We went to an ice hockey game here during the Christmas period. It was easy to navigate to the stadium and in the stadium to our seats. The atmosphere was amazing and the game went to overtime which was brilliant. As tourists the only disappointing thing was after the game we went to the team shop and it was closed. Along with a lot of other overseas visitors we were not happy that we could not get a souvenir from the shop. It was 3:30pm???

One of the most exciting places to visit and enjoy an event like a hockey your football game Right next door at BC place. It's always a good vibes kinda feeling with huge crowds and traffic emerging out of the stadiums and into the streets and into restaurants and bars the party's just beginning when the game or concert let's out. Family friendly services available for the entire family and levels of accessibility and needs. We are willing to make special arrangements and accommodations to ensure that nobody is going to miss out on there favorite events. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance from both of the stadiums. No shortage of parking lots, and adequate police service and security available everywhere until late each night of any of our events, we want to ensure that our guests feel completely safe and comfortable to fully experience our amazing events and products without having to worry.

Rogers Arena is such a great place to catch a hockey game or a concert. Watching the Canucks play here is always an amazing experience. the energy from the crowd is just next level. I’ve also been to a few concerts, it’s always a fun time. There are lots of food and drink options, which is nice, but parking can be a bit of a hassle, so I’d recommend getting there early or taking public transit. Overall, it’s a solid spot for a night out in Vancouver!

Google
Well maintained great venue to see hockey. Great fans, reasonable process for a stadium. The corridors are a bit narrow, but the view lines from the seats are all great.

I've both worked at and attended events here. This venue is one of my favorites in both contexts, it's compact yet not too small, the layout makes sense and everything is easy to find, concessions are efficient and quick, and the ushers and staff are some of the kindest and most professional I've encountered in the event industry. Ingress and egress for the venue makes sense, access is simple via any form of transportation, and it is located super convenient to downtown and the Vancouver city core.

Google
Outstanding performance from Hans Zimmer and band. Truly an unforgettable experience. The venue itself was clean and tidy. Removed a star because anyone with a bottle (plastic) entering the floor level was asked to dispose of it and pour their drink in another plastic cup with lid. While I understand why this was being done, it seems extremely wasteful.

Renovations were much needed. concourses are small due to the arena's location; the atmosphere fluctuates based heavily on team success. parking is expensive, and there is a lot of it, I'd recommend taking the Skytrain. food is good but very expensive. The playoff atmosphere is insane, that's if the team decides to make it

Went to a Canucks game while in town. Was very walkable from our stay in downtown Vancouver. The seats were upholstered and plush, which is something we don’t see for stadiums typically. There were also arm rests between the seats, which is always nice with stadium type seats. There are bar railings in front of each row of seats that say “please do not lean on rails,” and “be courteous.” There was a guy who was at the edge of his seat and did lean on the railing on and off throughout the game. We asked him to sit back a few times, but when he did lean forward, it was difficult to see most of the rink. That being said, it was an isolated incident and we were very happy with the rink!

Yelp
This review is strictly for the outside. I didn't go inside because hockey had not yet started for the season. It was really cool to walk around different areas and see all the different player banners they have up here. It was cool to see the Roger Nielsen and Pat Quinn statues. Great memories come back to mind when seeing these. I made this part of my early morning walk. I was able to walk around here just after sun up and when nobody else was around. So it's like I had the place to myself. The building is unique as there are so many different ways to get to it and also to enter. I am so glad I stopped by here. Anything hockey is my jam! I can't wait to go back up here and hit a game in the near future!

Yelp
This arena reminds me of the HP Pavilion (now SAP Center) in San Jose. Only this arena is starting to show its age. I've only visited once for a hockey game, but I would have preferred to catch a game at the newer and closer Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle instead. Even though that place feels a bit smaller, at least it's more modern. From the Main Entrance to Section 116, right behind the players' bench. Here's my overall perspective: ~ Location: I cannot comment about parking as it's just easier to get dropped off here versus paying for parking. Outside the arena, it looks pretty crammed, but traffic seemed to flow OK. You can find plenty of rooms for rent in the area, that make it convenient for you to walk there as well. That's just my 'place to stay' recommendation. ~ Entrance: We did get help from staff at the entrance and had no issues through the detectors. The gate staff were helpful as well. Once through, it was again, a bit hard crammed, as this place isn't as wide open the way T-Mobile Arena is in Vegas, or even the SAP Center, or Staples Center (now Crypto) in LA. It was annoying foot-traffic with no sense of direction. ~ Food: Typical food stands with high prices, so expect to pay close to $20 for burgers and beer (about $9 average). Avoid the beer line by paying with the beer-guys walking around with their mobile pos. No issues with the beer guy either. ~ Seating: These seats felt small and a bit uncomfortable. The cup holders did no justice as I placed my beer in the holder and settled in. Time for the national anthem! Got up, and my beer caught my jeans and SPLASHED all over the floor (damn, palm to forehead). Great timing for a bad omen. And yes, my Blues got served by the Canucks on this day! ~ View: Of the players and action was awesome! Obstructed a bit by the coaches, but that's what I paid for. Ice level view wasn't the greatest, but again I was expecting a bad view from behind the bench. Apparently, the jumbotron is fairly new and better than the previous. Looking up from ice level is harder to see though. From my past hockey game experiences, a typical good view of a hockey game would be from around Rows 13 thru 15. ~ Fan interaction: It felt crowded and dead in here. Seemed like the die-hard Canuck fans were optimistic, but not confident. Less interaction versus Kraken and VGK fans who seemed more excited to be in their home arena, rooting for their team versus the fans here. But I understand the history with the Canucks. Just being truthful. My Blues took 49 years to win their first Cup, so I know that feeling. For now, congrats to the Canucks for an awesome 23-24 season. I knew coach Tocchet would turn this team around. Would I attend another game here? Maybe, but only if it gets a facelift. I heard there are plans to replace the 30+ year old seats. So I may not return until that happens. In the meantime, I've got other NHL arenas to explore.

