Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof Grindelwald

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. I was made to feel so welcome by all of the wonderful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My room, which looked straight out to the mountains, was spacious and spotlessly clean and the bed couldn’t have been more comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing and there was a huge variety of food. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens and is a very short walk from the train station. I felt very at home there and will definitely stay there again.

Grindelwald is as perfect a swiss picture can get. You sit in a hotel with the most incredibile view of mountains and green pastures in front of you which you never get tired of watching and hiking during the day. |This was our third visit and every time we explored new areas and villages. |This time we chose this nice 5 star hotel in Swiss chalet style. |It consists of an original building and a newer expansion in a more modern chalet style separate connected building. Everything of high quality and furnished with good taste in a rather contemporary Swiss way. A small garden in front of the hotel makes a nice place for breakfast and dinner. |Buffet breakfast is very good. Dinner in the restaurant is ok. WIFI works very well. |We had a Eiger view suite with balcony and very generous in size. |The spa and indoor heated swimming pool is very nice. |The hotel is on walking distance from the train station which is very practical. Staff is kind and well trained. |My only critic would be they have no AC. Summers are hot and AC in a rated 5 star hotel is a must. |Last time we lodged at the nearby other 5 star hotel of the town : the Belvedere, and they have AC.

The Best Spa Experience in Grindelwald During my stay in Grindelwald, I tried several different spas, but this one quickly became my favorite. Despite being more affordable than many others, the quality here felt truly exceptional. -Generous opening hours (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.) give you plenty of time to relax -While there’s no jacuzzi in the pool area, the sauna facilities are outstanding -Lockers are thoughtfully stocked with a lightweight guest gown and disposable slippers — very convenient -A peaceful relaxation area with deck chairs is perfect for unwinding with a book between sauna sessions -Three distinct sauna experiences: a steam sauna and two Finnish saunas (high and low temperature). The steam sauna can get intensely hot, so the door is sometimes left slightly open for comfort -An ice station provides a refreshing cool-down after the heat -Elegant, stylish décor throughout Check-in is at the hotel reception, where you’ll receive keys for both your locker and spa access. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A place I would gladly return to — highly recommended!

Stayed here for 2 nights. We were given a room with shared common area. It was a bedroom in one of their residence apartments. Very weird set up. Also, was not aware that Grindelwald hotels do not have air conditioning due to altitude. It was 80 degrees while we were there and the windows did not have screens so unless you want to risk bugs/bats getting in, it was hot and stuff overnight. The spa was the best. Our massage therapist was fantastic. Also, the pool and sauna area was great as well. The hotel room key was attached to a large, heavy metal Keychain which was not fun to luggage around.

Simply the BEST dinners we have ever had! The chefs are so incredibly talented, the meals have been perfect! Also the waitresses are just so lovely, friendly and helpful. |The location of this hotel is perfect too, within 1 min walk to the Grindelwald Train Station. |The pool and sauna areas are lovely too! ||You will not be disappointed! Stay here!

The hotel and all the staff were superb. Everyone was friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. I felt very welcomed and looked after throughout my stay. The room was beautifully appointed with the most magnificent view. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. There is a very special charm to the Schweizerhof with a wonderful Swiss style throughout. The swimming pool and spa are great with fantastic views to the Eiger. I would totally recommend this place and I shall be returning.

Absolutely stunning hotel. The views from the hotel are phenomenal. The facilities and attention to detail within the hotel are superb. The staff are all helpful and can’t do enough for you. On a sunny day there are comfortable seating areas throughout the gardens of the hotel. The location is great. Highly recommended will return.

The food was absolutely outstanding – full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Together with the excellent service and the cozy, elegant atmosphere, it made for a truly special dinner. Highly recommended!
