Google
Kiind of a mystery to us tourists why there aren't more tasting rooms in downtown Chelan but this place was a great find. We stopped by on a very quiet off-season weekday and found the wines top-notch. Tasting room was beautifully appointed but we sat outside on the small patio and people-watched. Great staff too - a place worth seeking out if you're visiting the area.

A great winery here in Lake Chelan. We were on Xmas eve for wine tasting with friends. Such a warm cozy wine tasting room. We got 2 whites and 3 reds as part of our tasting. The reds were amazing and especially they had a red blend which was my fav. I am not a fan of white wines in general but they had a nice crisp taste and I can see myself enjoying these during summer. We also enjoyed their seasonal mulled wine and it was a perfect drink for a winter evening. The host was very sweet and paced our tastings. Cute spot. Pro Tip: Check in from yelp and get 2 for 1 wine tasting.

Phenomenal Michelin Star quality food. Very creative, surprising, and delicious. It was fun to enjoy a surprise 5 course tasting menu paired with wine. Chef Austin did a great job accommodating my pescatarian husband's preferences and came out several times to explain the courses and answer questions. Especially loved the mushroom themed dessert and spontaneous crab dish. The whipped goat cheese paired with grilled grapes was out of this world. We were scraping the sauces off of every single plate! Food outshined the wine for sure. Would love to see Chef Austin featured on Netflix's Chef's Table. : )

One of our favorite spots in Chelan! Chef Austin is amazing - well … everyone at Rocky Pond in Chelan is amazing! We absolutely love their rotating menu and excellent wine. Outstanding service and positive vibe is awesome. Would give more than 5 stars if possible!

After reading the reviews we were excited to visit this place. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We were greeted warmly and ordered a couple tastings (5 tastings for $25) the wait staff that greeted us made it seem as though they would be bringing the wine to our group to complete the tasting. We did the first tasting and our wait staff was not attentive to our group at all we waited about 30 mins before going to the bar to request our next tasting. Meanwhile our original wait staff was schmoozing another table this whole time. While waiting at the bar we were then ignored by the other wait staff behind the bar until she doubled back and proceeded to give us wine 2 in the tasting. See photo- this is the smallest wine tasting that I have ever received at an establishment, not on par with the amount we received for our initial tasting. The second wait staff did the rest of the wine tasting(if you call that amount a tasting) before our group was thoroughly disappointed with the service and wine and proceeded to check out leave without completing our tasting. As we were proceeding to leave early our initial wait staff apologized for the lack of service. Our group communicated our dissatisfaction to which the original wait staff who responded with “I was trying to sell some cases.” This statement only continues to validates the lack of regard the staff has for its patrons. Might I add that the second wait staff kept referring to the first wait staff as “the boss”. This was unacceptable service especially from someone who was supposed to be higher level at this establishment.

Happened into the tasting room while wandering Chelan on our last day... WHAT A GEM! To say the staff was great is an understatement.. the chef came out and explained the varieties on the charcuterie board, which was all off the charts. The toasted baguette and clams were a great combination as well. Had a tasting of two different wine sets, and they were all good, and (IMO) some were superb. Gorgeous decor, and still a laid back feel. If you're in town, a must go for charcuterie & tasting. See other reviews @ killintheemptynest.com

What a great experience! We stopped by for a bottle to bring home on our visit and stayed for a quick bite. We had the loaded toast. It was so amazing! I wish I could make it myself! One of the best glasses of champagne, it's light and giggly. I love it! Can't wait to go back when we visit Chelan again!

I visited for the first time after winning a gift card through a local non-profit with a listed value of $450. The gift card was for wine tasting with paired bites for 6. This amounted to their menu listed wine tasting ($25 per person), a charcuterie board and bread (not paired bites as suggested). Felt like they had an opportunity to win some new customers but really underwhelmed on delivering on this gift.

Yelp
I recently worked with the team at Rocky Pond to host an event at their Chelan tasting room. I was incredibly impressed by their entire team from end-to-end. The event went off without a hitch, and we enjoyed their beautiful space, fantastic wines and an out of this world custom charcuterie platter. After we left, I accidentally left my phone and wallet behind, and Mya walked 4 blocks to come find me inside of another event and return it! I can't say enough good things about Mya and Rocky Pond. Thank you!

Yelp
I came here for the 6 course tasting menu (available on Friday and Saturday nights) and I have to say, ITS ABOUT TIME. The experience was absolutely incredible, from the wine, to the food, to the service. Chef Austin is a maestro of perfectly blending flavors and textures so every bite feels like a symphony for your tastebuds. Alexa and Devon orchestrate the front of house like a dream. Personable and charming, they are genuinely interested in conversation with each patron while also doing everything possible to make sure your experience is personalized and exactly as you wish. Alexa helped me blind taste test the two Syrah's currently offered by Rocky Pond, while Devon adjusted the thermostat for the gentleman seated near us. No request was too small and they executed each brilliantly and with a (I assume) smile. While the price point for dinner is a touch high, it's all inclusive: food, wine, tax and gratuity, which makes the evening carefree. This is a MUST for anyone that's a foodie or just wanting a special evening. We can't wait to return.