Yelp
What a nice arena. Got to sit close to the game so it's a pretty good view. Not from around here so only got to enjoy it for a short time. Would say it's nice and walkable! I did see a Costco outside... great way to save money and eat there first and head over for the event :)

Lindsey D.

Yelp
It's a stadium. With stadium pricing. Staff and security team are super nice. Commenting on seats. I've had the privilege to sit in different seats this time, from row 1 (premium has cup holders, to regular stadium seats (that have no cup holders) and box which is mainly standing. It's 2023, these seats are tiny for the most parts. There is generally no coat check, so these seats are even tinier if ones wearing outerwear or layers with nowhere to put your layers. Beer is usually poured from taps to cups with poor lids, there are full service bars and they provide a better vessel in a can. Tim Hortons has coffee, tea and hot chocolate. TIPS: Wear thermals with light layers that you don't mind scrunching in a bag. One gets a myriad of temperature of walking around, waiting in lines, watching games. When done with your bottle drink, there are water fountains that you can refill your water bottle. Log in with your barcode 90 minutes before game starts, as there are times when there is weak signal on your phone with massive usage in the area. Wifi is available, however. Use as backup.

Yelp
Great venue but be warned you're coming out of pocket for everything. Drinks bring paper( plastic) stale cold popcorn bring paper, eats you may want to take out a loan out with a low interest rate. The should also have the Canadian blood bank set up to give a discount on some goodies, atleast that way you feel like your not being completely taken advantage of.‍ otherwise I recommend pregaming before you enter but don't get too too sloppy lol. Oh the seating is tight, I'm a big dude and honestly it's ridiculous for me and that is my biggest gripe and it ruins the entire experience for me. If it wasn't for the wife I'd never set foot in the place. But if you're an average person and you don't mind being so close to your neighbour you'll probably have a great time.

Harmol C.

Yelp
As a huge Canucks fan, it is always special to get to go here for a game, or a concert. The arena could use an upgrade on certain aspects. The seats and the food could be better in my opinion. The prices are high for concessions, but that is pretty standard for NHL arena's. There are most upgrades to the arena coming down the pipeline so it should be exciting to see what happens. Go Canucks Go!

Yelp
Located on the 500 level of Roger's Arena through gate 16 is Club 500. After you clear security and a quick elevator ride, you will be greeted by the warm hosting staff and led to your seats if you are a first time guest. Nicely decorated with Canuck's memorabilia and cinema lighting, you will stroll through a corridor and into a wider landing offering the first of many buffet style food stations that line the inner corridor of the 500 section. First stop - a sushi and oyster bar with a sushi master replenishing the various maki complete with pickled ginger and wasabi. Adjacent to the sushi is a buffet of charcuterie style cold cuts, cheeses, breads and soup. As you traverse the inner ring you'll find several stations offering baron of beef (with the trimmings), assorted cooked seafood, vegetables, chicken, rice, salad and accompaniments. Last stop are the desserts. Coffee and tea are included and self serve. There is a centrally located bar, service staff offer drinks and clear away dirty dishes, but if you don't want to wait a while as service is hit and miss, you should go to the bar and order directly. Today was the first pre season home game of the Canucks 2023-2024 season. Our seats were on row 3, which is at the top (not cantilevered over the upper section). It was the 2nd period before we were checked on by service staff, which was slow compared to other visits. In this section there are no bad seats, plus you have all of the TV's covering the game mounted in strategically located viewing spots. Ice visibility is excellent and even though you're high, you see all the action. You should be aware that event parking is around $40, so you may want to Uber if you are close by.

