If you love great nature in the mountains with vast forests and babbling streams, then you should definitely consider the southern part of the Black Forest. If you also like beautiful valleys and a great starting point for wonderful walks and day trips, then Spielweg near Münstertal is certainly worth considering. If you want authenticity, history, culture and total pampering, then you should definitely visit Romantik Hotel Spielweg.||From the moment I was in contact with Kristin Fuchs for the booking until the moment of saying goodbye, we enjoyed the friendliness, commitment, knowledge and skills of the Fuchs family and their excellent staff.||Kristin knows how to create a welcoming atmosphere in the historical hotel consisting of several authentic and new buildings. The rooms (we had nr 27 across the street, also accessible by tunnel) are spacious, comfortable and equipped with all necessities including an excellent bed and all kinds of pillows you could wish for. Fresh fruit was waiting for us and the minibar contained water and fruit juices that were replenished daily. The bathroom with bathrobes, shower and bathtub was also spacious, modern and clean. We had a large balcony with seating, an enchanting view of the hills and the mountain stream at the back of the garden provided the ultimate mountain experience.||The gardens with swimming pool, sun beds and refreshments are lovely and very relaxing after a day full of hiking. ||Although we regularly pamper ourselves in excellent restaurants, Viktoria Fuchs (member of Jeunes Restaurateurs and Kristin’s sister) and her kitchen brigade repeatedly exceeded our expectations. Creative combinations of traditional dishes with a modern twist, surprising taste sensations inspired by Asian cuisine. Every evening the food was a treat.||Without wanting to shorten any of the employees, we want to mention sommelier Sebastian in particular. In addition to his extensive knowledge of local and international wines, his empathy was really great. He felt our love for wine perfectly and took the time to walk through the menu and wine list with us. And on his advice I drank Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) again and actually liked it very much. Could that be part of the magic power of Romantik Hotel Spielweg?