Yelp
I cannot say enough about this place, its staff, and the unforgettable experience we had during Chef Austin's tasting dinner on Sat. 11/7/20. Thank you for being so professional, fun, and considerate of the numerous dietary restrictions our group had. At least we're not allergic to wine!! lol Food was fantastic, and environment was inviting and intimate while totally on point with socially distant settings. You guys made this trip for us!!

Yelp
Called ahead to see if a reservation needed, no answer. Our group of 8 entered and rudely greeted by tall blonde, "Do you have a reservation?" Stated that we called. She rolled her eyes, "The phone has worked-all day." Wow. Should have walked out. She stated, "You can sit there and there." Zero effort made to accommodate our party. Again, should have just left. We ordered tastings ($30) and charcuterie which was good but overpriced. Our group was seated in the front of the tasting room, evidently someone was having dinner in the back. The tall blond told us to, "Shush, they are trying to enjoy their dinner." So incredibly rude. Worst service in Chelan. Will never go back!

Yelp
A wonderful surprise of culinary art, delicious wine and spectacular service. Do not sleep on planning your dinner here! We were surprised about the high level dining and interior space. A great final spot on a wine tasting day out of the sun.

Yelp
The Lake Chelan area and nearby Manson are home to about three dozen wineries, located on either the north or south shores of the lake. Which is awesome, they make some great wines, and often have fabulous views. However, in Chelan itself, there are two (2) tasting rooms. One is called One, because they make one red, one white and one rose'. I've heard they are good. However, when you have an hour or two to kill until your condo is ready, you may be looking for something with a bit more to offer, so Rocky Pond is the place to go. The tasting room is large, with great seating options. We chose to sit at the outdoor area as we tasted and planned our upcoming excursions. They offer several whites, a rose' and two reds. Our favorite white was the Viognier, really nice and tasty, great mouth-feel, good balance of fruit and acid. On to the reds! The Mourvèdre was very light-bodied, but packed a punch of white pepper and fruit. A nice summer sipper when you want a red, and it would be great with BBQ Chicken. Then the Syrah. I'm typically not a huge fan of Washington Syrahs - just my fussy palate - but this was a nice representation. Medium bodied, but intense fruit flavor that packs a punch! Perfect peppery notes, nice mouthfeel, decent finish. Ah, but then the hostess brings out a bottle not on the menu - a 2016 La Domestique; 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Malbec. Yes! This is what I came to Chelan looking for! Generous fruit, layers on layers. A finish that doesn't know when to quit. And through The end of September 2019, that and a bottle of the Viognier is only $49 (and the tasting fee was waived). My recommendation? Get over here now, and give Chelan- and Rocky Pond - a try.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our recent visit to the Rocky Pond tasting room in Chelan. The wines were all good and a great pairing for the cheese and charcuterie plate. Looking forward to visiting their new tasting room in Woodinville this summer.

Yelp
Had 4 different wines all perfect, even the dry Rose. The menu is small but huge great flavor & visual appeal. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly & service oriented.

Yelp
Exceptional meal filled with delicate touches and attention to every detail. After having eaten at many award winning restaurants all over the world, Chef Austin Harmon's cuisine is an easy competitor. Nestled in the downtown tasting room of Rocky Pond Winery, this gem truly made our weekend trip to Chelan just perfect. This dining experience is the destination, the charming lake town of Chelan is just the bonus.

Yelp
Spending the week in Chelan, Rocky Pond was one of many on my list. Typically I'm more of a Reds guy but their flight offered 3 whites so I figured, "why not?" My wife had a glass of the Semillon after tasting it in the flight. She ordered a glass to have while I took care of the rest of the flight by my lonesome. All were surprisingly good, as a red fan I really enjoyed the "11 Dams." But for me, the shocker, was the Semillon. They offer a Pear Cobbler baked in its own little pan with a side of vanilla ice cream. OMG!!!! Absolutely a PERFECT pairing and a must try. Even if you're a reds fan like me, you'll love it! Plus my wife saw one of the spoons we used and recognized the pattern from her childhood that her and her siblings would fight o er to use. She asked if she could buy it and they obliged. She bought a bottle of the Semillon and I got a bottle of the II Dam. Yay team!

Yelp
We enjoyed the tasting room in downtown Chelan, WA. The tasting fee is $10 which is on the steeper end, but still reasonable for a good and consistent 6 pours. It's usually 5 pours, but they are adding an extra one currently (not sure if that's the normal, and they just want to make you feel like you're getting a deal or not, but hey it worked!) Of all the tasting rooms in Chelan, WA this is by far the most modern, clean, up to date one that I have been to. Though, there is no view, and that is a real shame. I somewhat wish they had a fireplace and view, that would for me push this to 5*. I'd love to see their wineries have tasting rooms, that would just make it extra special, especially the winery with the fountain and such - that just looks stunning! Please, add tasting rooms!

