When they have olive oil or goat cheese ice cream, you know they're not messing around. All the flavors seemed incredible and the girl working was super nice. I went with the blackberry and it was perfect. Best ice cream that I had on my Maine road trip.

Dmitry Gorelik

Google
Amazing ice cream! Great flavors and very friendly service. They may have other flavors that are not on displays, so ask if you don’t see coffee flavor (for example).

I've been following this brand on social media since before they opened. Tonight, I was finally close enough that I went out of my way. First, I went to the area that didn't offer ice cream and asked for a cappuccino. It was very burnt. I waited for the crowd to die down and got some ice cream. I asked for two scoops. I got one and a half scoops of one flavor and half a teaspoon of the other flavor. I asked if they had hot sauce, but they only had sprinkles. The girl immediately forgot and rang me up for $5.50. When I asked what type of sprinkles they had, she said she had forgotten sorry and got me some. The total was now over $9?? I paid $20 for nothing that I enjoyed. I did walk my dog around and saw some really cool flowers, which was the highlight. I would probably go again, because I'm a masochist.

Google
AMAZING stop for a sweet local treat without preservatives and junk. got a petite mango sorbet mixed with cayenne avocado(bc i be hype like that) and IT WAS AMAZING. i usually have problems with most ice cream being too rich sweet unhealthy and overall nasty but Rococo DOES IT RIGHT! Best ice cream shop rivaling Morgensterns NYC....NOPE..these guys are better. Very friendly staff and great to accomodate the vegan. i recommend the goat cheese, mango sorbet, and any vegan flavour. your legit not going to lose whatever you choose bc its all amazing. great job y'all!💘💖 Shown is : vegan coconut and green tea ginger Came back in 2025 and the 3 girls who helped me choose my lower sugar flavor were AMAZING and super professional. They hire some real good people here. Im usually lactose sensitive but this like kiddie size I got didnt irritate me. Great job Rococo! Youre keeping our Maine tradition alive ❤️ 💙 Shown: goat cheese and wine ice crqm with 3 slivers of chardonnay sorbet, chefs kiss

This dessert bar was the highlight of our trip. Absolutely love the decor and that they had non alcoholic rosè. The chocolate cake was delicious and had a chocolate ice cream layer and raspberry layer. Wish a place like this was more close by to where I live! Seemed to be a popular destination for many. Enjoyed the sweet cream ice cream next door and the unique flavors.

Maaz Ahsan

Google
Best ice cream spot in town! The flavors are so unique with interesting combinations. I tried the honey and highly recommend. They also have a few tables outside for your to enjoy your quick dessert.

Google
Oh my goodness! Such a fabulous place! Gorgeous design. Super happy staff and wonderful food and drinks. The non-alcoholic rose wine is amazing!

Google
We were just visiting for a girls weekend away and we were ready for some ice cream . We were welcomed by three smiley faces — Jess , Adora and Sonti . They said feel free to try every ice cream and no pressure to buy . You could tell they were very passionate about their job and customer service and teamwork! You don’t see customer service like this everyday !! The ice cream was so delicious — some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had!! Everytime I visit Kennebunkport I will be visiting ! Also — the prettiest most elegant bathroom !

Yelp
I love ice cream on vacation. There were a few places in town, but this little spot off the beaten path boasted the most unique flavors, so we had to give it a try. They open at noon, and sure enough, there was already a short line thanks to a tour bus (clearly, the secret is out). Now, let me tell you, even the small cone sizes are super generous--so go small unless you're prepared for a sugar coma. We all opted for the handmade cones (because we have taste), and despite ordering a small, I asked if I could still get two flavors. Of course, I can't remember the exact names, but trust me, I picked the winners: one was a molasses gingersnap, and the other was a goat cheese/fig/whiskey/honey masterpiece. I'm a city girl, and these flavors? Worthy of any big-city artisan ice cream shop, but at half the price. WOW. Soooo gooood! Highly recommend, whether you're chasing a tour bus or just your ice cream dreams.

Yelp
**GF CONES AVAILABLE** Super cute ice cream shop next to their dessert bar. Has some outdoor seating and a small parking lot. Located in a perfect spot for a break while shopping in kennebunkport. Offers a good amount of small batch flavors that seem to change regularly. Flavors are pretty unique. Ice cream is good - a bit soft so grab napkins and a cup! GF come was delicious! Friendly service and was open later than the other ice cream shops downtown.

