Roemahkoe Heritage Hotel

The hotel is located in a beautiful historical building, not too many people stayed here during my visit, so it is quite and peaceful. However the hotel will do well to invest on new towels, so that they can throw the old towels. Aldo, I would like to advise the staff who handle the front desk during the evenings , he really should be more friendly , rather he was so absorbed on his handphone 😁

Lovely hotel, very antique. The stained glass are a very lovely touch to the overall decor of the place. The staffs are all very kind and friendly. Definitely going to stay the night when next in town!

Roemakhoe Heritage Hotel was my favourite hotel on my recent Java-Bali trip. Although it's a bit far from the train station, it is in a nice area, close to Kampung Batik Laweyan, close to lovely cafes, restaurants, batik places, spa... a perfect location for visitors. It is a lovingly restored historic property - I loved the atmosphere and the wonderful rooms and common rooms - like living in a museum, but with the right amount of comfort. My room was a little dark due to the wooden shutters, but cool and comfortable. Bathroom had a bit of patina which did not bother me at all. My only slight problem was the noise coming from the street, even late at night and in the early morning, as it is on a fairly busy street - it is adviseable to bring ear plugs if you are sensitive. Also, there is no pool as this is a historic property. The Western breakfast (50k IDR) was simple with limited choice but tasty. Other than that, the room, with its nice big bed, nice mattresses and linen was very comfortable, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Cute place, friendly staff, clean room, strategic location. Pretty bathroom, hallways filled with paintings for sale, located at a walking distance from kampung batik Laweyan. Its an antique place but not creepy, very cozy. We booked a room without breakfast, but they also offered additional breakfast fee at a very affordable price.

One of the best bed and breakfasts in Surakarta, the authenticity of the architecture is stunning. They are very deserving of being called a "Heritage of the City."

3 nights stay. Nice and cozy. Love the atmosphere. Room was nice and clean with extra bed, although not too spacious for a family of 4. Service was good, staffs were responsive, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ordered a night before. Although the food choices were limited, the dishes were freshly cooked when we arrived at the restaurant. It came with full meal, appetizer (juice or fruit), main course, and drink (coffee or tea). For some people, it might be uncomfortable because it is close to a busy and crowded main road.

Surprisingly much better than the photos i’ve seen in google😄 beautiful space and vibes.. quiet and warm