Yelp
Fantastic winery, excellent service from all staff. The front house staff are always very welcoming and knowledgeable. Alysha has always been excellent with welcoming us and Head Chef Austin and kitchen staff is so on top of everything that comes out of the kitchen.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic food. Chef Austin and his team are amazing. Great wine and exemplary service. Can't wait to come back

Yelp
There's so many great places to taste and dine in chelan but this one is at the tippy top of our list. First of all, the wine is solid, there wasn't a wine we didn't love and we left with wine club membership. We have since given up another chelan membership (evidently you can't have them all according to my fiancé) from a winery that although delicious, has never bothered to recognize us or learn our names. The service was the best we've received in chelan. The tasting room manager in particular is welcoming, knowledgeable and FUN. The interior space and newly built out kitchen make this place the very best spot on a hot afternoon. While we visited, the front was nearly entirely open giving it a super airy feeling and it was fun people and dog watching the world go by while we sat in the AC. They do have an outdoor patio table for those wanting to be outside. The biggest surprise here was the executive chef and the dinner that we decided we needed to have because anyone that puts together olives like that can make me a meal any day. Don't sleep on the olives. I had clams and my fiancé had risotto and he cried a little and that's a true story . In no way are we knocking chelan, but this place is in another class. I had searched for a place to make a res at for memorial weekend and was a little slow and couldn't put something together and I'm glad we missed the res boat because wouldn't have discovered this place. See you soon Rocky Pond

Yelp
We stopped in to the tasting room in Chelan, last June ('21), were floored at how good the wine was, across the board. I'm not a fan of American Malbecs. But, the young lady who was guiding us through our tasting poured me a glass. If I didn't like it, she'd take it away, no charge. After I tried it, and had my wife try it... who's not a fan of Malbecs, period.. we joined the wine club. Even better, as we live in Western Washington, they've also got a tasting room in Woodinville, where we can enjoy the wine, as well. Is this inexpensive wine, you can find at Safeway or Fred Meyer? No. But, as I've gotten a little older, and truly enjoy GOOD wine, I've found this simple axiom applies to wine, as well You get what you pay for, and you will not be disappointed

Ashley G.

Yelp
Excellent wine tasting room located downtown. It's so nice inside! I love the interior design. The servers are super friendly. I ordered a flight which comes in a tiered display; it looks really cool so have your camera ready. Several flights to choose from. The wine is great.

Rus M.

Yelp
Great modern decor inside with a long wine tasting bar. Nice little patio in the front. Our server was very nice and she tried to explain the wines to us as much as she could, which we appreciated. Tasting was $10 for a flight of 6, but with a purchase of a bottle of wine the $10 tasting is waived. Wines were mainly blends of Whites, blends of reds, and one ROSE. I'm more partial to full reds or whites, but these were okay within walking distance of our place on Lake Chelan. Overall an average place for Wines but a cool place to hang out and chill.

Kristen M.

Yelp
Rocky Pond is an excellent tasting room. Both the Woodinville and Chelan location offers a beautiful atmosphere, delicious food and top notch service. The chef Doug is exceptional, the food is very well done. My Husband and I attended Winterfest this past weekend in Lake Chelan and we were taken care of by Andrew. Andrew provided an " above and beyond " experience. He is personable, professional and of high quality. We look forward to many more visits at both locations!

Kellie M.

Yelp
Incredibly overpriced. Terrible service. Zero stars if I could. The tall blonde "manager" lady was snotty and rude.

Laurie N.

Yelp
Went to their tasting room in downtown Chelan. Very nice ambiance and since we were interested in tasting their wines we decided to pay the $20 for tasting 5 wines. It was assumed, as usual, that tasting fees would be waived if we decided to buy. It was my birthday so decided to pay $40 for the 2 of us. Tasting cost was not waived when I decided to buy a few bottles. So did not buy and left thinking it was a real ripoff for so-so wines.

John C.

Yelp
Service was decent, food was excellent. 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon was surprisingly good for the age. However, $75 for that young bottle of wine means we were paying about a $35 premium to the local market. We won't be back based on the relative value proposition.

Sienna G.

Yelp
Rocky Pond is fantastic! What a nice little modern gem hidden in downtown Chelan. Jill poured our flights both of the days we were there. She was lovely to chat with and provided a lot of great suggestions for places to check out in Chelan. Their rosé was my favorite of the flight, both myself as well as a couple of my friends all bought a bottle. We loved the decor inside, very crisp and clean. They offer a couple small bites which is great and the cheeseboard had quite a nice selection. Next time we are in Chelan we will definitely swing by again!

Serena S.

Yelp
We were walking town looking for a lunch spot and walked by this beautiful tasting room. We decided to go in (lunch could wait). We are glad we did!! We loved the place! Modern and tastefully decorated. Christina walked us through our tastings and she was very knowledgeable and fun. We loved the wines and can't wait to go back! So nice to have a tasting room downtown!

Lauren C.

Yelp
This winery was devine! Not only was the wine wonderful but the service was as well. I will definitely be coming again.

Gerry S.

Yelp
We loved Rocky Pond Tasting Room. We were able to have our little pet with us. They brought her water and we were treated like royalty. Thank you Caitlin for your wonderful hospitality, your genuine concern and lovely personality. RPW is lucky to have you representing their business. We will definitely return before summer is gone.
