Roman's Pizza

I stopped by this place while working, my client was craving pizza, so I had to take her there. Almost every conversation was about this place lol! So she got her wish today. Upon arriving I noticed the beautiful flower pots and outside seating area. When walking in I noticed each table had tablecloths and was also decorated with flowers. There were four to five chairs at each table. The environment was quiet, peaceful, clean, and very spacious. Lucy was our cashier and cook. She was very polite and knowledgeable with any questions you had about the pizza and price. I believe she was the owner. I highly recommend you to check this place out if you are tired of the same type ole of pizza and would like to try a different style of pizza 🍕 come to Romans you won't be disappointed 😉

I was next door using the laundromat and I decided to try this place out. I’m so glad I’d did, I’ve yet to find a better pizza place around here. You can tell they care about the quality of their food and it’s so full of flavor. Love it! Plus the staff is always sweet & kind.

My partner and I were craving pizza really badly, and I had been dying to check this place out. We ordered a pepperoni, jalapeño and anchovy pizza. I was nervous, because I had gone to a little Caesar’s about a month ago and spent that whole night vomiting. I am super sensitive to low quality meats/oils. The pizza at Roman’s was AMAZING (and less expensive!). Delicious. The bread and sauce are so tasty and the pepperoni! I would definitely order it again and they now have a regular customer. The gentleman at the front was so kind to me, and I wish I could have stayed to talk to him. The least I can do is write an excellent review and recommend them to everyone I know.

Large, Thin Crust, Chicken, Green Olives, Artichokes, white sauce.. $21 (white sauce and chicken cost extra) Looked too small, without as many veggies as we would normally like… the flavor, consistency, and quality ingredients completely made up for what we initially thought would be a three star pizza. Nope, definitely coming back and getting this again.

The pizza was amazing!! It was everything you would expect from a small pizzeria! From the crust to the freshness of the toppings it was great! The cheese pull you get from the fresh and hot pizza is one of the best! Didn’t get a picture because I was ready to dive in!!!

We ordered a traditional round pepperoni pizza and some cheese bread. The pizza was good, sauce was sweet, the dough was thick and dense, pepperonis under the cheese. The garlic bread was thinner and dense, it was good but not great.

Pizza tastes really amazing. The crust is perfect to its size I love the taste it is really really good , the environment it’s nice and quiet. I would suggest to go there and taste the pizza.

It is a local pizza store, ran independently by Anvari family. They are very friendly and nice people, greeted well and helped with the menu and made sure how I like the pizza to be made. Pizza was great, tasted good, the crust was good too, but pizza can definitely use little more sauce to it. My actual rating is 3.5, if the crust is little more of flavors and use little sauce to the pizza, it would be great.

The pizza was excellent and very well priced. They also have specials, and the owner is very friendly and makes great pizza!

Got a medium pizza for pick up. It was dang good pizza. The crust was a little too chewy. They gave me a military discount.

The people that own this pizza restaurant are simply the nicest folks! The pizza is always cooked to perfection with nice crispy bottom and bubbly browned cheese. You can't beat the price and flavor is so much better than similarly priced corporate places like Domino's Etc. Support local and definitely give this place a try!

Delicious pizza and great hospitality! We don't typically dine in, but we were out running errands and decided to grab a medium Supreme pizza for lunch. I watched them ask every pickup order if the pizza was to their liking while showing them the pizza before they paid and left. It's obvious they love their pizza and want you to too!

This place used to have pretty good pizza. However, the last time I went, their dough came directly from a prepackaged pizza and had very little flavor. Pretty disappointing

Started an order. The menu prices in the pictures is no longer accurate!!!!! A large 2 topping is now 15.99. A large supreme is now $21.99. We were ordering a supreme and 2, 2 topping pizzas one with alfredo sauce. They now charge $1 for substituting alfredo sauce. Our subtotal was over $60. That's before a tip. Romans has been our go-to for pizza because it was ok and cheap! For just a little more, I can go get really GOOD pizza. Too bad they decided their pizza is as good as all the rest....they lost our business.

