Rodd Miramichi River

I really had a wonderful stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and overall very pleasant. The only downside was our breakfast at Restaurant 1809—the food wasn’t hot when it was served. Aside from that, everything else was great, and I would still recommend this hotel.

Such a lovely hotel with excellent service and a beautiful view of the river. The Christmas decorations were lovely and created a fantastic atmosphere. I have been here in other seasons and the same is always true - a great atmosphere and caring staff. The room was clean and quiet at just the right temperature.

Lovely stay, came on a day where they had a market event as well. Shoutout to the front desk lady and the maintenance guy coming out to help with our dead battery one on of the coldest days! Even a local resident, that turned out to be a mechanic, even stopped by to help along with a customer from the bakery saw us and offered her jumper cables. Thank you Miramichi for great hospitality!

I recently visited this restaurant located inside a hotel, and I was truly impressed by the overall experience. The view of the lake was absolutely stunning and added so much to the relaxing vibe of the place. I tried their breakfast menu and really enjoyed the pancakes — fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly made. The seating area was comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful architecture and design of the space, which made the whole experience feel upscale yet cozy. Whether you’re planning a small event or just looking for a spot to enjoy a weekend brunch or lunch, I’d highly recommend this restaurant. The combination of a great view, good food, and lovely ambiance makes it worth a visit!

I went to Miramichi for school sports. I chose to stay at the Rodd because I had heard fantastic things and I’ve got to tell you it did not disappoint. The staff was amazing, the hotel was impeccably clean, and the food was amazing. I love being able to have a quiet night sleep in a comfortable bed. I couldn’t even hear any of the students that were staying in the hotel that night. I’m planning to come again soon for a family vacation just because it was such an amazing experience.

Probably one of the nicest hotels I have encountered in Canada (surpassing many 5 star properties that I’ve stayed at as well). Rooms: king overlooking the river. Clean, well appointed, black tea, water bottles - very comfortable. Service: every employee from the Front Office to the cleaning staff to the restaurant were very kind, joyful and professional. Thanks to the management and staff, I really enjoyed my stay with you. I’m this day and age, it’s rare to have such good service.

I go to the Rodd a couple times a month. The staff is fantastic. Vanessa now calls me by name. The staff always makes me feel so welcome. The rooms are very clean. The beds are comfy and the pillows are the best. To over look the water is a real delight. I would recommend.

My husband and I and our 2 Shihtzus stayed for one night November 13 2025. Great and quick check in service and the best pet friendly hotel we have ever stayed in from Toronto to Miramichi. There were 2 nice fluffy dog beds….two dog bowls and a little bag with cookies for each of them…..sooooo not expected. Their hot tub and pool are super and very clean. The food at their restaurant is very good as we had some finger foods and then breakfast in the morning.

A restful night in a great hotel......delivered what we sought. A lovely hotel with a great setting. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and the king bed was very comfortable with good pillows. We slept well in a quiet room ....which we had requested and the hotel delivered. The pool whilst small was refreshing apart from two ankle biters who seemed unable to be contained by their keepers. I swam through them and they got the message but their keepers didn't even notice.

Had dinner at the Rodd tonight. July 26,2019. Had I not been a guest of a special friend, I would have complained very seriously. Oh My. The service was so bad. I thi nk we waited at least an hour for food. My friend had a Steak,it was poorly done,overcooked and tough. I had "fresh Mussels" they were anything but. NO creativity in the cooking ,mussels were left on an open plate.no seasoning, no garlic sauce. A Goat cheese and Beet salad was really poorly prepared, it was on a 10 inch plate. For a nice hotel and the only hotel in town, they need a new cook . Terrible food preparation , very slow service but a remarkable evening on the Miramichi.

Great hotel! Clean / friendly, i had a great time staying here. It's clearly the nicest hotel in the area. Great view of river and a really nice indoor pool. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, which is also the nicest restaurant in the area. Great food - but really forgetful/poor service. It was really shocking at times to be honest.
