We loved our visits to Rocky Mountain Chocolate! Although the line was long, it moved quickly thanks to the friendly and efficient staff. Most importantly, the ice cream was absolutely delicious — rich, creamy, and with a great variety of flavors to choose from. We enjoyed it so much, we went back two nights in a row. A must-visit spot for a sweet treat!

Google
Rocky Mountain Chocolate on Robson has a huge selection of chocolates. I tried a few caramel ones—they were decent. But the extra dark chocolate with organic cranberry bar? Next level. Smooth, rich dark chocolate with really good cranberries. Loved it! 💫

Google
The chocolates are not that great and the prices are high for the quality. I definitely can find better chocolate with better prices made in Canada. One piece of chocolate ball is 5$, and it's just a sweet chocolate with fillings. Their dark chocolates are much better, but they have a rough body to bite. Service is great and staff are friendly. I think it's overpriced for no reason. I hope it gets better.

Google
We bought fudge from here and it was so expensive but the worst part was that when we opened it up, it was super dry and falling apart and not like fudge. It seemed like it had been sitting on a shelf all year, not fresh at all :(

Jason Hung

Google
Worth to give it a try if you have a sweet tooth. Famous for candied apple dipped with chocolate, lots of varieties to choose from. Also ice cream sticks available for summer time, which tasted pretty good too. The price reflects its high quality too.

Google
Maybe it’s fun to see many chocolates in your eyes, but you’d better grab a couple chocolates for yourself only, not for souvenirs. It has chocolate blooms like a mold and kinda old, less taste. Your friends may feel disappointed to say ‘it was delicious’

Google
Walked in to walk around and immediately a staff that was making popcorn greater is with a smile and asked how we were doing and if we wanted to try the popcorn. He gave us a sample told us about it and thanked us for coming in. We walked around and looked at all the goodies and 2 other staff offered help and were very nice. We didn’t buy anything but they offered us another sample and wished us a great day.

Google
Don't buy ice cream here. The chocolate smelled old and it felt like ice milk instead of cream. The ice cream was yellow and frost bitten. Grocery store bars are better.

Yelp
I stopped by on a whim to Rocky Mountain on a trip to Vancouver and that was the best decision I made all weekend. Caramel Apple (5/5): I had never had a caramel apple before and now I don't think I can get one anywhere else. Everything is perfect and only gets better together. The tart green apple is covered in caramel, layers of creamy and luscious chocolate, and finished with crunchy toffee bits. Every texture and flavor builds on each other for literally the best bite I had my entire vacation. Final note, the store will slice the apple for you for the optimal eating experience. I almost missed my Amtrak out of the city to swing by a second time, but it was absolutely worth it. I didn't try any of the truffles or popsicles, but I'm sure each and every item is heaven in a bite. You absolutely have to stop by here in Vancouver.

Yelp
Service was terrible, the young lady helping us was rude and really did not want to be bothered by customers questions about there products. FYI to future customers they do not accept cash. It makes no sense to me when a store that attracts children does not accept cash. Since when do kids have a bank card or a credit card. Kids like to shop and spend their allowance/ earned money too. I tried reaching out to there customer service email they have on their website but your email comes back to you stating Mailer Demon email address does not exist. This customer will not be back!

Stephen G.

Yelp
Top class branding wrapping up a horrible product! Their chocolate is cheep, full of artificial colours and flavours because they have to mask over the other ingredients! I added a poor review on their own site and it was pulled down within a few hours! no comment nothing! this is never a good sign of a company that actually cares about its customers. I had attached an image from the food app YUCKA, it's never 100% accurate and is only a guide but there chocolate got 10 out of 100 ! I had never had chocolate get this before! Chocolate is not that complicated to get right use good ingredients get rid of the dextrose, tartrazine, artificial flavours and you will get me back as customer! love the branding hate the chocolate!

Yelp
Can you say chocolate lover's dream? Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, you can't pass by and not go in. Wow, there is a big assortment of chocolates, including make your decorating your own ice cream - pick a flavor, dip in chocolate and add toppings... They have a cute decorative chocolates that are too cute to eat...great souvenirs as long as not during the summer as they will melt. Chocolate assortments good to eat or give away...

Yelp
very bad customer service. the apple was rotten from inside. There was also hair in the chocolate, I vomit after very badly. Also, the chocolate taste was very old and fishy. the store was not clean and dirty. I will never buy again or go to this store or even eat rocky mountain chocolate products. just please be careful.

Shyama P.

Yelp
Was given a gift for valentines day of chocolate covered strawberries. The berries were going bad and the company refused a refund or a credit. Very disappointing considering the cost of 16 chocolate strawberries was nearly 80.00.