I had a craving for pizza, so wanted to try a new place. Unfortunately I was left unfulfilled here. The guy taking the orders was nice and everything, and I ordered 1 medium pepperoni and jalapeno pizza and bread sticks. The price wasn't bad, at $14 for a medium 2 topping and bread sticks, but the bread sticks were high disappointing (pretty much dough and what we referred to at an old job of mine as "magic dust"... Essentially garlic and a few seasoning made into a powder and sprinkled over it (pretty much the same way pizza inn does their bread sticks. The flavor of the crust wasn't all that great, though the pepperoni and jalapeno was pretty good on it. So, if I'm in the area and have a pizza craving, next time I'll try to find some place else to fulfill that craving, as much as I love supporting small businesses.

Really enjoyed our experience. First off, it was nice to do business with someone who seemed to genuinely appreciate it. Calling in to place our order with a pleasant person who was kind and cared about details these days is rare. Our order was carefully executed, we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. Loved the cheese and supreme and even the salad was great. We will make ourselves regulars. Nice to support a local business that actually respects their customers. Prices are good too.

I love pizza and was sad that pizza snob closed. I like thick crust and quality it y toppings. I was skeptical about this place because it is inexpensive, but the pizza amazing! Similar to TJs pizza, but "healthier" tasting lol. Will definitely be a regular here for my pizza desires ~*~ I got pepperoni and jalapeños. Great choice

Yum! I cannot wait to go back the owner was so friendly and went above and beyond in service. The cheese bread is so good. The ingredients are so fresh I would swear there is a garden on the back. The cheese strung out like what they on tv but never really happens on the chain pizza I had thin crust, beef and onion. Husband had regular crust, mushroom and Canadian bacon. Try it! You will not regret it!

The pizza was amazing the flavor of the sauce was a1 how they placed the pepperonis in the middle of the sauce and the cheese mmmm i lived here my whole life and this is the first time trying them what have i been doing all this time this place is family owned and they been here for 33 yrs the owner took our order super nice guy please guys give this shop a try there a reason they stood the test of time

This pizza is delicious! I like to try all the "top-rated" pizzas in the area but this one is my winner. It's better than crooked crust or mellow mushroom. Seriously walk in and smell the high quality put into all the food. If the love that Spongebob puts into a Krabby Patty went into a pizza, this is what it would taste like. Also fresh cut ingredients!

Here from out of state to move my college student in and wanted something local. Owner very friendly and accommodating. Son had a medium meat lover's and ate the whole thing!!! I got a medium thin crust supreme with extra sauce...very good. Not East Coast pizza that I am used to but would definitely recommend!!!

Overpriced pizza with extremely limited ingredients, charged for added extra ingredients however if they were added I didn't notice.

So I tried Roman's for the first time!! Only been here almost four years!! I'm so glad I did. I got a sausage and pepperoni pizza on regular crust!! You can tell the topping are quality toppings!! I was amazing!! Can't wait to try it again!! Next time I'll try the thin crust as I like going back and forth on regular and thin!!

Hands down the best local pizza I've ever had. The owner, Roman, is such an incredibly sweet guy as well as all of his employees. Incredibly fresh ingredients, and you cannot beat the price. My family and I usually eat here once a month and we haven't had a bad experience yet. Unless we move from Denton, I won't get pizza anywhere else. And, you're supporting a local business by eating here!

We've not been able to eat pizza for a couple of years due to my wife's digestive issues. We'd been regular Roman's Pizza customers for nearly two decades before this. Recently my wife was given the green light from her physician to eat dairy products in moderation. Today we decided to celebrate by ordering Roman's Supreme large $12.99 (advertised online) pizza. The woman that took our order never asked for payment or other verification and never mentioned the total amount. She only told me 20 minutes to pick up. The bill came to a $18.38 total! Even accounting for sales tax this is close to a whopping $5.00 jump in price!! When I calmly brought this up this woman got defensive. She told me many others have complained but the owners refuse or cannot be bothered updating their advertised prices and she only worked there and needed to collect $18.38! She told me to take this up with the owner. In hindsight, I should have refused this nearly one-third price hiked pizza especially since no information was exchanged on the phone and headed to our first choice Palio's Pizza instead!! This was a takeout order picked up by my husband, so I can't evaluate the service or ambiance. The pizza from Roman's used to be quite good. This time it tasted more like a frozen pizza. maybe like the crust was premade. The toppings were skimpy too. Something has changed.

I work locally and use Roman's pizza for large events (22 pies). They make it effortless and smooth. Great communication, very timely, just perfect! And the food is wonderful too! You can't go wrong, I highly recommend!!