Yelp
I made it to my first ever Canucks Hockey Game here at Rogers Arena, located right in the heart of downtown Vancouver, BC. Funny, I started sensing a pattern during my travels throughout Canada... The week prior, I was in Edmonton and checked out the Oilers home venue and that was called Rogers Place. And, in Toronto...the BlueJays MLB Stadium is called Rogers Centre!! Lol, now I'm confused! To recap... - Rogers Arena - Vancouver - Rogers Place - Edmonton - Rogers Centre - Toronto Interestingly...I also have Winnipeg, Ottawa and Montreal on my To Visit List...I wonder what those are called?! Anyhow, yeah I was excited to come to Vancouver for the first time. I got fortunate that the Canucks were in town. I purchased a ticket on StubHub for $22 Canadian! What a bargain considering I'm from the USA. Welp, my seat was in the 2nd row from the top, yet...the views from high above were terrific! I had no viewing hindrances and actually saw the rink pretty well! Overall...my first sense of this Rogers Arena was that it was a little on the older side and worn down some, but...I was really satisfied with my seat! No complaints here. Also, the game was played on a Sunday in the afternoon time at 4pm so I had the earlier part of the day to explore around Vancouver. And because it was a Sunday, I found free parking on the streets and walked 10 minutes over to the arena. For a 4pm game, they let fans inside starting at 3pm. This gave me a chance to enter right away and start taking photos without many people around, including...grabbing a picture with the team mascot, being a shark of some sort. The introductions to the game were exciting with cool sound effects attempting to ignite crowd noise in support of the Canucks. But, actually, the following evening I was in Seattle at Climate Pledge Arena for the Kraken's Hockey Game and the pre-game festivities were much more energetic than here at Rogers Arena. Really, a much noticeable difference. For being one of the very first home games of the 2022 - '23 season, the stands were about 3/4's full and when the Canucks scored a goal and did well...you could feel the loud support for the home team. And yes, my seat being in the corner Section 327 of the arena in Row 14 at the top was just fine for watching the game, even if I did have two strangers sitting beside me. I didn't mind...there was enough spacing. My only disappointment with the experience was trying to get a few pictures of myself and the hockey rink in the background. Every time I asked someone to take my photo, I appeared completely in the dark. Even when I used flash, the results were the same. And this brings me to another point. It's not just here at Rogers Arena, but I've been noticing a lot of NBA and NHL settings have this shadow/darkness issue. When fans try and take pictures of themselves, they're not coming out clearly. Even when the game finished, people stuck around to grab last minutes pics and were letdown by the lighting. I am not sure if the arena dimming the lights too much or not brightening up the "house lights"? I don't understand. But, I'm finding this issue to be frequent at indoor sports games. Yet...the next night at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, this darkness factor was nowhere to be found. I actually captured some great moments of me and the hockey rink that left me with fond memories of the game. So, I don't know...sometimes they just vary...is all I can say. In the end, regardless of whether I got the most fulfilling pictures or not, I still had a great time at my first ever Canucks game. And, it actually went into overtime so I got 5 bonus minutes to enjoy. Unfortunately, there were no sudden death penalty shots as the game finished in OT. Lastly, there is something about attending NHL hockey games that I find so exciting, to be in the action of it all rather than sitting at home and watching on television. Hockey games are fun and I'm glad I got to be here at Rogers Arena.

Yelp
I had a great time at rogers arena. Me and my friends went to a Canucks game on a Saturday night. The stadium was packed!! It was a lot of fun watching the game. The stadium was generally really clean and nice. It was a cashless stadium but you could still exchange cash for gift cards at the service desk. Even in the very top row you could still see the action pretty well. The seats were relatively comfortable compared to other stadiums. I only wish the monitor in the middle of the arena was a little bit bigger. But as far as stadiums go this was pretty nice

Yelp
We just happened to have a weekend trip planned to Vancouver during the best time of the year. That time is NHL playoff hockey! We had to join the fans and waive our towels! Unfortunately the Canucks were away when we were in Vancouver. But they set up a watch party in Rogers Arena for their away game. This is probably the best watch party I have ever been to! As soon as we got out of our Uber we could feel the energy and excitement! The tickets told us exactly what entrance to go through. Security was nice and kept everyone moving through at a good pace. When we finally got in, it felt like we were at an actual game. They had bands and a DJ playing for entertainment around the arena. They even had some great photo opportunities. Before going to our seats, we had to stop for food. We picked up some nachos and garlic knots. This is some of the best stadium food I have had. It was all at a good price too. The food here is delicious and I recommend getting yourself a snack. We finally made it to our seats and watched the canucks on the giant video board which had been lowered to the ice for everyone to see. The seats felt like they had seen better days and the row we were in was tight with very little leg room. Hopefully they put in some nicer seating in the future but once the puck dropped, we forgot all about it. This game was exciting and the energy in the building was incredible. I am glad we got to see them win. Hopefully we can make it back to see an actual game. Go to an event here if you can. It's a great place! Go Canucks!

Janet M.

Yelp
Went here with my friends for Swedish House Mafia concert. Security is pretty lax, no crazy pat down. Venue itself was pretty good, not too big that you cannot see anything; we were at lower bowl. The washroom was pretty clean, there are not that many stalls, so the queue is always long. The drinks stands was worst I have ever experienced. Bought 3 beer, each cost $12, which is expensive but normal for venue like this. When the staff poured the beer from the can to a plastic cup thing, they didn't tilt it. One of my cup, half of it is just foam. The other two has 1/3 foam. Lesson learned, will not buy drinks here.

Rita P.

Yelp
We came from Seattle to see Madonna. Great show, stadium is nice and seats are spacious.

Dennis S.

Yelp
Not a bad place to hold an event . I was there for a UFC event. I was amazed on how clean the arena is ...well the whole city is clean.A LOT of cool things to do in Vancouver!

Terrance P.

Yelp
Came to the arena to take some photos and saw a sign that read, "Welcome back Michael." I didn't realize they meant Michael Buble! So I bought tickets to his concert which he played one night only. This is a beautiful arena right on the edge of Chinatown. Behind it is the soccer stadium for the Whitecaps. The acoustics were good and the seating was great. Clean and we'll kept. Michael was awesome and very comedic. He didn't play a lot of his songs but did lots of covers which disappointed me a bit.

Ka Azul T.

Yelp
Iron Maiden!! Nice venue and friendly staff. Priced as expected for any arena event. Wheelchair accessible seating. Super convenient transit from expo line, 1 block away.

Chris C.

Yelp
It's a great venue for concerts, didn't see a bad seat in the house. Pricing is typical for venues such as this. Getting in was pretty quick and the usher in section 107 was fantastic. He even took some photos of us before the show even started. Overall, I would consider flying back here to see another concert in this venue.