Yelp
The best chocolate ever!!owners with values, that support life, humanity, and love. Amazing service, and tastes delicious!highly recommend

Yelp
Fabulous customer service. Both the manager and the cashier that worked with us were really great. Free samples luring in customers is usually a sure fire way to get a sale. They've remodeled the store and it's very shiny and modern now from when I was here previously. The caramel apples are steep but if that's in your wheelhouse, you will love them. Had some great fudge and peanut butter dark chocolate cups, oh yum.
google avatar

Amy P.

Yelp
There's always something in season to get as a gift. Their designs on chocolate related products are always an eye candy. I enjoyed their chocolate popcorn as a treat here there. I usually get Easter and Christmas chocolate for children from this place.

Yelp
Rocky Mountain Chocolate may be my new favorite chocolate place in the world. I have had chocolate all over the US and all over the world and this was so good. When you walk into this location you can instantly smell and see the chocolate. The smells are what bring you in and then you see them making the different chocolate and you know its going to be great. When you walk around the store they have plenty of different items that you can look at. They have chocolate in boxes and then they have plenty of other dishes that you can get as well. In the back of the store they have a lot of candied apples and they are all in different shapes and sizes. They are also in many different flavors and prices as well. One thing they do with candied apples is that they will cut them up into slices and you can taste with friends. They then have a place full of cookies that have tons of different toppings. Also they have chocolate covered marshmallows and chocolate covered brownies. I ended up trying two different cookies. The first cookie was a chocolate chip base cookie, with white chocolate on it and then oreo pieces on it. The second cooke was also chocolate chip base, with rice crispies, chocolate spread, and marshmallow fluff on it. Then they have a cabinet full of chocolates and plenty of different stuff. They have truffles, and lots of stuff that was either milk chocolate or dark chocolate. The final thing I saw was the popcorn. This place was amazing and I really loved it. I truly recommend this place and can't wait to order chocolate to Florida to try more of it! I highly recommend!

Yelp
My husband and I went inside to look around. I'm not big on sweets, but he is, so I thought I'd get him a little something... Well I purchased some cashew brittle that was so ridiculously good that I didn't want to share!!! He got his caramel popcorn, i can have the brittle, right? Right?!! :-0 Beware, it's a little spendy but it's so worth it! (And addictive as well).

Yelp
Excellent products!!! Omg!! Delicate, beautiful, exquisite There IS nothing else to say! I've found my gem.
google avatar

Dayume D.

Yelp
To start off, I can't speak for all products, but I can strongly recommend one. As a late-night muncher, I was slightly ravenous after an unsatisfactory pizza at JOS. I decided to quench my hunger with a delight from rocky mountain chocolate factory. As soon as I walked inside I was cravin' a candy apple. Ya boi decided to go for the sea salt chocolate and caramel joint and was not disappointed. The symphony of flavors pleasured the senses. This was a delectable late-night snack (shout out to the homegirl for working the late-night shift). Overall, it's a five-piece ALL DAY BANGER ! ! !
google avatar

Julie R.

Yelp
I bit into one chocolate of this halloween box they sold recently and I spit it out right away. I couldn't eat any of them. That was disgusting. It tasted like really cheap chocolate-not to mention their caramel stuffing that only has of caramel the name they put on it-but the thing is, price is not! Definitely not high quality chocolates, nor quality at all. Going back? No thanks, no.
google avatar

Yelp
I love December ! I Love caramel covered apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate ! These Santa and frosty the snowman apples are great and so is the English toffee ! Ho Ho Ho!
google avatar

Vivian T.

Yelp
I didn't plan to walk in until I saw the ad for the egg! The girl was very patient with introducing all the different Easter special edition that they had. I am surrounded by chocolate!! The only drawback wa that they only had a plastic bag to hold my chocolate in. For gifts , it would be nicer to use a paper bag with some ribbons maybe?
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
Very bad selection at all locations for the chocolate covered nanaimo bar the metrotown location usually carries it but these guys never do, bad customer service. Quality isnt even that great, they don't use high quality chocolate this is what happens when you over commercialize the chocolate shops and make everything cookie cutter products.
google avatar

Ly N.

Yelp
The apples are so good here! Prices are on the steep side though. It's nice how you can have the apple cut up for you but if you want to save it, don't have it cut and it'll last about 3 days. The chocolates are way too sweet for my liking. Reading the nutritional guide is scary on how much calories and sugar two pieces have. I'll just stick to the apples where at least the sourness cuts the sugar.
google avatar

Lily D.

