Good food- I wouldn’t say it was authentic but it was tasty. Service was great- good timing in between the drinks, appetizer and main course. The atmosphere was nice and also a young lady was DJing and playing a mix of great tunes. Overall a enjoyable experience

Having just arrived in Medellin, we first stumbled upon Rocoto for our first meal. Elevated from the street and surrounded by greenery, you can't help but feel like you have stepped into the jungle. The rushing stream below only adds to the effect. As we were just off a plane, drinks came first. They take their Pisco Sours seriously, so we ordered a Pisco Basil Mash and a glass of Albarinio. The minute I saw they had squid ink empanadas, I had to try those, and they did not disappoint. The black masa exterior was as impressive as the delicious filling. The next obvious choice was the ceviche, followed by a Causa. This multi-layered potato dish is served cold and features a unique filling; ours featured avocado and two types of chicken decorated with a dynamite sauce. This causa was DYNOMITE! While we were clearly in Medellin, Colombia, we felt transported to Lima, Peru. Rocoto is an excellent spot to try something authentic and different from the local cuisine.

Great food for a good price! Very nice service, too. The pulpo con olives and the Ceviche Peruano were our favorites

Dining at Rocoto in Medellín was a fantastic culinary adventure. This restaurant stands out for its unique fusion of Peruvian and local flavors, and each dish I tried was a delightful experience. I started with the “Al Escabeche Causas “ which were a revelation. These traditional Peruvian dishes, made with layers of mashed potatoes and fresh, tangy toppings, were incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. The balance of taste and texture in each bite was impressive. Next, I had the “Tiradito Tres Sabores”, a standout dish that truly captured the essence of Peruvian cuisine. The variety of flavors—from the spicy to the tangy—was perfectly balanced, and the freshness of the ingredients made each mouthful a joy. The “Fettuccini a lo Macho” was another highlight. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the rich, savory sauce with seafood had a depth of flavor that was both hearty and satisfying. It was clear that a lot of care went into crafting this dish, making it a standout on the menu. For dessert, the “Tartar de la Casa” was a delightful way to end the meal. The combination of fresh, high-quality ingredients in a beautifully balanced tartar was both refreshing and indulgent. Overall, Rocoto offers an exceptional dining experience with its innovative take on Peruvian cuisine. Each dish was crafted with precision and care, making it a memorable spot for anyone in Medellín looking to enjoy a flavorful and unique meal.

The service was great, and the food was good! I visited during lunchtime, and it was pretty empty, but that made for a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Still a nice spot overall.

We came to celebrate a birthday. The place is nice, service was good and everybody was happy with the food. I think the suspiro limeño we had was really good, not as sweet as others I had before. I really liked it.

Great food, excellent service but music just way too lould. This is a restaurant not a club. I left with a headache because of the high base music. I would love to recommend this place but I would have to add, do not go if you're looking for a nice quiet dinner with soft music.
