Rodrigues Coco Villa

Could have been 3 stars rated, but due to owner rudeness on the 1st day of stay itself, so has to be one or two star. Rice was sticky, so i had to lightly tap the spoon on the edge of the rice cooker to let the rice fall, the owner's daughter in law told me not to do it in a sharp manner. Since i notice that we were a burden for her, so i told her:" don't worry, just bear with us for three days". Afterwards, while dinning the owner came to tell us to leave!!! Yeah, leave!!! What a hospitality!!!!In fact they change their attitude as soon as we ask for air conditioner remote, they told us to pay rs300 per day, but as per the agency that we book, everything was included. We were a group of 15 people. I went to so many hotels, but never experienced something like this!!!!. Food was good, but i believe most places in rodrigues the food is great. So overall, definitely not recommended. If you don't have customer service or showing signs that may think you are racist, so you should not do this type of job.

Very good service. Though I am vegetarian my meals were okay. There is room for improvement. Rooms clean, good staff, good location. Highly recommended

I went to Coco Villa in the end of year period with my friend. The check-in was not as expected. We were not very well informed of all the hotel facilities. We were promised occasional open buffets upon arrival, we ended up having rice balls, at times grains, legumes, pickles and a protein-base food.. everyday was the same routine, they did even propose typical meals. Breakfast rating 5/10. We got bread, butter , cheese and jams, sometimes oily delicacies. The staff was neither professional nor welcoming.. We could not even ask for an additional thing, they always say there is no more left (eg extra dessert)..||The rooms were smelly and not neatly cleaned with old and defective furniture.. An additional fee of Rs200 is asked whenever we use the AC. Supplementary sanitary utilities are not given, we had to ask for extra toilet paper roll each time, shower gels and soaps as well. No shower cabins or separation between shower area and toilet. No music, no animation, only complete silence during dinner. Very disappointed, did not expect to have such a bad experience over there. It's not value for money.

I stayed at the Villa during the period of Christmas 2017. During the first few hours of our stay, we faced unpleasant and harsh attitude from the owner (especially the HE). He was very disrespectful towards my mother who is an elderly person, just because she asked if she could have bread and butter instead of fish since she was vegetarian than day. Rooms are not cleaned every day. Towels are changed once after every 6 days. For 3 persons, only 1 small soap was provided. Previous occupants left noodle packet which was still there when we occupied the room. Lots of 'mouche jaune' in hotel surrounding. I got a feeling that they do not like Mauritian people, are money minded and practice discriminatory services when i compared against reception that the french tourist were getting. Swimming pool was not clean. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. They have no idea how to welcome tourists and are disrespectful.

Upon arrival there was not a welcoming, just after the owner asked if we would like to have a juice. A guy drove us to our room and what i saw the room was wide open even before opening it. Washroom was so smelly urine near the toilet bowl oh gosh like a public toilet very disgusting, no towels and soaps nothing should ask them for it. Room was so dusty,with a small wardrobe plenty of dust and hair i guess from previous people who stayed there. A small kitchenette but yet with bottle of water used one from i don't know who. Everywhere you wil find stuffs from someone else i don't even know if they did clean the room. The next day cleaning service was not done as all remain the same bins were still full in the kitchenette but only for the room one was emptied, i got to do my bed myself towels and bed sheet are changed after 6 days and that's insane and very not hygienic. Near the pool there was a baby diaper for 3 days like this i can't imagine where their eyes are! food was okay but hospitality toward European and Mauritian was far away to be the same. Mauritians were not to be pampered or considered rather than others that is awe full. I won't recommend this place to anyone their are better far apart.

Amazing stay there... the food was delicious. We were very comfortable. The family was very friendly and polite and they arranged breakfast earlier cause we have to leave early for work. Thank you coco Villa we’ll be back soon

We enjoyed our holiday at Coco Villa- the room was clean and we had tasty food . We also liked the lovely beach nearby. However the Manager was discourteous, rough, arrogant and not customer oriented. Such arrogance is a negative factor as he depends on customers and it is not vice versa. I will definitely travel again to Rodrigues but will stay at another location only because of the Manager. Some employees too were rude and need customer care training.

It was enjoyable. I love it and Elvita is a darling person as well as the staff. My son enjoy the pool and the food. Copious breakfast. Thanks Coco Villa. Eric & Rebecca