Yelp
This little hidden gem of an ice cream shop is probably my wife's absolute favorite. Amazing different flavors served by knowledgeable friendly staff. Great outdoor seating with benches and a beautiful surroundings.

Yelp
We go here several times a summer and Rococco's never disappoints. The goat cheese chambord is our favorite flavor, but all the others are good too. You won't find vanilla or cookie dough here- only creative, interesting, I can't believe you made an ice cream out of that and wow it tastes so good flavors. The workers are super nice and if its not busy will let you sample as many as you please. The owner just opened a dessert bar next store with fun desserts and dessert style cocktails. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Mannie H.

Yelp
My husband and I visited Kennebunkport in October and went to Rococo for ice cream twice. We would have gone over and over again if we'd been in town longer. :) It was truly DELICIOUS. And can I just brag on the employees for a moment? The two individuals with whom we interacted were so friendly and warm and helpful. They were also so patient as we tried to decide on a flavor, and they were more than happy to allow us to taste different ones. Kudos to them, really. Specifically, the whoopie pie ice cream is to die for. I also tried one that had Earl Gray tea, I think, and it was sooo good. Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Will D.

Yelp
Very good ice cream - the whoopie pie is tasty, but could use slightly more actual whoopie pie in it. Otherwise it's mostly vanilla. The dark chocolate tasted similar to Fudgsicles - also really tasty. It's just pricey at $5-6.50 per cup for a "petite" and small (which is just half a scoop more). Very good but on the expensive side.

Yelp
Went to Rococo with my wife, 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter. We loved this place so much! To quote my kids, "it was better than Baskin Robbins and Dairy Queen!" The honey vanilla was the best ice cream I've ever had. My son got Salty Sweet Cream, which was also incredible. The service was great too - the staff was very friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Stanley L.

Yelp
Excellent and unique flavors, worth a visit to try these awesome flavors; with strong flavors and creamy texture, can't be beat. Even think the prices were worth it (if you love ice cream)!
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
I've been here a few times over the years, I do enjoy their ice cream. I like that the ice cream is homemade and made in small batches with rotating flavors. I am a fan of the dark chocolate and the passion fruit flavors. I tried the honey vanilla this time and liked it. What is really frustrating to me and made my wallet cry is that a single scoop of ice cream is $7! I understand it is a tourist location but it really does break the bank and I do not remember prices ever being this high. The girls were friendly and allowed me to try a couple of flavors.
google avatar

Joel F.

Yelp
Rococo has always been a family favorite, from when they only served decadent ice cream in their previous location. Fast forward to now, they have raised their own standard! The new location with desserts and libations is a MUST ! We couldnt stop ordering items!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND: The Rococo Baked Alaska and the Queen Has Spoken (cocktail with a smoke bubble!) Kudos to Rococo for always striving to make the moments magical and memorable!
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
This place was awesome! They had plenty of interesting flavors. I tried Whoopi pie, the guava one 8 the lemon cherry one & all were so good. I ultimately chose the guava flavor & it blew me away! Highly recommend this place if you're into different flavors.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
Must try: Special Brazilian Flavors curated by the awesome workers! Why: Very unique flavors! I don't remember what was in the Brazilian flavored ice cream but wow, they were so dang good! Notes: Super friendly workers who allowed me to try many flavors. The workers had a contest on best new flavors voted by customers, which was fun! Small and cute shop that was clean.
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
We went to the full dessert bar. We had the chocolate cake with raspberry glaze and an affogato. Very good and lovely French atmosphere. Would go again for sure.
google avatar

Christy H.

Yelp
Such a great ambiance in this little desert cafe. We have always enjoyed the different variety of ice cream flavors. The dessert bar is the "icing on the cake"!

