Unpleasant experience, partucularly regarding the room. - Stained sheets with old disgusting stains. - Curtains do not shut all the way. Had to push the coffee table against the patio doors to keep them closed. Yet too much light came in, in the morning. - smoke detector green light flashing all night right in my eyes - pillow was destroyed. The wool was lumpy inside the pillow/in pieces. My head could not sit well on the pillow. -Very short sheets. Could not turn in bed without taking them off. While the following is not strictly a negative, I do not get why one cannot use internet services or apps on the tv while it has the capacity. Could not use netflix or youtube.

We stayed at Rodon Hotel, which is in an amazing location, and we’ve been coming here with our family for many years. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing when it came to service. At breakfast, we arrived at 09:50, got our food quickly, and sat down at exactly 10:00. At 10:10, a waiter came over and told us we needed to hurry up and leave because they were closing. At 10:15, the lights were turned off while we were still eating. I understand that the restaurant needs to prepare for lunch, but this is not the right way to treat guests who arrived before closing time. Later in the afternoon, we asked about the tea and cake offer. The waiter told us he didn’t know what cakes were available and said we had to get up and check ourselves. When I politely asked if he could bring the cakes over so we could choose, his response was simply “no, get up if you want.” I’ve worked in hospitality for 15 years, and I’ve never spoken to a customer like this. It’s disappointing to experience such blunt and rude behavior in a place we’ve trusted and visited for years. We also stayed in an executive suite, which had two TVs. Unfortunately, neither of them had internet access or the option to use Netflix. When I called reception to ask about it, the lady who answered told me, “We don’t offer internet on our TVs for safety reasons.” I was honestly astonished by this response, especially for an executive suite and considering modern hotel standards. It felt outdated and poorly explained, and it didn’t match the level of accommodation we expected. This is the first time we’ve had such poor service at Rodon Hotel, and I truly hope this was an exception and not the new standard.

A lovely and cozy hotel in a perfect location. The rooms are simple, but the beautiful views more than make up for it. The atmosphere is especially magical during Christmas, a truly charming place to relax and unwind.

Rodon Hotel & Resort|We recently enjoyed a Four Night stay at Rodon Hotel & Resort which is situated at the top of the Village of Agros some 1100m above Sea Level. Now I had booked this stay a while ago and a few days before we set off I checked Trip Advisor to see the views of recent visitors. Upon reading a number of negative reviews I became quite concerned but as we’d been looking forward to the break we decided to see for ourselves. Well all I can say is I cannot agree with any negativity. Our stay was exemplary. Room we had on the Third Floor was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Communal areas were spotless and plentiful with the Gardens beautifully kept. Breakfast choices were very good and the food was of a good quality and replenished regularly. We ate at the Hotel one evening and tried the Buffet which again had a good choice of dishes and decent value. Staff were generally helpful and efficient plus there were enough staff to cover all areas at all times. So so Peaceful and Tranquil and a Great stay in my view and I would certainly return.

Nice hotel up in the mountains. Great breakfast included in the room. 55 cats live on the premises but are feed elsewhere so they just layabout in the sun enjoying life at the hotel like any other guest. Friendly place with great fresh cool air. The road here can be a challenge if you are new to driving in Cyprus (left side of the road). The road moves like a snake up the mountains and down again, use L gear on your automatic car or low gear like 2 on your manual saves the breaks.

I find it very hard to come up with a fair review for this hotel. Yes the hotel is cheap and clean. Yes, the staff is polite and friendly (I appreciated that very much). Yes, the breakfast and the lunch/ dinner buffets are great. On the other hand, this is a family friendly hotel. That means that the low price attracts families with children. And children are noisy. Very noisy. We spent two days of children screaming and crying and running around non stop. At some point it was ridiculous, it was like a circus. It was so horrible that we had to stay in our room trying to find some peace and quiet. Thinking of it, we should have not stayed for the whole duration of our stay. One other disadvantage is the fact that the rooms have paper thin walls. You can literally hear your next door neighbours snoring. It’s irritating. I don’t care about the old furniture or the tiny swimming pool. At the end of the day, this is a 3 star hotel and the price to stay there is the lowest you will get in Cyprus. The staff really does its best to keep things running smoothly. I give them that. And the fact that they are always smiling and happy to help is amazing. But it is unacceptable to leave the city seeking for peace and quiet and not being able to find it. Another thing I want to stress out is the lack of caring for stray cats. I totally understand that the policy of the hotel is to keep animals out of the establishment or the outside areas and I respect that. But to see thirsty cats drinking water from the swimming pool doesn’t draw a nice picture of the hotel. They could at least put some water bowls somewhere away from the establishment. These poor souls… Overall, this is not a hotel where you would relax. You will have a good time though if you’re a parent with children. I gave a star for the hard working staff and another for the quality of food.
