Rokuzan Art Museum

Everyone goes to the wasabi farm in Azumino, but this museum should not be missed if you appreciate art! I loved that the museum was funded by the people of the area in honor of their beloved artist. Interesting grounds with a few different buildings.

This is the museum of the genius sculptor "Rokuzan" who died young. There are not many sculptures, but they are all wonderful. It's a little disappointing that the explanations are mostly in Japanese. The poems written by Kotaro Takamura are touching and beautiful.

Entrance is ¥700. English pamphlet is available. Car parking is across the museum for free.

Without any plan to travel to this place, and drop by at Hotaka Station. From Hotaka Station open google maps and found this museum. Hit the right spot. It is small museum. But the autumn view very nice. From Hotaka Station about 7 minutes walk. For Infection prevention, you need to wear mask, disinfectant alcohol and write down your contact number. The entry 700 YEN. The art of sculpture by Moriye Ogihara (Rokuzan) or enjoy the view of building and its garden.

Small and not many explanations in english but interesting sculptures, pictures and paintings.

49年ぶりに訪れました。初めて行った時の記憶が曖昧なのか建物が増えていたような感じを受けましたが、蔦が絡まる趣きある姿は変わっていませんでした。ゆっくりと丁寧に見て回りました。建物のいろいろな所が素敵でまた来て良かったです。

荻原守衛と関連する人々の作品を展示している美術館です。 実物の彫刻を見ると迫力が桁違いでした。 建物も素晴らしいですね！

「碌山美術館」 2013年８月妻と安曇野を旅行した。 此処のお土産屋で赤土で作った教会の模型のようなものをお土産とした。今でも埃をかぶって我が家の展示品の一つだ。 ブロンズ像より庭の小さい水差し池やレンガ造りのツタが絡まる協会が気になった。荻原碌山先生ごめんなさい。 ブロンズ像はロダンの小粒を見ているような感じだった。後で調べてみたらロダンが先生だったそうで、なあるほどと思った。 昼は「そば上條」保高5256-1で食べた。 その後「田淵行男記念館」(昆虫)南穂高５０７８−２、「山岳美術館」穂高有明３６１３を巡った。宿泊はリゾートハウス「クラ―レット」穂高牧2354-1
