We (family of four, two teenagers) stayed for nine nights in August 2025. We stayed in a two bed pool villa which was very spacious and it was lovely to have our own pool, albeit quite small. The only complaint would be that the bed and all chairs were very hard, but that is perhaps personal preference.||The hotel is beautiful, immaculately kept, with a lovely outlook from the main restaurant onto a small beach. The food in the restaurant and the bistro by the pool is of a high standard and very well presented, although a tad expensive. We did walk along the beach or road to the nearby Sabienglae restuarant (5 minutes) a few times, that is well worth a visit. We also visited and ate in Lamia and Fisherman’s Village more than once - both are easily accessible using Grab taxis which always seem to be within a one minute wait wherever you are located. The nearest convenience store is a 10 minute walk.||What sets the hotel apart (and Ko Samui generally) are the people. They were all incredibly friendly, gentle, hard working and helpful and seem to enjoy their work, whether at 6am or 11pm. In particular Koi and Kaew in the restaurant/bistro were absolutely outstanding, always smiling, and a credit to the hotel.||We would recommend, without question.

Exceptional hospitality and a perfect stay Our family had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality from every member of the staff. The room was comfortable and well located, the food at the bistro was fresh and flavorful, and the overall atmosphere throughout the hotel was both relaxed and refined. Every detail – from the quality of the service to the attentiveness of the team – contributed to a memorable experience. A special thank you to the General Manager and the hotel team for the kind gesture of offering us a late check-out – something we truly appreciated and which made our last day extra special. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a well-managed and welcoming place to relax. We look forward to returning in the future.

We have just returned home following 8 days at Rocky’s and are already feeling blue. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel with the friendliest and warmest of staff who genuinely seem happy to work there. We booked directly with them as it worked out cheaper than booking.com. We took an 8 days package which included a massage and evening meal for two people, airport pickup and drop off. We were upgraded to a beachfront room with a plunge pool and spoilt with perfect weather for the entire stay with the exception of a couple of hours rain. We enjoyed the barbecue evening with fire show and complimentary cocktail evening. It’s a short Bolt ride into Lamai. Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.

We are a family of 4. 2 adults and 2 teenagers and spent 5 nights at Rocky's. We had two inter-connecting garden view rooms. (One actually had a sea view, which was a lovely surprise) The rooms are large spacious and clean. The little extras in the room like a beach bag, hats, slippers etc were a lovely addition, and well utilised.|The hotel is lovely. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The pools are lovely and both have a different set up. The beach is pretty to look at, but not so great to swim. It is extremely rocky (I guess the name should have given it away really) In fact we only ventured into the sea to try and swim once, it was far too stoney/rocky and too difficult to navigate. Which was a real shame, and rather disappointing when trying to enjoy a beach stay. The water is also very shallow, so it is not possible to swim over the rocks. We did take out a kayak though, which was nice and paddle boards were also available. The breakfast at Rocky's was ok. Nothing to write home about, but there was a decent enough choice. The food in the restaurant for both lunch and dinner was excellent! Do be aware that this hotel is quite remote, but the hotel do offer a couple of one way transfers to both Lamai and Chaweng. Overall we had a great stay.

We originally stayed at Rocky’s in 2011 to get married. We returned this August along with our twelve year old daughter. We booked directly with Rocky’s via their website. I mentioned when booking that we had been married at their hotel. ||The hotel contacted me prior to arrival to offer a complimentary transfer from the airport. We were already on the island at a different hotel. Rocky’s kindly picked us up from this hotel. ||When we checked in we discovered we had been upgraded and our room was beautifully decorated with flowers and there was a complimentary bottle of champagne. The room was clean, well kept and spacious. The view from the balcony was amazing. ||From beginning to end the service was outstanding! The hotel is immaculate in all areas. ||We waited 14 years to return but this hotel is still as amazing as it was then. Thank you to all of the staff for making our visit so special.

Lovely quiet small hotel. Set in wonderful garden with plenty of space around the pool (we went beginning of July). |We were half board - breakfast was good. The evening meals were very tasty but the menu choice was on the small side.|Two comments - the sunbed could do with a cushion/ mattress. The bar etc closes very early in the evening- about 11 pm?? Too early.|Staff all very friendly.||Lamai is about 20 / 25 minutes walk away. There is a 7/11 about 10 minutes walk.

This hotel is fantastic, much better than a 4-star. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help, making our stay special. The hotel feels like a beautiful jungle, very peaceful and stunning. Breakfast is great with lots of tasty food. Big thanks to Jun for helping with my son’s birthday party – it was perfect! Overall, this hotel is a true 5-star experience. Highly recommend!

Had a great stay at Rocky’s. The location is nice, right by the seaside with cool rocky views. There’s not much of a beach, but the view make for a pretty relaxing spot. The staff were awesome, really friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar service were great. The only small downside was the AC noise, and if you’re in the new building near the street, you might hear some traffic. Just bring earplugs and you’ll be fine. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay thanks to the friendly staff and chill vibe.
