My stay at the Hotel Schweizerhof Grindelwald was absolutely delightful! The room was impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and offered a cozy yet luxurious ambiance. Waking up to the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains was an experience in itself—truly a postcard-perfect setting that stays with you. The service was outstanding, with the reception team going above and beyond to make every moment special. From the warm and friendly check-in to the thoughtful recommendations for exploring the area, their hospitality was second to none. This hotel perfectly balances comfort, elegance, and a personal touch. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and am already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

Amazing five star experience here. The service was above and beyond here, especially with Jon! The double room was very spacious with an incredible view, the food was great as well. We came here with our 2 daughters and were pampered from the start. Highly recommended!

The hotel was beautiful. Rooms were clean and spacious with everything you need. The hotel staff were all lovely, very kind and helpful. The food is amazing. We went half board but a pack lunch and an afternoon tea were also provided if you wished. Lovely holiday, so much to see and do. We will be back I am sure and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and we were always treated with great courtesy. The cleanliness and the room amenities were also top-notch. Unfortunately, we cannot give a perfect score because the wellness area is a bit small. However, we still highly recommend this hotel.

We spent several hours relaxing at the bar after spending the day in the mountains. The hotel is a beautiful establishment that also made us feel welcome. The bar staff, Jon, Felipe, and Miguel, took excellent care of us and preparing our beverages. It was a perfect interlude after a day in the alpine air!

I recently stayed in a junior suite room over New Years. We were unable to use the balcony because the door was broken. The main reason I booked this room was so I could propose to my girlfriend on the balcony overlooking Eiger Mountain (it's an amazing view!). The balcony is huge, so it's a primary feature of the room. I told the front desk about the issue on the first day and they said they would get it fixed; however, they never followed up with me and it was never fixed. I told them two more times, and finally they just told me they wouldn't be able to fix the door. It was really frustrating because they weren't contacting me to resolve the issue and they seemed indifferent about it. Finally, on New Years Eve I convinced my girlfriend to climb through a window and onto the balcony for a glass of champagne. I proposed and she said yes! When I checked out of the room, I asked for a credit on the room since I definitely didn't get a what I paid for. They told me that the manager in the back told them nothing could be be done. The manager didn't even bother to walk out front to apologize or explain! They finally comped a $50 drink bill from the restaurant, but only because another employee had previously mentioned that they would. They didn't even want to offer this and seemed upset with the employee who promised it. If you stay here and have no issues, you might have a great experience. However, if there's a problem, I wouldn't expect it to be resolved or to receive much sympathy from the staff. I'm seeking a partial refund through the booking agency I used for this stay.

Good points: 1. The environment is really nice for photos and the location is real good (very near to the Grindelwald railway station, like 5mins or lesser walk) 2. Some of the restaurant staffs are nice and friendly. Bad points: Seems like there’s some staffs that are having real bad attitudes… 1. Tried to make booking for dinner at the hotel’s restaurant BUT the reception just said oh it’s fully booked WITHOUT even checking. Next minute, heard another staff saying there’s 2 NEW booking came in and guess what we SUCCESSFULLY booked our dinner online (with lots of time slots available to choose when the reception just said it’s fully booked) 2. Bathrobes were not replenished during one of our stay and we called the front desk to request. Waited for decades and nothing came. Called the front desk again, then a staff came. However, the first thing I received wasn’t my bathrobes, it was a suspicion attitude saying that we must have not checked our room thoroughly and she insisted there should be a big bag filled with bathrobes. So, I invited her in to check for us in our 28m sq. twin room and she just replied “ah it’s ok, I shall not disturb you to take your rest”. Aww so nice of her after throwing us a mystery bathrobes hunting game in the late night.

Hotel chosen by Insight Vacations as part of a Switzerland tour -Lovely quaint hotel but if you do not get a room in the main hotel you may have to stay in a chalet room which can be complicated to get to. Room was large and comfortable despite no air conditioner. Porter service was slow so rather take your own suitcase to room. Food was delicious and breakfast selection varied. Staff were polite and courteous. Hotel located two minutes walk from the town but is a few blocks from the terminal for the gondola to Jungfraujoch which would require a steep climb walk back to hotel. Plenty of extreme type sports available in Grindelwald.