Yelp
I picked up two pints of this ice cream on 7/3/24 after having only a tester bite. The girl behind the counter packed these pints full with a smile, and I was happy to pay a small premium ($18.15 per pint incl tip). This ice cream is creamy and full of flavor. The shop is poshly decorated with a victorian flare and the staff friendly and helpful! I enjoyed both the experience and the ice-cream. I bought the Goat Cheese Blackberry Chamboard and Olive Oil Rosemary Caramel & Pepitas. This is what ice-cream should be... creamy, bold flavors you can taste and experience with each bite. They had several other flavors I will try next time I am in town, this will be my go-to for sure in Southern Coastal Maine as I had no luck in Portland or Ogunquit finding good ice-cream. A definite must stop if you are in the area. One thing to note: The parking is horrid in Kennebunkport during tourist season, it may be tough to get a spot and if you do you'll be paying as high as $9/hour for the lot near the shop, but honestly this ice cream is kinda worth it. If you are staying in the area a walk or bike ride will be your best bet. I encourage folks to experience the unique flavors of Rococo if you are anywhere near Kennebunkport, ME in the future.

Mily L.

Yelp
It's a cute little spot in downtown. Excelente ice cream selection. They are extremely friendly and they are more than happy to give you a sample if you're undecided.

Yelp
Can't believe we stopped by for ice cream in the freezing cold. Let me tell you it was the best decision ever. The ice cream here is delicious. I got the pretzel and the raspberry flavored one and loved it. I actually finished it all not minding it's cold. It was a nice treat after a long walk thru the beautiful town. It's my first visit to Maine and I really enjoyed my trip here. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The nice young lady that helped me chose the flavors was very pleasant. If you are visiting Kennebunkport this place is a must stop.
google avatar

Teena S.

Yelp
Great local ice cream shop right next to Kennebunkport Inn. They make their own ice cream and everything is local. The Maine Whoopie pie was delicious!! I can see why my son wanted a small and not a petite. The dark chocolate was a big hit for my daughter too! She loved it. The only one that was a bit off for us was the spicy rocky road. I had to toss it out. It definitely had cayenne in it. The lady who worked there was really nice and friendly.
google avatar

Renuka C.

Yelp
Friendly staff, central location, good selection of intriguing flavors including 2 for lactose and gluten intolerant customers - even gluten-free sugar cones - yumm!!!!! Bright ice-cream parlor decor and generous portions. We had apple rhubarb which hubby swore tasted exactly like apple pie. I had the apricot coconut cream with cocoa nibs. No seating inside but 2 long benches just outside to enjoy your treat. Loved it so much we went back the next day had the dairy free creamsicle chocolate chip (orange zest on a vanilla base with chocolate chips!) - incredible!!

Jen A.

Yelp
AMAZING service and delicious options! They made a birthday celebration special. I can't recommend this place enough!
google avatar

Dominic D.

Yelp
I am not an ice cream connoisseur but this ice cream just was different. The flavors were not your traditional ones and definitely unique. I had to ask the friendly lady working about most of them and she was very helpful. They only allow one party in at a time during COVID but the line went well. so good!
google avatar

Mao M.

Yelp
Rococo Ice Cream is a tiny shop in the center part of the town, and we were excited to finally go there! There's no dining area really so the line goes quick even if it's long. What we ordered: Olive oil, rosemary caramel + toasted pepitas Earl Grey Sour Cherry Jam They don't necessarily have many flavors but all are really unique, interesting, and delicious. The base ice cream is thick with rich dairy, and it can't really go wrong with any flavor. Unlike regular caramel, the strong rosemary added another layer of complexity, and the nuttiness of the toasted pepitas was also very nice. The Earl Grey one was like a fancy cheesecake flavor with earl grey and sour cherry sharpening the rich flavor of the ice cream. Many ice cream shops stopped serving a scoop for tasting after COVID but it was available here. We also tried Goat cheese honey whiskey fig, and I loved how the fig came through the complex flavor combination. The goat cheese added creaminess but wasn't too sour.
google avatar

Kate G.

Yelp
I wish I could have tried all the flavors! Out of our group, I probably got the most "boring" option of Maine Whoopie Pie, but I have zero regrets it was so good. Other choices from our group included Cuban Coffee and the Blackberry Goat Cheese. Everyone was happy with their choices and despite this location being tucked in just a little off the main streets, it's absolutely worth the slight detour.
google avatar

Blake R.

Yelp
Amazing little ice cream shop In downtown Kennebunkport. I had the large with with 3 flavors . 1. Goat cheese blackberry - was creamy and amazing. Would never have put those two flavors together! But well done. 2. Honey vanilla - was very full fat flavored with just enough honey to show up in each bite. 3. Maine whoopie pie- great flavor with mice big chunks of whoopie pie. Vanilla was great pure flavor. Obviously not the cheap vanilla. Will be back again tomorrow night to try so new flavors since they are new each day!
google avatar

Peter M.