Michael U.

Yelp
Although the excessive cost of parking and absurd traffic patterns following an event at Rogers Arena must be noted the Arena itself is great for hockey and music, a recent Arcade Fire show offering good acoustic fidelity and a very accommodating staff. No Stanley Cup banners to muffle the sound, as a bonus! ;-)

Melanie T.

Yelp
The venue is a little outdated. There are no cup holders so the floors feel sticky. Depending I. Where you're sitting, some spots are bleacher style so if you dance and party too hard, your things will fall through the cracks. Story time: it was my first time here. I was a little too excited to see SuperM in concert. Literally, 5 minutes before the show was about to begin- I dropped my phone. However, the people in front of me couldn't find it either and we all realized it must have dropped in between the seats and all the way down below. I went into panic mode. I ran all the way down to the security in front and told them the situation. They asked for my section and row and seat number and said someone would retrieve my phone and it will be at guest services. Apparently, this happens quite often. Thank you to the staff member and security team for retrieving my phone back. They did it so quickly in about 10 minutes. Thankfully the concert didn't start until 7:10 so I retrieved my phone and kept it close to my heart the entire time and didn't miss a single minute of it. But lesson folks- don't party too hard.

Andy F.

Yelp
During my trip to Vancouver, I never thought about attended an NHL game, but my good friend highly recommended it as soon as he knew I was in Vancouver because the action is fast paced and non stop, and the fans are really into it. He even checked the schedule immediately! There were two Vancouver Canucks home games against the Stars on a weekday and the against the Avalanche on a Saturday. I decided on the Stars game as it was on a weekday, tickets were cheaper, and the Dallas Stars was my favorite NHL team in the late 90s with Mike Modano, Brett Hull, Ed Belfour, and Joey Nieuwendyk (ty cell phone spellcheck lol) when I had some interest in hockey. I researched on parking and it's $40 to reserve a spot in the arena. However, there is street parking nearby as well as multiple parking garages and lots. You can even park in Costco. However, all these lots have an Event parking price that starts two hours before the event, and the prices start at $40, which is the closest to the arena, and goes to $30-35 walking distance, and $25 for lots a few blocks away. Parking in Vancouver is super expensive I've come to realize, but I'm sure there are secret spots somewhere! I just parked at the $30 lot which is right across the arena parking entrance. Costco is $35! I must say that this is a really nice arena. The interior is clean and spacious, and there are a lot of food vendors circling the entire arena. Washrooms are abundant and easily accessible, and clean as well. There's a bar area where you can enjoy your food and drink on a table while watching the game. There are TVs everywhere following the game. Since this was my first time at this arena as at an NHL game, I didn't know you had to go to your specific section from the outside to get to your seats. You cannot walk around inside to go to your section. There are ushers at every entrance. When the game is going on, you can't go to your seat, you must wait till there is a whistle/stoppage of the game, only then you can go to your seats. I think that is great. You are allowing the audience to follow the game without getting distracted and having to get up while the game is going on. Our seats were the last row in the upper bowl. Directly in front of the VIP Club seats. The view was excellent! The way the seats are at a steeper level gives every person a clear view of the rink, so you won't see half of someone's head the entire game. When we got to our seats there were a Canucks beanie laying on the seat. How great!! There are a lot of food stands all around the arena, but most are repetitive besides just a few. We were looking for chicken strips and fries, and we literally walked around just to find it! If we went the other direction, it was literally just one section away. Surprisingly, the prices were super affordable and not jacked up like from my previous experiences. And the food was pretty good too! Overall, I had an awesome experience. The game was really exciting, and I enjoyed every second of it. The fans are so into! The staff were friendly and courteous. Even though our seats appeared to be in the nosebleeds, it felt like VIP seats (we were just in front of it) with the complimentary beanies and excellent view. I want to come back and watch another Canucks game!

Rachel W.

Yelp
Easy to walk to in Downtown and surprisingly FANTASTIC sound for live shows. Will happily go to any show here when I have a click between Rogers Arena or The Tacoma Dome!

Lisa Marie M.

Yelp
A decent venue to watch concerts at. I've never been to any sports events here. The security is quite efficient, and they aren't power tripping dicks like at some places. The last concert I went to see, we had to pass through an airport type security gate - never experienced that at a concert before. The guy who was running it was quite funny, so it was all good. I really like the sky boxes here. Unlimited complementary drinks ( both alcoholic and non ) as well as food. I guess the type and quality depends on who the host / owner of the booth is. If you are paying for your drinks, be prepared to wait in long line ups, and pay almost 9$ a drink! Same goes with buying a concert shirt - long ass lines and sky high prices. I guess that due to the face there are no longer album sales, bands must make their money selling tickets, and pimping out over priced merch!

Bill T.

Yelp
Meh, this place was just okay. This was the 21st hockey arena I have visited and I saw it on the final day of a five-day, four-city, four-hockey game road trip (plane trip, actually) across western Canada. I wanted to get a nice photo of the outside but the arena is surrounded by roads and highways so it's not easy to get a good shot. It's an efficient use of space but it feels like the arena is being strangled by the roads. Where I was sitting I had to walk down a bunch of stairs on the outside and go into a particular entrance. There were limited food options in that area and I was particularly disappointed that there was no Smoke's Poutine place where the online map of Rogers Arena said there would be. Additionally, when I went to get a drink, they would just pour me a shot of whiskey and put ice in it....the guy told me he had to fill the cup up to the rim with some type of mixer. Well a shot of whiskey doesn't take up much of the cup so basically I paid $16 for a glass of water with some whiskey flavor. Come on, don't do that to people. Seats were not that comfortable (although I may have been spoiled by sitting at Rogers Place in Edmondton two days earlier....that place is a palace!). The energy in this place just wasn't there and there were a lot of Dallas Stars fans in attendance (that is who the Canucks were playing so it makes sense, but there were a LOT of them). I think this place is okay but it's showing its age and doesn't hold a candle to Rogers Place.