Yelp
They are Super smart..... Luring people in with bitesize samples.... I have never liked candy apple before I remember I once had one because I thought they were pretty in pne. After that one I have always stayed away from candy apples.... Until I randomly walked in and grabbed a sample bite that looked like mint chocolate..... It was surprisingly heavenly!!! This cheese cake apple is so freaking good! Ask them to cut it into smaller chunks!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place has very delicious caramel apples, it's a little different than the one in America. The Ricky mountains out there tend to have chocolate covered strawberries, I was craving them so I can't here but they didn't have them. So I just got my yummy caramel apple, cheesecake apple, it was delicious and the taste is great as it is at home. Customer service was lovely.

Yelp
Well I have been to many Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory either in Canada or the US. And every one of them has been pretty consistent. You can't go wrong with their chocolate apple. But I find that in the states they would lay out the prices right away. Meaning prices are listed based on the different chocolate apples and as well the cost per lb per fudge. Here they don't do it. So you either have to ask to find out. I don't really like the fact that I have to ask. I will feel bad if finding it out its over priced after I asked and then I say no to it. Make me feel cheap. But their chocolate is good that is for sure.

Yelp
Every time I visit Vancouver, I try to stop at Rocky Mountain Chocolate for dark chocolate pecan turtles. This past weekend was no exception, however, they were sold out. After a few minutes, and seeing how disappointed I was, one of this store's employees ran out to catch me and my friends to ask how long we'd be in town. She then offered to hand make some for me! Well she did and they were incredible. (yes they're nearly all gone) Rocky Mountain Chocolates are yummy; that's a given and there are no surprises there. But the level of customer service(!) demonstrated by this young lady completely floored myself, all of the guys I came to Canada with on vacation, and absolutely everyone we told about the experience. There are no words. This young lady made my weekend and shocked us all with a simple kindness that wasn't perceived as simple at all. Especially in the current social and political environment. She was sweeter and kinder than ANY of Rocky Mountain's chocolates and seriously put a smile in my heart. Never change young lady!

Yelp
any sweet shop deserves a 4 star in my books ;) whenever I'm here on Robson, it's always worth a dropin. But this one's packaged and marketed right, literally. All the beautiful, colourful candy apples located at the front, the Smarties is my fav. Had the ice cream before, nothing memorable compared to Bella Gelataria though it's a different ballgame. Also recommend the peanut brittle.

Yelp
Quest to Try Vancouver's 101 Best Eats Mission: Caramel Apple Location: Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Cuisine: Desserts / Chocolates Price: Varies, plain starting at $3.49 Deserving to be on the list - I'd think so. Comments: Apple was crisp, caramel was not sticky and service was friendly.. although had no experience how to work a gift card.. leaving my lovely Cyndi to have to fork out money. This is definitely eye candy - both on the apple selection and the ice cream board - full of colours, flavours, toppings, the choices are endless.

Yelp
Real ice cream is hard to come by in Vancouver. While I enjoy all the gelato selections and can barely tell the difference between a gelato and an ice cream, hubby's taste buds are more refined, and the lack of ice cream parlors is driving him crazy. On our trip to Mount Whistler we discovered the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and their great ice cream. To our (mostly hubby's) delight we saw the shop on Robson! On top of their delicious ice cream, the shop is also such a happy place to be! The smell! The varieties of chocolate/chocolate covered goodies! And the huge slabs of ice cream display! Will happily let me senses be overwhelmed again!

Yelp
1 star because the service was great -- 0 stars otherwise. I bought two "bombs" or truffle-filled balls (milk choc & dark choc) as a treat for myself and my spouse. I was expecting it to be about $4 or more, but not a whopping $8.50! That was a nasty shock but I thought they'd be worth it. Nope. GROSS. Chewy, tasteless "truffle" filling. I don't think you know what truffle means in terms of chocolate! These were golf balls of misery. Super hard to bite through and they stuck to my teeth and did not melt whatsoever in my mouth. It was a hot day and they should have even melted in the bag. Avoid the "bombs". To put it crudely, they suck.

Rosanna G.

Yelp
Two visits in two days. The kids love this place. Amazing selection and a very friendly service staff help this place surpass the competition. We would highly recommend ANY of the caramel apples.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
The caramel apples are the best I have ever had. They have really nice designs and prices vary from $5-$13. Pretty expensive for a candy apple but sooooo good.
google avatar

Kymberli C.

Yelp
This was the nicest most modern looking Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory that I have ever been to. Their apples are behind glass windows and stacked up really tall. 5 stars for having a HELLO KITTY APPLE! SOoOooo cute!
google avatar

Ed C.

