It might have been a place you just pass, a bit anonymous along the road... If you stay, you also might be surprised. Friendly staff, really good dinner and good wine. This place is older than most of us, but is still authentic - but with some modern interior.. like a really nice bathroom with a bathtub. You can see photos from older days in the lounge, or just enjoy a local beer outdoors. We will be back!

Nice hotel in a rural setting near Boverdal. A great home base for exploring Jotunheimen. Nice breakfast each day and the option for dinner, although we chose to go out.

Neat, old place that has been kept up very well. There is a quiet vibe here, which is exactly what we wanted. Note that it is several minutes outside Lom, make sure you are OK with that. A+ location if your goal is to explore the area. If you want to be able to easily walk around Lom, you should stay in the town. Excellent breakfasts each day. We had dinner one night, which was good but takes some time to get through the courses, so factor that in. Great staff.

Absolutely enchanting place. Splendid experience. However, I do not recommend it for more than a 1-2 nights stay. Rooms are an immersive experience in the past but pretty uncomfortable and expensive. So it’s fun to sleep for one night in a stable but it can become unpleasant if you stay for 4 nights like we did. Dinner is good. Definitely not amongst the best we had in the area but worth trying.

We had a very lovely stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional and everyone on staff was super friendly! The hotel had a dog friendly room available, so that was a plus for us traveling with our pup. Furthermore, breakfast was wonderful and we almost skipped dinner but read some other reviews stating it was worth it and we can confirm that doing at least one dinner here is 100% worth it! The chef was phenomenal. We highly recommend this hotel! It is comfortable, cozy, and a luxury experience!

Just fantastic, a place the you will remember. Excellent service, the room was very nice, breakfast and dinner of very high quality and the location is beautiful. Having a coffee outside the main building is like travelling back in time.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room is clean and organised, with a historic atmosphere. The food was fantastic, both dinner and breakfast. Guests are also able to pack away sandwich for lunch - a very thoughtful offering. Maja and Tage are great chefs and hosts, as well as the team of professional, friendly and polite colleagues. We’d like to come back and would recommend Roisheim to anyone.

On my seven day road trip from Bergen to Trondheim and return, this was an amazing place to stay. My room (the queen's suite) was spacious and lovely. The evening dinner and matched wines were delicious. The best cooked venison I have ever had. I loved the ambience of the place, steeped in hillwalking history and art. The accommodation is stylistically simple, but finished to a very high spec and ever so comfortable. The breakfast was superb - and the invite to take away a packed lunch and a flask of coffee welcome.|My only regret is I stayed here just one night. But the is easily fixed.|Loved it.

Yelp
The Hotel: I had a very pleasant stay at Røsheim. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was charming. It was tastefully and appropriately decorated to match the age of the place. I particularly liked the upright wooden bathtub and was pleased that there was enough hot water to fill it up (which took some time). While I thought the restaurant was a little pricey (for my budget) I ended up eating there 2 of the 5 nights I was there. On the other hand I thought the rooms were very reasonably priced and they had 4 different priced rooms to offer. As I mention below, the rooms may have been cheaper since I was there in September. The Restaurant: The food I had at Røsheim was the best I had in Norway on my three week trip! Truly exceptional food with service to match. There is a set menu and you can get all four courses for 600 NOK (around $72) or just 3 courses for 500 NOK (around $60). Keep in mind that this doesn't include any drinks. Add some wine and your dinner bill could easily be more than your room bill. Keep in mind that I was there towards the end of the high season so prices might have been less.
