Romantik Hotel Villa Margherita Mira

As we turned into the Hotel drive we knew we had made the correct choice. The traditional Venetian villa is beautifully kept outside with ample parking. There are plenty of places to walk, or just sit and relax within the grounds.||||But once inside, it was like entering a jewel box. The receptionist was cheerful and attentive and accompanied us to our comfortable first floor room, facing the drive, with a sweet balcony leading from the bathroom. The décor again is very Venetian, and beautifully kept. The bathroom tiles simply gleamed.||||The public rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfast room leads to the rear grounds and one could enjoy a tasty, varied and healthy breakfast.||||Can you tell that we can't wait to return? We sincerely hope to return in the future. Thanks to all concerned for such a memorable few days.

Villa Margherita, a member of the Romantik Hotel group, lies in the small town of Mira north west of Venice. It is ideally situated for exploring the area around Venice or for day drips to Venice, Murano etc.||||The staff are wonderful, efficient and unceasingly helpful. The cosy decor is comfortable Venetian with a touch of “Laura Ashley”. Housekeeping is impeccable with beds and linens superbly comfortable.||||The hotel serves breakfast and room service but not dinner. There is a comfortable barons lounge as well. This is not a particular problem as the same owners operate a very nice Relais & Chateaux nearby which has a good restaurant.||||Overall, a very pleasant stay!

We stayed at this hotel to avoid the crush of Venice during the Biennale. It's only a 30 minute bus ride from Venice but it has the quiet and country charm that we were after. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast one of the nicest we had during our tour of Italy. The room was a good size and we were lucky enough to have one of the few rooms with a balcony which came in great for having a cool drink during our chill-out times.

A great discover for me , and my family, this hotel is owned by same family that run Villa Franceschi., I have the opportunity to stay for september during the Biennale , grat details and great staff compliments to the owner for the suggestion and for continues the tradition of their parents . We have stayed here three times as a stopover to/from Venice airport (about 20 mins away). Interesting area to explore away from the masses in Venice! |It is a beautiful building with lovely rooms and a great breakfast. No dinner served but it is a short walk (20 mins) or 2 min drive to the sister hotel which has an excellent restaurant. Or there are local eateries. We had a smaller room this time but that was reflected in the good price.

Well, the hotel is decent from outside, gives an impression of classic architecture. With green lawns and rustic status you get into anticipation of something exciting. Sadly it ends there. Rooms are very small with tiny window and quite medevial in terms of facilities. The room I had got had only one electrical power outlet in a very awkward place. So, you can't charge your laptop and phone at the same time without connecting them together. If you had two phones, good luck with that. There is no ironing board in the room. I had to press a few cloths and it cost me more than the cost of buying an iron. No restaurant within 1 km either... Overall, not very impressed.

This is 17th century building with rooms in outstanding condition and cleanliness. One of the best services by reception desk we have seen in Italy. Also an amazing park like setting behind the building. This is one of those hidden gems you should experience. Forgot to mention autstanding breakfast and to top everything off they saw at check in that it was my wife’s birthday and in the evening we found bottle of champagne in the room. Villa Margherita is a wonderful location to stay and relax. It is located in a beautiful park, |features nice and historic rooms and a very friendly staff. We will come back often and are already looking forward to our next time here.