Yelp
I spent $10 for an Apple Pie Apple and they give me a New York Cheesecake Apple! A-holes!
google avatar

Jasmine O.

Yelp
Walking down Robson street this afternoon I saw a group of people with delicious looking icecream cones (ie: not mcdonalds) and I had to have one. My gf offered to buy me one so we went to the beautiful Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Wow, a sugar fiends heaven. At the back they have the icecream wall and I chose a vanilla cookie dough while my girl got the strawberry. Delightfully delicious flavours. Definitely top-notch icecream.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
I went here last night and got the white chocolate covered caramel apple. I finished it in 5 minutes. It was awesome. It was more expensive than their sister store in Seattle - the apple cost about $8 whereas at the Seattle store it would have been more like $6.

Marc T.

Yelp
Don't trust the clerk at tsawwassen store. They charged 3 times more for my purchases on POS machine which I realized only after I tapped my card for payment. The clerk said it was cancelled and charged the right amount and tapped again. My bank showed both transactions which after 3 months of back and forth with the owner I haven't got a reimbursement yet. I contacted their head office who has ignored my emails.
google avatar

Shila B.

Yelp
Walked by here a million times, however, missed it one way or another from writing. I ate least go to this location once a month for my own personal indulgence or for gifts (when I am too busy to make my own chocolates). The store always smells wonderful and the museum of different character candy apples are fun to look at I had a pink bunny rabbit one at Easter time and vomited 'cause it was an extreme sugar overload. 2 layers of fudge, chocolate, caramel wrapped the candy apple. This is a warning for anyone wanting to buy these candy apples. It's better to eat it one slice at a time. I mostly come here for the candy apples and less about the chocolates themselves. Great flavors, however, the chocolate quality itself is questionable. It reminds me of the same line as Purdy's etc. In the summertime I love watching how the candy apples are made, strawberries dipped and fudge stirred. I stare at the window like a scene from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Every time I have gone in there the staff completely ignore you. They would rather be talking to their friends than acknowledging or god forbid, assist customers. I have been so annoyed at this on more than one occasion that I've never upgraded my order beyond the basics.
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
The caramel apples are amazing. The clusters are amazing. This is no gourmet chocolate shop, but if you have a giant sweet tooth, this place will satisfy all your cravings.
google avatar

Cyndi H.

Yelp
At the risk of being sacrificed by little candy worker-elves, I'm going to be honest: i think the chocolate here is laclustre. That's why it's a good thing that Rocky Mtn has GIANT caramel apples that dazzle. I won't lie, I've been known on occasion to serve these in place of birthday cakes (cut 6-ways by the staff, put it in a cute box, add a candle and 'Voila', the world's best birthday treat (cake tastes like pancakes, and pancakes are gross!). The last time I had a 'caramel apple birthday' was on the grassy area in English Bay. Our gang was all dressed up in Hawaiian gear for my sisters themed birthday party. Guess what I was wearing? Three lei's and a bright purple ankle-length mumu covered in rainbows. So the party-goin' group gets hungry, and I offer to guard our stuff on the beach, so picture this: me, sitting in the middle of 8 brightly covered blankets on a busy beach, wearing a blinding mumu. I thought nothing of it until some joggers stopped to ask me if I'm ok. At first I was confused, but then looked at my closely guarded empire (bordering a sea of happy beach- people), and my crazy outfit, I realised that I may just look like a Riverview escapee. What a great way to pick up the hotties! I was tempted at that point to eat the 'birthday apple' by myself but decided otherwise. Good move. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, right? ; ) Next time you're in a mumu on the beach in English Bay, make sure to do the right thing, and save the treats for the kids :)
google avatar

Rachel H.

Yelp
I've only been to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in the States, but what sets this location apart are the Canadian themed chocolates! The caramel apples were so creatively inspired by this environment: a walrus, a polar bear, and a beaver. I decided to get the beaver caramel apple because it seemed like it had the most milk chocolate, and it was really delicious!! The worker cut it so expertly, too. It basically looked intact except for the perfect slices through the apple. I was expecting to get this big chocolate mess. Kudos to that worker.
google avatar

Dollie S.

Yelp
This place is my fav place to go to when I am on robson shopping and whenever I have a sweet tooth! They have the BEST caramel apples ever! I always get the white chocolate with cheesecake! They have chocolate strawberries on occasion!
google avatar

Duncan W.

