Roka Plaza Hotel Boutique

Unique hotel and restaurant in the center of Ambato. One of the few buildings spared by the great earthquake of 1949. The very nice rooms are grouped on a floor above the restaurant; consequently you can hear the restaurant until about 10 p.m. Very good cuisine; very good drinks in the two bars in the hotel. Rooms with hairdryer and TV.

This is one of the best places I have ever visit, the service was incredible. People were so polite room is incredible. The decoration is spectacular. Every single staff member is polite. Where can I have 1 million stars for this place by the way I ate in the restaurant at night I left my card. They kept the card for me in return next morning they save me thank you.

This is a charming downtown hotel set in an old building arranged around an internal courtyard. We stayed in Room 5, which was very light — note that some of the rooms may only have windows into the courtyard, and therefore not as splendidly light as ours was. The staff were friendly and solicitous for our wellbeing and comfort. Breakfast was excellent, with cappuccino and fresh herb teas to accompany eggs, homemade bread, yogurt and fresh fruit. Lunch and dinner were also first class, and the ambience of the restaurant is great.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The beds were extremely cold, and there was NO door to the bathroom. The breakfast was alright, but you could get better out on the street. If you are coming with more that two people, I do not recommend. The staff were nice, but I walked into my room to a maid Making my bed. Out of 10, I would give it a 5. 💩

Lovely restaurant with excellent service. If you order the "Lomo" steak dish, you'll get to see the waiter give a firery presentation. My party of 5 adults loved all the varied dishes we got. The fruit shakes are really good. This place is a little more expensive than other Ambato restaurants but you get what you pay for: great food and atmosphere.

We stayed here 2 nights over the New Year’s break. Given it is centrally located we were a little concerned it would be loud, but were pleasantly surprised it was so peaceful.||Clean facilities and a large breakfast. Staff were friendly and our family felt very comfortable. I’d highly recommend

Nice hotel in an old building. Ambiance is good. Staff are friendly even if not everyone speaks English. Breakfast is good but you can only choose from their menu and that's it. If you want to have something else they'll charge you for it.

The place share a cozy and classical colonial spanish environment. All this together with the exquisite food , in my opinion is the best place for a date or an special occasion celebration. Besides, their waiters are the best I have seen.
