every steak to Bobby Flay in AC, as my review readers will know is now closed). I spoke with guests who claimed that the other restaurants were just normal fare so we skipped them. The pricing is not any higher than any resort or Casino we've been to, but it depends on what you're used to. (The prices and menus are on line, no reason to be surprised). We booked with open table and since it was mid-week and we eat early (5:30, actually late for us nowadays but ..) we didn't wait for a window seat to enjoy the view while we ate. (We thought our steaks were over cooked for med-rare, with almost no pink) but it didn't detract from the the taste or tenderness, so not a complaint just a note to ask if you're particular about that sort of thing. (Thank you Ken and Ashley!)
I also came down one morning for breakfast (brunch by the time I sat down)- the place was empty and it took an hour to get some coffee, eggs and toast, the food arrived quick enough, everything else took forever. The biggest issue is that the non-stationary hostess(?) was more concerned with entering the phone numbers of the people from the wait list (most had been seated there was myself and a party of 3 still waiting), than helping out and cleaning a table. Only after she had done that and realized that no one else was going to bus the tables she went over and did it. I waited well over 20 minutes to sit down in an almost empty restaurant. Then I saw there were only two servers.. maybe I missed the a.m.rush? My server was nice, though slow considering she seemed rushed with me and not overly attentive, I waited quite awhile for the check. (I still tipped her well)
The Casino is small, and they don't really like you to bother the cashier apparently, tho they do have a ticket cash out machine (but you get a voucher for the change, so I was confused by this report from my hubby so my best advice, just round your cash out ticket as close as you can to the dollar). He lost the first night and almost didn't go back, but won some of it back the second so there's no casino shade.
Oh, and the True Rewards, aren't, unless you can really frequent this place or go to the other associated casinos.
I did go to the spa for a single process color but this review is already pretty long. Maybe a second one or add to this one later.

And apologies to Brian(?) who was leading the tour on the 6th floor. (6/21/22) I think I was considerate and I didn't want to point out all of the above since I wasn't sure who it was you were escorting, but after putting me on the spot, it was only fair I got to do the same, and I did ask permission first. ;)