Yelp
Ok, different, tried two flavors and not really very good, too expensive for the portion 1/2 pint for $8, nearly $10 w/tip.
google avatar

Jennifer F.

Yelp
Okay, if you're a serious ice cream lover like I am, this place is for you! Skip all the others and come here. My son and I both had olive oil ice cream with a rosemary caramel swirl and toasted pepitas. OH MY GOODNESS!! Heaven! The rosemary in the caramel was next level. Amazing!!! All the other flavors looked great as well especially the Ted wine raspberry sorbet. Yum. FYI they also offer gluten free cones and many of their ice creams are gluten free.

Nick R.

Yelp
Quite a surprise! While in Kennebunkport, ME we wanted some ice cream. We have pretty simple tastes in the way of ice cream - vanilla/chocolate twist soft serve is my Go To cone of choice. However, Rococo flipped that upside down. First, it's hard scoop ice cream. Secondly, they have your basic vanilla and chocolate flavored ice cream but with a twist and then a bunch of specialty flavors. I got a scoop of Sea Salt Vanilla and a scoop of Maine Whoopie Pie. Our son got Maine Whoopie Pie. And my wife got Cuban Coffee. All three of us loved the flavors. The Whoopie Pie was really good. If you're in the mood for ice cream but a little something different while in Kennebunkport check out Rococo's. Their flavors change daily so keep that in mind.
google avatar

Marcella A.

Yelp
My husband and I absolutely loved this icecream. We were disappointed that we weren't able to make a 2nd trip but they had such werid hours of when they open. We would had loved to get another scoop of there hokey pokey icecream supposedly they 2nd most popular flavor there. Definitely go there and check this spot out you wont regret it.
google avatar

Olivia J.

Yelp
Really liked the whoopie pie ice cream!! Their menu is filled with very unique flavors, definitely worth checking out.
google avatar

Iris S.

Yelp
I think this is the only place for ice cream on the Main Street in Kennebunkport. The line is long but moves quickly. The ice cream is made like gelato so it's velvety and decadent. They have a ton of great flavors. My favorite was the rum horchata but I also tried the goat cheese blackberry (which is what they're known for. I only didn't get it because the scoops are large and I just didn't think I could eat an entire cone of it) and strawberry basil. My husband got the salty sweet which is more like a vanilla. It is only a touch salty which was perfect. Stopping here is a great way to end an afternoon!
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
A dozen unique flavors that you can sample and then try. A large is two flavors for $8... Quite pricey but it's a decent treat on vacation. Friendly girls were working there and aware of keeping the line moving when the group in front of us wanted to talk about what they should get and try more flavors. She nicely asked them to move to the side to help my party and it was so nice how she noticed and did what both of us needed. Only one bench out front to sit but it's easy enough to walk around and find a place to sit nearby too
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
Very unique ice cream! Go in with an open mind as the flavors seem a bit strange at first but don't let that discourage you. Ice creams and sorbet's are delicious.
google avatar

Randi R.

Yelp
Honestly ... for a first visit, this was a bust. Everyone with their cup or cone were leaving vaguely, or visibly non plussed by their purchases. Flavors unique and esoteric - flavors leave a wide gap of satisfaction. Cute storefront - but beyond that disappointing.
google avatar

Chelsea E.

Yelp
Love the freshness and creativity of flavors here. The vegan lemongrass mint was delicious. Don't be weary of a long line they love through it quickly and it's worth a little wait!
google avatar

Amber E.

Yelp
So amazing! A friend told us we had to stop in here, and so glad we did! The ice cream was so creamy and delicious. I got passion fruit chocolate chip, my husband got goat cheese blackberry chambers, and my daughter got dark chocolate. We each thought our flavor was the best! Definitely a must stop every time we're in town!
google avatar

Shawn H.

Yelp
Really amazing ice cream. We came all three nights on our trip, and while I wasn't that excited about some of their more offbeat flavors, I thought the dark chocolate, Cuban coffee, and honey vanilla were all really outstanding traditional scoops. I also loved the ice cream taco I got with a chocolate shell and Cuban coffee interior.
google avatar

Roberto O.

