We stayed here for our friends' Wedding which was held and hosted here. The whole stay was amazing- great food and lovely company. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They worked so hard to make sure everything was just right. They worked a very long day on the Wedding day serving the Danish tradition of Hot Dogs at 2am the following morning and were up doing the breakfast at its usual time. Their service puts that of our UK compatriots to shame. Thank you.

We came here to have dinner in the restaurant, and didn't stay the night. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had seats with a view over the landscape, where we could see deer grazing in the fields. The food was quite excellent, especially the appetizer. I was greatly disappointed in the fact that the main course had no garlic or onion! Who cooks without either?! The deer meat we had as part of the main course was flavorless. No amount of salt and pepper could make it better. Perhaps my experience was the result of my mushroom allergy. They would have likely helped enhance the flavors of the meat if I could eat them. I would recommend that the chef finds an alternative solution for the meat when guests have mushroom allergies ( such as rams onion/ ramsløg).

Fine rooms. Super professional waiters, that don't try to get attention, but do a perfect job. Great! All in all a really nice place.

A real nice place in the Danish country side, close to the very north. We found it by accident looking for a place to stay on our drive from the Netherlands to Norway - a pet friendly place. This did lead us to this hotel, in the nature of beaten tracks. Yes - the hotel is in some way old fashioned and some parts could be better (like the bath rooms), but the overall friendliness of the local staff, their consequent use of sustainable food make it a great place to stay- and one of the most pet friendly places we have seen. And the hotel gives you the feeling of visiting a family place, not one of the hotel factories.

I have no bad comments about this place. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is AMAZING, the rooms are clean and cozy. We only stayed there for 2 nights, but we are definitely coming back. The check in and out is easy and quickly. ||||The last night, we wanted to use the poolarea at 11 am, but the pool closed at 7 am. There were so nice and opened it only for us, and also the Sauna. ||||The area is greet - right next to the forest and the lime mines. Also, If you visit during summer og spring, the hotel offers minigolf, the coolest field I have ever seen!!||||I have only good things to say. I recommend this place highly.

More than 25 years ago my wife and I got married and celebrated the event at this hotel. This time we arrived with our grown up children very late in the morning with snow coming down rapidly. So beautiful!||The hotel looks like itself which for some people may be a negative; the rooms are being updated. It is the only negative I can possible think of. And the again the beds were comfortable, shower small but working well and there is enough space overall. ||The location is unique; on the edge of one of Denmark’s largest forest. There are mountain bike routes, running and walking routes in really pretty and hilly terrain. ||After an active day this hotel is an oasis with great food, wine and well stocked bar (lots of dark rums - my favourite) plus the staff is really friendly in the ‘old fashion’ way - it is real. ||We will be back for more of Denmark’s unspoiled nature - why would we not(?)

Pittoresk old fashionned hotel. Very nice situation 20 minutes from the highway. Friendly service. Tasty breakfast. The rooms are small and very basic, no phonic isolation at all and the bathroom needs urgently renovation. Not so a good experience for a budget of 135€ / night / 1 person. Why are there still Covid protection mesures in the restaurant??