Great pizza, great prices, outstanding service! I went here just as the Covid pandemic started. The cashier, who I assume was also the owner and cook, was masked. He even cleaned my credit card with sanitizer before handing it back to me. I waited for my pizza in my car. I planned on going back in to pick it up, but he brought it out to my car. This is the kind of small business we need to make sure we support through this crisis. They value and care about public safety in addition to providing great food. I don't live near them, but I'll definitely stop by for pizza when I'm in their area.

This pizza is the BEST pizza in my opinion. The ingredients taste fresh and the crust is always perfect. My husband likes thin I like thick and honestly they are BOTH so good. There's little to no grease like I can NOT sing this pizza places praises. Not only that but the owner is a saint, my card was declined because I put In the wrong pin and he came running over telling me how I didn't have to worry I was going to eat that night. Highly recommend them

Small family owned place less than a mile from my home. Their food quality is very good and service is with a smile. Have never ordered any pizza from anywhere else since we discovered them soon after our move to this area 21/5 years ago. You can't be less then very pleased with these folks.

These guys are like the real Italian deal ! They're sausage is really flavorful, perfect amount of toppings and cheese! I'm a big pizza fan and this is probably one the best pizzas I've had in Denton!

First time going to this place since I've lived in Denton. I highly recommend it. The pizza tasted authentic and everything was super yummy! The customer service was outstanding. I am very pleased! I will definitely be a returning customer.

Either people don't know what pizza is in North Texas or they lost their tastebuds... Something is very wrong. You take your mass pizza chains like Pizza Slut, Pizza Inn, Papa's, Sleezy's Pizza and Gattitown and you've got your typical cardboard and ketchup excuse for a pizza. They are mass produced and lack a soul. So, you would think that a small, independant pizza place like this would strive to be more. I though wrong. I was only here once. ONCE. And never will I grace their doors again. This is not pizza like the prior three reviews have stated. This is on par with the above mentioned mass chains, and that's not where a pizza place wants to be. We as a family have never left a pizza behind, kind of like the Marines. We left two uneaten slices.... it was that bad. Tasteless, flavorless and no heart. I am a pizza lover and a pizza snob from New Jersey. I know a thing or two about good pizza.............. this is a sad excuse and I am surprised the place gets business. Then again, most in North Texas, have never had good pizza. Go elsewhere, please.

Service was very nice (was served by the owner). Construction is going on around the place. The pizza was ok just not enough sauce or flavor. I may try it one more time.

Dropping this here since I'm about to order and I see there isn't a recent review! This is my GO TO pizza shop. Free delivery if you're in range, they've got very affordable pizza from slices to large pies (with lots of topping options) and delicious cheesy bread. Owner/staff are super sweet and helpful, and we are always taken care of. Open late on weekends and they never rush you out near close either. Singing high praise for one of my favorite local businesses!

I wanted to try some different Pizza than the same old chains... And the reviews for Roman's were good. The pizza was good, tasted different then the chains, but not as spectacular as others have claimed. It did seem light on toppings and thin crust was average but was generally OK... the owner is really friendly and pick up prices are pretty low. I'll get it again when I don't want the usual pizza chain pie.

Roman himself could serve me my first born on his 2 large, 2 topping pizza carry out deal for 14.99 and I'd thank his sweet Italian ass for such a good value and for complimenting the value of my first born, because $14.99 is worth way more than anything that's coming out of these gonads. I've ordered pizza from these guys 3 times now and every pie I've received from them has been handled with more precision and care than a DNA test, which is something I've needed a lot ever since I was dropped at the ripe age of 2. I typically get a large Pepperoni and Bacon pizza on Alfredo, and it's closest I've come to God since the time I passed out in a Wendy's restroom during a drug overdose. They're not stingy with the toppings either, they really do load that puppy up with plenty of cheese and everything else you could want. You know they're not penny pinchers either because they're not one of the cheap fucks who count cheese as a topping because they SHOULDN'T. Roman's pizza does it right. I haven't touched everything on the menu yet but I sure do plan to after I learn how to healthily incorporate a shit ton of pizza into my diet. Bonus points for having free delivery for certain areas nearby their business. That shit saved my life the other day after I immobilized myself after I dislocated my knee dancing to an *NSYNC song. Anyways, excellent pizza, cute and convenient location, wonderful staff, and if I haven't mentioned it enough, their pizza is so good that just talking about it reminded me of the leftover pizza I bought from them yesterday chilling in my fridge. Time to go eat it.