Yelp
My wife and I had the pleasure to visit their signature shop in Kennebunkport, Maine and were absolutely blown away by the variety of flavors and customer service. Upon walking in, we were greeted by a nice gentleman who gave us the run down on everything. He was extremely nice and informative which helped us decide on which flavors to choose. The ice cream and the flavors are unique and a must try if you are around the area.
google avatar

Caleigh S.

Yelp
Been here a few times, super weird flavors, not great for kids, more for adults. Great service.
google avatar

Abby B.

Yelp
You scream, I scream... Rococo is not your traditional ice cream. Their flavors are unique, like Spicy Avocado and Blueberry Goat cheese, so if you are adventurous, then this is your place. They have a few options for those of you who don't do dairy. I tried their Lemongrass mint, which is coconut based, and despite being non-dairy, it tasted like fresh mint ice cream. Highly recommend a visit here!

K B.

Yelp
The honey vanilla ice cream is to die for! The ladies that scooped the ice cream were very friendly and accommodating. We asked to taste a few flavors and they said to us and the people before and after us "taste as many as you want." They have some really unique flavors as well as some more traditional ones. Highly recommend Rococo!
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
Very unique, but tasty ice cream flavors. Since it was my first time and I wasn't sure which flavor I wanted, they let me sample a few, while helped me narrow down my choice. I tried the whoopie pie ice cream with a chocolate cone and I loved it. They don't have classic flavors; however, they have your new favorite flavors that you can only get here.
google avatar

Melody B.

Yelp
Fabulous homemade ice cream in unusual flavors. Don't be deterred by the line, it is worth it.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
Holy!!!!! I never loved an ice cream place so much. After their Ogunquit location invited us to try their ice cream, I told everyone I knew and invited some friends to try the one in Kennebunkport. I was a little bit sad that they didn't have the lovely olive oil rosemary from the other location, but that disappointment didn't event have time to build up because they had Strawberry JALAPEÑO and Mango CHIPOTLE. I got a selfish sugar cone with the Strawberry jalapeño and the avocado cream cayenne and, it was basically heaven. I think spices deserve to be in ice cream. Wheres the pepper? It was cute too, there was a nice old man who was warned by the scooper that the jalapeño had a little bite to it and that sort of warded him away from it...

DJ P.

Yelp
Not open when they said they would be. Wouldn't trust their hours. Food is ok and the ambiance is fine.
google avatar

Gabbi T.

Yelp
If I could give this place 7 stars I would. We came here every single day during our trip. Such creamy textured ice cream with unique yet classic flavor combinations. Our favorites were the Sweet Salty Cream which was akin to a burnt vanilla with subtle under notes of a salted caramel. The Goat Cheese Blueberry was also a hit, with a light and milky flavor balanced with the fruitiness from the fresh Maine blueberries. Dreaming of it now as I write about this place
google avatar

Mark H.

Yelp
A unique and always interesting twist on ice cream, Rococo continues to deliver on quality. Going beyond chocolate and vanilla, flavors include Strawberry Habanero, Spicy Rocky Road, Bourbon Praline, and Green Tea Ginger to name a few. Not sure which delicious flavor to try? Get a flight. Already know what you want? Rococo don't skimp in the scoops either. Definitely worth a stop.
google avatar

Sean K.

Yelp
Don't be turned away by the long lines. It does move fast and although small, they do an efficient turn over. There are 14-daily flavors in the case and they are usually posted on a chalkboard outside leaving you plenty of time to decide. Sizes start at petite and small is plenty for an individual, even with some sharing. I got Horchata Rum Cake, others got Simply Mint, and Speculoos and Pretzel. No complaints! Had we stayed longer, we would have made stopping here a daily occurance.
google avatar

Kimberly N.

Yelp
After a long afternoon of walking and shopping In Kennebunkport, our family made a stop here for some ice cream. The line was out the door but moved fairly well. The inside was nice and clean. I had the goat cheese blackberry and it was excellent. My only complaint was that one of the girls behind the counter was really vocally aggressive about people moving out of the way so that she could get to the next customer, and it scared my autistic 6 year old.
google avatar

Martin D.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! You must try the Garam Masala. It's very tasty. If you're here in town it's a must try.