Mari E.

Yelp
I had good and bad experience at Roger's arena last night besides of music. Before the show, I purchaced medium size pop without ice. They poured till top and cold enough for two hours. I was happy with that. However in the middle of show, drunken girls next to me spilled something liquid on the floor and my bare feet with sandals got wet. It was gross. After the show, I went to bathroom and get tap water in the empty pop cup and left venue to rinse off my feet at outside. Then at door, one security stopped me what I had in my hands. As I was leaving, I had no idea why they needed to stop me and honestly I felt annoyed double about what happened on me. The security also should pay more attention who smokes weeds and vape in the venue.

Shonah M.

Yelp
Kevin Hart was so funny! Wasn't sure what to expect on this massive arena tour but he had everyone in stiches! Would have loved to post pics & snippets but strict - NO Recording rule in full effect! Police & ushers were all over kicking people out! If you needed to use your cell you had to go out into the lobby - anyone even just touching their phone got the wrath of security! Kevin had a few other comedians open up for him & that settled us in for what was to come - the mighty mouse himself - KH! The stage was set up right in the middle of the arena. The stages video screen was absolutely supreme high quality output. This was my first arena concert having only ever been to RA to watch concerts. I did feel that the decibel level could have been turned up a level or two - but overall sound was good. Only at the end of the show did KH allow everyone to pull out their phones & snap pics. The experience of watching a show without the glaring white front of cell phones flashing all over was amazing! Every show should be like this!!! Rodgers Arena - thank you for the 'no weed zone!' I'm seriously allergic to smoke so thank you for not torturing my eyes & lungs & allowing for a pleasant evening!!! When people have lit up at previous times here - it got real hazy. Great show indeed - if you can catch the Irresponsible Tour - check it out! #irresponsibletour #kevinhart

Yelp
I've been to a few Hockey games and concerts at Roger's Arena. I always have a great time. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. The arena has staff that is constantly on top of keeping the place clean and tidy. I was there last night and had a wonderful time, the cherry on top would have been if the Canucks won haha The food is on the expensive side for what it is, but it's part of the experience of being at the arena. Ya just gotta have a foot long hotdog with a side of Poutine and a beer. There is something for almost every appetite. They have a large retail shop and several small kiosks if you want to take home a souvenir or two. Located in Downtown Vancouver literally across the street from the Skytrain station. There are many other venues in the surrounding areas. Restaurants, shopping, pubs, clubs etc. So there is always something to do before and after. I can't wait to attend another event at Roger's!

Chris L.

Yelp
The arena in and of itself is great. It doesn't matter where you seat in the place it is a great view from anywhere when it comes to a sporting event. I've sat everywhere from row 1 to last row of upper bowl. Front row was great for action right around you but anything further was harder to see. My two favorite areas are the disabled seating on Level 300, And rows 10-13 lower bowl section 113 or so. Concerts are way better here than they are in other larger venues. The sound is great. Most of the concerts I have attended have been viewed from Level 300 disabled seating. However hard to see most acts unless you are on the floor in first 15 rows. Frankly the food is highly overpriced but there is quite the variety. Liquor prices are outrageous and I have yet to buy a drink due to that reason. Parking is also a gouge to your wallet so you can take the sky train to the Stadium station right across the street. Expect quite a wait to return from the event. So many people try to get on once leaving you could wait upwards of 45 mins. I always hit up an open restaurant to eat while waiting. Bathrooms are somewhat clean depending where you go and at what time. Team stores are always packed best to go on off days. The 50/50 draw is always worth it. One of the best hanging display screens I've seen.

Yelp
So as a Vancouver born and bred East Van type, I grew a Vancouver Canucks fan and try and make it out to at least a handful of games a year. Double digits even during the Presidents Trophy seasons. Even loved going to The Grizzlies Games back in the day for a Sprite Zone Friday. Man I miss the NBA locally, but knew at the time the city wasn't economically ready for it. So I've seen GM Place, now Rogers Arena through the years and the improvements the Aquilinis have made to the on ice projectors for the Canucks 50th season, is quite noticeable for the pregame ceremonies. The projection is vibrant and bright, clear and crisp. The arena even seems louder with the pump up music. Maybe a sound system upgrade happened too? Kudos for the on ice projectors that now make the ice the biggest movie screen I've seen of late. Nice work!

Yelp
We paid just under 4000 dollars for floor tickets to the Eagles concert. We saw maybe (being generous, 30 percent of it). Security kept standing in front of us distracting us. We tried speaking with them a number of times. After asking for a supervisor who did absolutely nothing, it seems we were now targeted. When my foot was slightly in the isle, the security kicked it 3 different times. I went to the lobby (missing more of concert) ask and waited for security management, who took me to a different seat; as soon as they left I was hassled again by security (as they said I was taking video, which I wasn't.) So now I am missing concert, not sitting with the rest of my family and paid over a month of wages for nothing, This was my nephews first concert and they completely ruined it for our whole family, so NO, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this venue.

