From the start we could tell that this would be a unique experience. The bungalows are in a beautiful jungle setting. We stayed in the Superior bungalow, and were amazed by the creativity, attention to detail, uniqueness (outdoor bathroom), quality of the woodwork, and the incredible view from the balcony. In addition, it was great value! |We were at Rohotu Fare on its 20th anniversary, and Nir invited us to celebrate the event with his family, along with the other guests. It was such a kind gesture, and we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality, conversation, food, music and Tahitian dances. The celebration made our stay even more memorable. |We look forward to returning to Rohotu Fare!

Nir and his family went above and beyond any hotel host I've ever stayed with and helped make our Anniversary and Birthday so memorable! He secured reservations and activities as needed, and didn't over-recommend. He drove me to the bakery twice to pick up a cake, took us grocery shopping, and shared a vast wealth of knowledge about the islands - past and present. The grounds are a Polynesian paradise, with intricate hand carved stone figurines at every turn. Rooms are perfectly positioned on the hillside with a view of both the lagoon and the mountain. We feel incredibly lucky to have experienced such an amazing week at Rohotu Fare.

This place will blow you away. I have never before stayed in a place where was so evident the passion, soul, and attention to detail involved in its creation and tending. Pictures truly do not do it justice. The bungalows are situated within a botanical garden full of exotic plants and statues. The living quarters themselves are similarly interspersed with artifacts and curios such that every nook and cranny is occupied by something interesting - all building up to one big experience. Later in our vacation, we stayed at a more expensive over-water resort, which seemed disappointingly soulless and kitschy by comparison. We made use of the kitchen in our quarters every night, and every day went to Viatape, and/or Matira beach, both of which are an easy ride of the bikes available pro-bono from Rohotu. The service and rooms were phenomenal as well, the most comfortable beds we slept in all vacation. The staff was much more attentive than we, as Americans, were accustomed to, but it was not at all unwelcome.

This is our fifth time visiting Rohotu Fare, and will be coming back in the future. It is located on a hillside with amazing views of Povaie Bay. Tikis and sculptures line the path through the forest to the bungalows which are decorated with native decor and with relics from the golden age of travel. Nir, the owner and his family are a wealth of information and take excellent care of his guests. This is the place to be for a Polynesian adventure.

The attention to detail is Amazing. A jungle bungalow experience, close to restaurants and shopping. The outside bathrooms are gorgeous, waterview decks all with sunset views. A true Polynesian experience. You may never want to leave the room!

My husband and I had the most superb, second to none experience at Rohotu Fare. The outdoor jungle garden and living spaces is beautifully crafted and curated, steeped in Polynesian flora, fauna and art. There is a sense of total luxurious privacy, yet if there is anything we needed, hosts Nir and Tiare were happy to help. We stayed for two weeks and each day, we discovered something new w|to delight us. When we visit Bora Bora again, we will not hesitate to return to Rohotu Fare. What a beautiful place you have created! Balm for the heart and soul. Thank you so much Tiare and Nir for helping to make our holiday one to treasure forever.

Nir has created a Masterpiece for a private Jungle-like Get-away. 4 Bungalows hid in a 4 acre tropical garden filled with unique sculpture creates a fitting ambiance to the Allure of the ultimate Bora Bora experience. Spacious A/C bungalows are quality construction, with hardwoods from around the world, superb craftsmanship in construction, space filled with tasteful romantic sculpture. His Signature Out-door Shower is a real treat (a Tarzen-Jane persona). The bungalows are elevated about 200 meters above sea-level to create terrific views of the bay, and faces West for gorgeous sunsets to enjoy on the balcony. Above all, Nir's customer service and personal attention is outstanding: arranges tours with local guys, advice on best restaurants, unique things to do, etc. We made a terrific choice to SKIP the $1K-plus a Night over-the-water bungalow experience at the atoll's high-end resorts and BOOK an 8-night stay at Rohotu for 1/3 the price but with 2X the true Bora Experience, a much-wiser Return on Investment. I agree with the all the positive details of the other reviews. The Rohotu-provided photos are totally accurate and represent the true state of this property. In summary, this place is a Gem for the "World Traveler" wanting a unique Romantic Exotic Experience in French Polynesia. - Michael from Alabama