Yelp
mmm mmmm mmmmmm. Toffee apples to die for. Not sure this is the healthiest thing I have ever done but it was worth it. The toffee apples aren't cheap by sure are nice, they are huge too. Fudge tasted nice too. Nice staff and good service.
google avatar

Yelp
There's not a lot of places like this in town... reminds me of my trips to the Alberta ones when I was younger :) Gooey candy apples, tons of chocolates, and I love their caramel corn! Cute seasonal packaging - love it! Even better if you don't care and are just buying it for youself... snag them after a holiday for 50% off! It has a nice selection of sugar-free choclates for those with diabetes too. Another plus is great customer service - they've always been really friendly when I go in with samples, and there was a problem with a gift card I had that got wiped blank when I was last in, and head office quickly sent me a replacement. Downsides - I think it's pricey for what you get. Their chocolate is quite sweet and there's better quality out there, especially if you're used to a darker/bitter chocolate. My favorite chocatier still is Bernard Callebaut... and another Calgary original to boot... but Rocky Mountain is a nice option for those with a sweeter tooth.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Love it here! Great selection of amazing apples and chocolates. Can't go wrong here! The workers were so friendly too!
google avatar

Hoa Q.

Yelp
We decided to stop in to see if the caramel apples here are any good. So far, the store in Monterey is still the best. Plus, if you buy two at the Monterey branch, you get the third one for free! The almond covered caramel apple here in Canada was $7.00 CAD plus tax. We would never have suspected that a caramel apple would be that expensive since the ones in California are only about $4.00 USD. The apple was tasty, but not worth it. Save your money for a truly Canadian treat. Skip the one in Old Sacramento, too.
google avatar

Jacob F.

Yelp
2.5/5 Definitely no Marble Slab yet more expensive. I tried several flavours and didn't really care for any of them, but i felt guilty not getting anything, so i got one scoop. I thought the girl said it was $3-something for one, then $1/scoop for the next 2, but somehow it ended up costing $6 for 1... Next time I'll be sure to walk the extra blocks down to Marble and get the real thing.
google avatar

Anita K.

Yelp
It's like the amusement park for chocolate and candy-aholics. You can never just walk past this place - the colors and (definitely) the smell will draw you in to satisfy your curiousity (and perhaps, your sweet tooth). The BEST thing about this place is the sample sizes!!! While you may not be able to indulge in a huge chunk of fudge, its always nice to buy tiny pieces that are the most perfect amount!! In addition to candy and fudge and chocolate bars, the rocky mountain chocolate factory offers a delectable selection of ice creams... Mmmmmmm.....
google avatar

Sebastian P.

Yelp
Who can resist the gooey goddess of a caramel apple on a sunny Vancouver day? Not me...! Sometimes it is indeed good to sin and RMCF has some excellent sweets... though I think the chocolate is not necessarily in that department. It is ok but after all I prefer their fudge and said caramel and candy apples that remind on the good old days at the fairground. Prices are so-so but for the occasional sweet tooth (hello Mr Dentist!) it can be justified. ;-) Yum yum, enjoy! -S
google avatar

Nikki C.

Yelp
Warning. You must used the other side of the side walk or... You are going to end up to Rocky Mountain... FRESH treats. Always. TOO MUCH TEMPTATION sometimes... Everything is DELISH. Apple covered with chocolate, fudge and and and chocolate pop corn... Named-it... Amazing!!
google avatar

Dallas K.

Yelp
Yummy chocolate but most items are out of my price range. $3 for a single hedgehog chocolate? Oooff!!! I tried the Oreo "peanut butter cup" cupcake thingy. Delicious treat, unique. $4.50. I wouldn't do it again. Cookies are $4-5 if I recall. It's so expensive! Nice treats but I would rather not experience buyer's remorse and get 3 Lindt chocolate bars for $6. I just don't feel like the insane cost justifies what you're getting.

Yelp
#30days of yelp 4/30 Drool. This store is a mecca for all those who crave and love chocolates, caramel, nuts and chocolate and nuts combined together in a delicious treat. And those caramel apples with a gooey layer of caramel wrapped around the apples are a treats. I mean it's an apple so it must be half healthy, right? And these caramel apples are not like those super hard, break your tooth caramel apples that are sold at the PNE. These are soft and chewy caramel that I love to take a bite out of. And they come in so many variety. Nuts, M&Ms, marshmallows...and so much more. They also sell chocolate gift sets for your loved ones or as birthday/anniversary gifts. And they also have ice cream at the back of the store. And for those who can't tolerate dairy, they also have sorbet as an alternate option. You can get their points card and they have special perks now and then and you can accrue points to get discounts on a future purchase.

Kayla K.

Yelp
They have the best caramelized apple!! And their brownies dipped in milk chocolate are amazing!!