Yelp
This review is for the arena tour. I did the tour on a whim. I came to the team store to buy some Canucks stuff, and at the last minute decided to do a tour. I figured, "how often am I going to be able to be in this arena of my favorite hockey team?" Boy, am I glad I did the tour. A quick note though: if you do the tour and purchase stuff at the team store, you get 10% off all your purchases. The price was very affordable imo. It was $12 CAD per person. The tour itself was a little over an hour. Our tour guide, Jacqui, was very knowledgeable and seemed to know all the ins and outs of this entire arena. We started the tour by meeting at the team store and from there she led us up to the top of the arena and slowly worked our way down to the floor. On the tour. we got to see the Canucks & visitors locker room (was told that this is very rare, so yay our group!), the alumni suite, Club 500, and many more behind the scenes stuff that goes on at Rogers Arena. The arena itself is 20 years old, and there isn't a rich history (if you're comparing it to, say, Madison Square Garden) where it makes this arena a must visit when in Vancouver, but if you're a Canucks fan, it is well worth the money to come and see the ins and outs of the arena where your favorite team calls home. At the conclusion of the tour, we were all given Canucks towels (Towel Power!!!).

Yelp
Came here for a hockey game last week, my first ever. I'm not particularly interested in the sport, so I never really made a special effort to catch a game live before. I attended a Backstreet Boys concert here some years ago, back when it was named GM Place. Can't recall much about that experience, so I'm just writing about my most recent hockey game visit. The arena is a short walk from the Stadium-Chinatown Skytrain station. Before entry into the compound, there is a metal detector screening. A good security measure to have, since large crowds gather here. I was impressed with how bright, clean and new everything inside looked! The concession selection is absolutely amazing here.. So many choices ranging from Triple-O's, Jugo Juice, Pizza Hut, Steamers, Carve sandwiches, to the standard hotdog, popcorn, and pop stalls and stands! There's even a snazzy Canucks bar serving up fancy alcoholic libations. Visitors to this arena are really spoilt for choice when it comes to concession selection! Prices are pretty standard for such event venues. We paid $4+ for a small bottle of plain water. It seems a bit of a rip but hey, the bottle is Canucks branded! Haha.. Besides the concession stalls, there are also some entertaining things to see and do in the arena, aside from the actual game itself. Lots of photo ops with exhibits and interesting sports displays, and a Canucks gear store selling fan merchandise. Overall, I had a great experience at this venue. Will be glad to return again for concerts or sports games in the future!

Yelp
3.5 Stars. Good Enough. Seems modern enough. Lots of bells and whistles. Easy to get into and around. Comfortable Seating. Technology and lighting approaches state of the art. Excellent sound system. Jumbo Tron is large, well positioned with a functional design. Good number of washrooms. Canucks gift shop is pretty cool. The free wifi actually does work!! Doors open an hour before the Canucks puck drop. Food and drinks are expen$ive and lack variety. There are no early bird food and drink specials such as can be found at the Saddledome in Calgary which offer $5.oo full size beers and well made full sized burgers for folks that show up early. Difficult to quickly and easily find coffee or tea for those that don't drink. I could not find coffee or tea. They do not take cash in the building. No cup holders in seats. The safety bars that run along seating in the upper deck blocks the view of shorter people. As always, for real. You be the judge.

Yelp
I'm not really sure how to rate an arena; it's not like you have a choice of which arena to go to. "Hey, honey, let's go to the arena tonight." "Okay, which one?" "Um, how 'bout Rogers?" "Um, okay." The good news is, in a world where large public venues are few and far between (this is probably a good thing), Rogers does it pretty well. It's conveniently located across from the SkyTrain station, so it's easy to park on the outskirts of town and mass-tran your way in rather than pay the inflated event parking fees (and fight traffic). The signage is good, too, so it's easy to find your way to your seats. There are a LOT of stairs to climb, though, even if you're on the 100 level. Of course they do have elevators if you need them. Finally, the sound is pretty decent for a large, cavernous venue - I recently saw Bob Seger and Journey there (not together, sadly - how awesome would that be?!) and the house was definitely rocking. I do need to make the obligatory complaint about food/drink prices, though. $4.50 for a SMALL bottle of water (like the same bottle you get for 99-cents at 7-Eleven) is outrageous. They also serve beer, wine, and a variety of other beverages. Of course the prices are crazy for those, too. Plus what's with not having cheese sauce for the pretzels? Do Canadians not like cheese sauce? Say it ain't so!

Yelp
Rogers Arena looks like an abandoned mall from the 90s with neon lights. They tried to update the dump by making a club that cuts off the flow of the lower concourse. To make matters worst they have alcohol free sections. Who watches a Canucks game sober? Better yet if you sit in a section where you can drink a beer, you will get to drink it out of the sippy cups they serve them in. Terrible experience. Only good part is that the Red Wings slaughtered the Canucks 6-1.

Yelp
I personally love going to shows/games/concerts at Rogers. You know you've made it to superstar status when you're performing at Rogers. I've been to Rogers quite a few times in the past year, so I feel like it's a good time to leave my 2 cents. The arena is spacious, bathrooms are clean, staff are helpful and friendly. The only thing I'm not the biggest fan of is the overpriced food and drinks, BUT they do give you lids for your drinks when you take them back to the arena. This is a good thing for people like me who tend to spill their drinks! It's also located in a really convenient area of Gastown, so there are plenty of restaurants and bars close by for before or after the concert/game. I'm sure I'll be seeing you soon Rogers.

