My vego breakky was super yummy! It kept me going for most of the day, was barely hungry after eating it! I really enjoyed the hot chocolate so I ordered another cup aha. It was nice and warm to suit the weather as it was rainy!

I love the food and menu at Roma Bar; their fish is one of the most fantastic dishes!

I was in Darwin just 2 nights but ended up having breakfast here both times. Food was fresh and fast, staff were lovely, and the coffee was great. As well as the usual egg/toast/avo combinations there’s a healthier almond and pepita granola (which was superb), oats with banana and berries, a mango chia pudding, and delicious banana pancakes. If it’s too steamy you can eat indoors, but everyone else is enjoying the Darwin lifestyle outside on the covered veranda.

I visit Darwin semi-regularly for work, and having driven in for the last three weekends, I’ve had brekky and coffee here religiously. Great atmosphere, met by friendly staff with big grins, amazing coffee and food. The Mont Blanc iced coffee hits the spot AMAZINGLY.

Coffee only: super service and well made coffee...do you know your arabica from your robusta? No, nothing to do with Syria or Dolly. The arabica bean dominates Cafe coffee while robusta is cheaper and is in many powdered sorts... One big difference is the caffeine, higher in robusta. If you're still reading, I raise this as my heart is still on the precipice of arrhythmia many hours after my coffee. Yes, I have a double shot daily. From the slightly empty mid palate and my hyperactivity, I'd say there's robusta in the mix here... just in case you do or don't want the meth hit it brings. Geez coffee is pricey in Darwin!

We had the Eggs Benedict. Food was okay the hollandaise sauce was so salty. I felt like I dipped my mouth in the ocean. Great atmosphere. Loved the plants by the balcony.

Yelp
I have the gado-gado, and I had a long black, both were pretty good and beyond what I was expecting

Yelp
Delicious coffee and hot chocolate. Ordered a BLT and raisin toast. Both delicious. Would come back here for coffee and breakfast again. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Seating inside and out. Pretty busy during breakfast hours. Lots of flyers posted for local events (and all current) suggesting the establishment is pretty well frequented. Service was pleasant and timely. We found stuff on the other menu everyone liked - pretty standard Aussie fare, it seems to me, and well prepared. As Americans, we really enjoyed the Australian style bacon with the breakies but not so much the Australian style pancakes. Also the fresh squeezed orange juice was a big winner. Only 4 stars because many of the chairs are showing wear and tear. Also, while the complimentary (and self serve) water is better then just tap water, it is not always available. Update: we liked Roma so much we went back again another day, but this time at 10am on Sunday. Peak time. If you go on Sunday, go early or go for lunch.

Yelp
I was tempted away by the Cav across the road last time I was here, so thought I'd give Roma a go this time. As I wait for my food I can tell you the following: ¤ Super busy but good friendly efficient service ¤ Nice buzzing vibe, unobtrusive music at chatting level ¤ Coffee was just OK. Weak & my soy piccolo had the unmistakable milky tinge that crops up when the frother pipes aren't wiped properly. ¤ Really uncomfortable: I've moved from a tall stool with no foot support, to a hard bench with a pipe against my back in an icy wind tunnel outside, to a soft chair but with a low back inside. I feel like moving again but that would be a dick move. Mumma needs lumbar support! ¤ LOVVVVVVE the unexpected political/Commie art around the place! ¤ Definitely not a 1 $ rating as stated in Yelp. $16 breakfasts, $12 burgers. And i just realised my coffee must have been $4.50! OK will update when my food arrives/I eat it... I'm torn. The fetta was fried and AMAZING, I've never had fried fetta before. I asked for hot sauce & they brought out a really good home made one. But the tiny serving of mushrooms taste so much like bacon I can't eat them. (OBVIOUSLY cooked in the bacon fat, see pic for serving size) Meat lovers will love this place but I'd call it non-veg friendly even though the menu begs to differ. So I essentially have just paid over $20 for adequate coffee, two small slices of toast, a small tomato sliced in halves and not fully baked, a slice of amazing fried fetta and a handful of baby spinach leaves. And delicious hot sauce. Hrrrmph.

Yelp
Breakfast at the Roma Bar after 15 years away and much has changed - for the better. No longer the narrow groovy Greek cafe, it is now a light filled more industrial vibe but still great coffee and food and a cool menu. Gerry and I had the half breakfast, a sensible option in these days of profligacy. And there's gluten free toast without fuss. The bacon was great quality and cooked perfectly and the egg fresh and poached just right. We were too early for the cold drip coffee at 9:30 (hello. Get started earlier guys!) but the espresso was great anyway and Gez enjoyed his flat white. After Gez was charged $6.50 for coffee at the airport we were pleased with the prices at Roma Bar. Best of all I just enjoy the sweet well trained staff and the cool atmosphere. We were inside in the air con but the locals were happy enough on the outside deck.

Yelp
Had brunch with family- kids happy with selection:-) oldest got banana pancakes- big portion, tasty! Youngest went for half brekkie. Wanted egg done to his peculiar likings a fresh tomato instead:-) friendly staff adjusted accordingly:-) Me and husbie had veggie omelette - great taste & fresh ingredients!! Good selection of drinks. Long black good but should have asked for mug or takeaway cup to get more water. Will be back!

Yelp
Apparently this is a Darwin establishment:) So we decided that during our short visit to Darwin, it made sense to go to "the" breakfast establishment for our first meal of the day. There is outside or inside seating and the place was buzzing with families, couples and friends getting together for Sunday breaky. Plenty of options for veg, meat and sweets. I ordered a delicious veggie breakfast with spinach and mushrooms and grilled tomatoes. It was a delicious meal to complement my large cappuccino that I was happy to finish off before breakfast arrived. My husband was not so lucky. He order the croissant breakfast sandwich and that is what he got, he was a bit disappointed that it was just the sandwich on the plate with nothing else... Everyone else was happy with their meal, sorry Hubs!

Yelp
Best coffee in the Top End! Couple that with super friendly service and you have a winner. Love it!

Yelp
Wonderful cafe with nice outdoor seating and yummy food! I got the Flamenco for breakfast & it was delicious! And the warm summer breeze was nice added bonus. The girls working here are super friendly as well.

Yelp
Haven't been here before, first impression was nice, decor, music & staff friendly. However having to wait 40mins for our meal was not impressive. I could understand if they were busy but where were the people that caused such a delay in our meal??? When we did eventually receive our meal, which was bacon & eggs, whatever they cooked on prior to our meal wasn't cleaned off. I ended up having onion & meat stuck to the bottom of the eggs & the eggs were covered in what looked to be black oil I have given 3 stars only due to the friendly staff
