Rodd Miramichi River

I went to Miramichi for school sports. I chose to stay at the Rodd because I had heard fantastic things and I’ve got to tell you it did not disappoint. The staff was amazing, the hotel was impeccably clean, and the food was amazing. I love being able to have a quiet night sleep in a comfortable bed. I couldn’t even hear any of the students that were staying in the hotel that night. I’m planning to come again soon for a family vacation just because it was such an amazing experience.

From the moment we arrived at the property, I was in love with the beautiful scenery. Walking into the lobby was impressive, it felt grand and modern. We were immediately greeted by Michael, one of the front desk employees. He was friendly and professional. When we arrived in our room we were surprised by a birthday cake, banner, balloon and card signed by all the hotel staff. I had mentioned when booking that we were travelling for my daughter’s 10th birthday. To say she was excited about the surprise would be an understatement. ||Our room had the most spectacular view. The Marimichi River was only steps away. |The room was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The mattress, bedding and pillows were all excellent quality and provided a wonderful nights sleep. Bath towels were a good size, not typical for most hotels these days. |The indoor pool was a great temperature, the hot tub was clean. The view from the pool area was of the river, creating a relaxing environment. |Having the attached restaurant was a great feature. |When we were walking down the hallway on our way to checkout, we met many staff members from various departments, the hotel was buzzing with housekeepers and maintenance staff. We were greeted by each of the staff members. They were all so pleasant! A couple of them had noticed my daughter’s birthday balloon and had wished her a happy birthday as she passed them. This stood out to me, I was in awe at how every staff member made us feel welcome and important. |We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Rodd Marimichi. Having a walking trail and playground steps away from the hotel provided easy access to fun. We look forward to returning again.

Probably one of the nicest hotels I have encountered in Canada (surpassing many 5 star properties that I’ve stayed at as well). Rooms: king overlooking the river. Clean, well appointed, black tea, water bottles - very comfortable. Service: every employee from the Front Office to the cleaning staff to the restaurant were very kind, joyful and professional. Thanks to the management and staff, I really enjoyed my stay with you. I’m this day and age, it’s rare to have such good service.

Lovely hotel on the water. Super comfortable bed and bedding. The shower made you to want to stay in longer. The pool looked very nice although I didn't use it. The Miramichi River made a beautiful backdrop for this hotel and it was really nice that you could walk right out of the hotel onto a walking path all along the water. From my opinion, they are doing all the right things at this hotel. Thank you. We will be back!

A solid experience. The Rodd never fails. Really nice rooms, great staff and facilities. I feel valued as a guest. Even the non echelon rooms are extremely nice. ||Very convenient location. All in all, the best choice on the Miramichi.

Fantastic stay, we were in for a wedding, they had most of us together on the same floor. Location is great, close many restaurants and a superstore, and its right on the river. The food was good at the restaurant rooms were clean and quite.the only thing I didn't like was the shower in our room was a walk in with no door, so water sprayed onto the floor making it slippery.

We stayed here for one night and it was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and the building and room were both clean and updated. There is a pool and hot tub on site, which I can’t review unfortunately because we forgot to bring our swim clothes. It looked nice though. The location is wonderful - right along the waterfront and there is a nice park right next door. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Miramichi.

I go to the Rodd a couple times a month. The staff is fantastic. Vanessa now calls me by name. The staff always makes me feel so welcome. The rooms are very clean. The beds are comfy and the pillows are the best. To over look the water is a real delight. I would recommend.

A restful night in a great hotel......delivered what we sought. A lovely hotel with a great setting. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and the king bed was very comfortable with good pillows. We slept well in a quiet room ....which we had requested and the hotel delivered. The pool whilst small was refreshing apart from two ankle biters who seemed unable to be contained by their keepers. I swam through them and they got the message but their keepers didn't even notice.

Had dinner at the Rodd tonight. July 26,2019. Had I not been a guest of a special friend, I would have complained very seriously. Oh My. The service was so bad. I thi nk we waited at least an hour for food. My friend had a Steak,it was poorly done,overcooked and tough. I had "fresh Mussels" they were anything but. NO creativity in the cooking ,mussels were left on an open plate.no seasoning, no garlic sauce. A Goat cheese and Beet salad was really poorly prepared, it was on a 10 inch plate. For a nice hotel and the only hotel in town, they need a new cook . Terrible food preparation , very slow service but a remarkable evening on the Miramichi.

Great hotel! Clean / friendly, i had a great time staying here. It's clearly the nicest hotel in the area. Great view of river and a really nice indoor pool. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, which is also the nicest restaurant in the area. Great food - but really forgetful/poor service. It was really shocking at times to be honest.