Yelp
The home arena for my favorite NHL team the Vancouver Canucks and I have seen good concerts there like Metallica.

Yelp
Our big ticket sports and concert stadium where all the big shows play. If something is of mass appeal in regards to music, and wanting to score mass money, they are going to be playing here. And then you have the home of the Canucks, which is also this turtle shell of a stadium between two bridges. I've been to many games here, especially back in the day when we had that team called the Grizzlies (oh how I miss the NBA), and I can tell you it's always a great place to view these spectacles. There is a great view from either upper or lower bowl, and for hockey, sometimes the upper bowl is a better view if your one to watch how "the play develops" on the ice, as you can see all the strategies and movement. Also the new digital screen that wraps around the second bowl has been a great upgrade to the place to add light, and information and advertisements. As for concerts, I just was here in August for Michael Buble, and the audio in here was spectacular. This place carries great sound, and some great lighting when done right. Personally I have had a repeated great experience time and time again, the only thing you have to watch out for is the expensive food and booze in here, that is where it takes a toll on your pocket if you are craving something, it's just over marked up to the point of theivery, but that is how business is done. The other thing is the parking near the stadium, when an event is going on, $20 minimum will be the price to stash your four wheeled vehicle. What is real good is the proximity it is to the downtown core, and also that the 'Stadium' Skytrain station is right there, so public transit is an option, just note that if your coming here for an event, you may be squished like a sardine on the train.

Yelp
Rogers Arena is what this place is called now and it is an extremely well built stadium. I've had the opportunity to watch concerts, hockey games as well as comedy shows and each time the set up is great. Throughout the years, I've sat in different spots all over the stadium. The screens allow people in the nosebleed seats to have a better view of the performers, hockey games are extra exciting and the box seats are well serviced as well as comfortable. The only complaints are of course the prices for food and drinks. It is exorbitantly high and I'm sure they make a killing in this area.

Yelp
Great place to watch the Canucks or a concert. Went to a Canucks game tonight because my sister won a pair of tickets that she had to claim when we got there. We were supposed to find a Foodora representative but we couldn't find the individual for a good half hour. Went to guest services and they tried to be as helpful as possible. We finally were able to claim our tickets and watch the game. However because it took so long we didn't get into the arena and into our seats until the first period of the game was almost over. A word of advice. Don't bring your bag with you if possible. They won't let you into the arena and you'll have to drop off your bag in an outdoor area. The game at Rogers Arena was good. No complaints there. The food is a little pricey. And the atmosphere finally at a Canucks game needs work. Could be a lot better especially when the team isn't doing so well recently. Overall though we had a great night at the arena. Would definitely come back to watch another game if we won another pair of tickets. Recommended to come and watch a Canucks game for sure. Especially if you've never watched one. Canada's game!!

Yelp
I always get excited coming here. Either for a concert or for a Hockey game. I don't think I have been here for other than those two events. The surrounds sounds is like a blast. If you are here watching a Canucks game any seats are good seats. Guess you have to just keep your eye on the puck. If you are here for a concert sometimes its best to find out where is the front of the stage and where is the back. I was at the U2 concert on May 15 and one thing on ticketmaster and on anywebsite seating chart they don't specify the front and or back of the stage. But overall the concert was fun and great. As well, Its always about the atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back. :-)

Yelp
I have been here a few times for a variety of events, mainly for Canucks hockey games. I remember when I first moved up here going to my first Canucks game the day after I arrived and being amazed by the outside of the building (because of it being in the middle of the city) as well as the inside. I love that there's a wide variety of things to eat and drink because I've been to sports arenas where the selection was very lackluster. From burgers and fries to pizza to Indian food... there's something for everyone's tastes here. What I dislike however is that the seats are a tight squeeze and depending on the event, the concessions on the 300 level are closed and the selection is minimal. You either have to go down to the 100 level, stick with the basic arena snacks (pretzels, popcorn, hot dogs, etc.) or just not eat there at all. But these aren't enough to deter me from going because I mainly go for Canucks games or am sitting in the lower bowl (100 level) for other events.

Yelp
The boyfriend and I went on a summer Pacific Northwest road trip from LA. We didn't necessarily have an itinerary, but we knew we wanted to see Rogers Arena. Because it was August, we were unable to attend a game. We did however, stop by for photos and a trip to the team store. First off, the stadium is in a very central location. We found convenient metered parking and walked around the neighboring BC Palace, as well. I always feel a little tentative when entering a division rival's home turf, especially after seeing photos from 2011 SCF. I prepare by mentally creating a list of retorts. I had Game 5 of 2012 Playoffs in my back pocket, locked and loaded. Luckily, we were warmly greeted by several store employees. When I expressed my relief to them one replied, "We're all friends in the offseason." Since attending a game at United Center, I started gifting pint glasses to my beer-guzzling boyfriend. I kid. He mostly drinks water from them. We had a couple choices from the impressive two-story team store, but settled on a glass with a mesh jersey pattern. It was a little hard to take a good photo of the arena due to an obstructed view from the train. I'm still nervous about attending a Kings game here, but I won't let a few bad apples spoil it for me.

Yelp
I am a Canucks season tickets holder so I frequent Rogers arena on a regular basis. I am basing my review on my experience during the canucks games, as I have never attended any other events at this venue. Concession and food and beverages services that are available during canucks games-- As one would expect , food and drinks are not cheap. $8 for the cheapest can of beer (Molson Canadian), and a $9 or more for the more premium kind of beers. It can quickly add up and you might want to consider taking out a bank loan for beverage purchases if you frequent hockey games and like your drinks. If you do the math, it can certain add up quickly. Same goes for the food. $15 for a burger combo , $7 for a slice of pizza...well you get the idea. My advice is to eat at Costco across the Street. Can't blame $1.5 for a hot dog and a pop. Parking--if you get there an hour before puck drop, you might be able to find metered parking near by, around Chinatown. If you park at the nearby parking lots, it will be expensive most likely at least $25 per vehicle. I usually take the skytrain as there is a skytrain station right across from the arena. The atmosphere during Hockey games is rather underwealming. Canucks sucks right now so that might have something to do with it. I notice a lot of fans like to chitchat while the game is on. Maybe they get their tickets dirt cheap and just show up at the game to socialize and talk about the weather..i don't care , but it is annoying to the max when people like me are trying to catch the game. So if you are one of those people--shame on you and please stay home next time. There are actually Hockey fans that show up to watch their team play.

Yelp
Had a chance to sit near centre ice (NHL hockey), thanks to some baller connections. The view is so much more clear near the rink. Just a bit better than watching a hockey game on a HDTV. The food and drinks are still a ridiculous rip-off, so be sure to pre-drink or go post-drinking afterwards.

Yelp
I've been to all but 7 NHL arenas, and this ranks one of the nicest ones. Sadly, my own team's arena is the lamest, but that's another review. Located next door to a Costco is Rogers Arena. Since my last visit (before the Olympics) they've upgraded the arena. For one thing, the prices shot up! I remembered paying less than $100 back when it was GM Place, and my tickets for section 121 came to $190 (my group rate with the taxes). Holy moly! Well, aside from the sticker shock, the arena is very nice. There's a good variety of food, and the view from 121 was excellent. I liked the opening sequence of the pre game show, and the LED lights were amazing. I wish my arena had those... and a nicer jumbo tron. The Canucks fans were not happy my Ducks were beating them, and started making lude gestures. Classy, right? (Not). The ushers, called "Hosts" were nice. Many fans and ushers came to us, asking if we were really from Anaheim. We politely said "Yes". Well at the end, my Ducks beat the Canucks, 5-1, and as we were heckled, all I could say to the fans was "See you at Playoffs". Oh wait. The Canucks aren't in post season. Oops.

Yelp
I waited ages to finally watch a game here and when I did it was an awesome experience! The arena was pretty huge, but super easy to access from downtown. We took a cab here and it didn't take long at all from the four seasons. Unlike the Air Canada Center traffic around the Rogers arena seemed quite manageable. Inside the arena is nice and pretty modern. Also some of the cleanest rest rooms I have ever seen in a hockey arena! The place is pretty spotless especially compared to places like Rexall center. The food inside was also a decent surprise with pretty good tasting fast food and pretzels. The beer was also reasonably priced as well, I was expecting closer to $16 a can, but it was only around $10. I had an awesome time watching the Canucks against the Sharks and I can't wait to come back here for more Hockey in the future!

Yelp
Experienced Rogers Arena for the first time in October 2018 for a Vancouver Canucks game. The area is easy to get to in downtown Vancouver. It is located very close to Parc Vancouver and other restaurants. While we chose to take a cab from our hotel, there did appear to be plenty of parking. Once inside the arena we noticed that it looks much older than other arenas such as American Airlines Center and the Air Canada Centre (Scotiabank Arena now). We had nosebleed level seats and were only given the option of walking up the stairs. I have zero issues with walking up the stairs, but we saw a few elderly people who were struggling. Some signage towards elevators would be great as I did not notice any escalators. The seats were so close together that my knees were touching the seat in front of me (I'm 5'0") and I was shoulder to shoulder with my neighbour. It made for a not so comfortable experience watching the hockey game. The alcohol and food prices are similar to that of any other NHL arena. The view from our seats was great though. Despite being in the 300's, we could still see everything, no obstructed view. While it is not my favourite arena I would come back because, hockey!

Sarah W.

Yelp
The only time we have been here was an invitation to the Business suites. The staff is efficient in getting you through the security at Gate 10 The suite are nice on the 3 floor, if you have an invite to the 5th floor, keep in mind the steps from the suite is very steep and the glass partition seems low so if you are not careful, your MIGHT fall over to the rows of seats below. I have vertigo and I couldn't step out to watch the game. Luckily they have TVs in the suite. The food provided is ok, baby hotdogs which they always forget the condiments much later, chicken wings, ribs. The 50/50 volunteers will come to the suite to sell their tickets but let your room attendant know.

Jason R.

Yelp
I have only been to this arena for Canucks games. I've always had a great time, the fans are very welcoming to visitor fans. The food is nothing to write home about, pretty standard variety and pricing. I gave it one less star because of the upper level seating for hockey games. It's really hard to see over the person in front of you if they're not sitting back in their seat, which can be very hard to do during an especially exciting game. I only sat up there once, but now just stick to the lower bowl which doesn't have that issue.

Anita C.

Yelp
Decent stadium with decent concessions. I really appreciated the Jugos juice smoothie stand! Beats the hot dogs, popcorn, and soda. We were here for a hockey game (Canucks got their asses handed to them!). We were in the nosebleed seats and it was still a pretty good view from where we were.
