Romazzino, A Belmond Hotel, Costa Smeralda

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Oh and the beach is stunning too. A must visit if you are planning a visit to the south. We stayed in the newly renovated rooms. The entire place exudes old school luxury. Stunning.

A most beautiful setting with wonderful beach with beach view, beach setup and beach service. |For a vey expensive ($3,400 and up per night) and alleged five star hotel , We found the f and b and its’s service to be mediocre. We were also disappointed in maid service that did a mediocre service (given the price ) and actually forgot to give us turndown services two nights (out of 4). Although the concierges are very polite and try to be helpful, their coordination for drivers was less than dependable. ||We also were disappointed with the concierge desk whom arranged for a boat cruise for us one day. The boat was less than clean, had no swim stuff (noodles, floats etc) and a captain whom did not speak English, despite assurances from the concierge that he would. Additionally, the hotel packed us a picnic lunch for the boat (5 hours) which was delivered with no ice or refrigeration (also no fridge on boat) and not nicely packaged but thrown in to boxes. We have stayed at other five star hotels in Italy and France where the bad and mediocre service described above does not occur. ||Belmond Hotels only starting managing this property in 2024. Perhaps they need more time to raise the service standards that Belmond Hotel chain is know for.

We have been staying in this hotel for 20 years and the last two years the management is awful. This year one of the rooms that was given to us was below the public toilet. Which was never addressed and they told us there is nothing we can do. General manager was not helpful either. Concierge team cannot fulfil the аneeds in timely manner as well (taxi, bringing water, etc)

Me and my family visited the restaurant „la terrasse“ in the hotel on July 19th. We were very very disappointed. Before this visit we were very satisfied in The Belmond Hotel chain so we’re expecting a lot better. We ordered the most expressive dishes as our waiter suggested us and were brought disgusting food, such bad Italian food we have never tried before. The bread which was supposed to be brought out before our dinner, they brought after our starter course. The furniture is very old and cramped, many tables next to each other even though more than half were empty. Very disappointed in our visit and would never come back there again

The hotel is run down and rips you off at every chance they get. 38 euros for a watermelon juice in the beach 90 euros for a rubber boat to take you 50 meters to your boat for a day trip charging for non motorised toys on the beach. There virtually no restaurants at dinner copy for one over priced average fine diner so you’re forced to pay 100 euros to go into town to eat. The rooms apparently renovated but basically a coat of paint. Noisy old aircon dated bathrooms cheap linens etc etc we paid 3300 euro for a suite that was about 3 star. Hotel is dead at night as they have no restaurants expect one. I complained about being ripped off 90 euros for a ride to my boat and didn’t even get a response. No staff remembered our names the taxi service was disorganised and we got ripped off one night being charged 300 euro for a round trip into town.

Truly an incredible experience- We stayed here for 5 days as part of our honeymoon and my god was this Hotel great. The grounds and Mediterranean beach chic resort are beautiful and carefully maintained. The food was fantastic (expensive but it’s a 5 star hotel it’s expected) and the staff did an amazing job providing a stellar experience. A few special shoutouts: Gaja in guest relations Luca at reception (big shoutout to you) Massimiliano, Danilo and Andrej at the main bar/lounge Antonio and Rue at the beach All of these folks and many others made our stay extremely memorable. We cannot wait to be back!

Monica is absolutely incredible! Always attentive, responsive, and impressively efficient — she finds last-minute solutions as if by magic. It’s truly a pleasure to work with someone so professional and kind. A heartfelt thank you!

An unbelievable location, nice staff but in DIRE need of renovation. I came for dinner, the toilets are from the 1980’s cracked subway tile- deplorable. The dinner itself great terrace gorgeous view but 50 euro for basic tomato pasta? Basic not exceptional. I’ve had exceptional. Mosquitos were another problem. Dessert was the biggest let down. They need a pastry chef the souflee was not traditional French soufflés. Key lime pie was like a prepackaged little tart sent it back. Service was good and very kind. I don’t Think I’ll be back til a multimillion dollar renovation is done. Shame because it is the nicest beach and position on the entire costa smeralda. Belmond needs to live up to its standards.

Now a Belmond hotel. The service has greatly improved. Looking forward to it getting better and better.

The "Go To" hotel when visiting the area. Like most things you get what you pay for and here the service is spot on. Our luggage was delayed/lost and the concierge took complete ownership with contacting the airline and going through the typical red tape to get the bags delivered and provided timely updates to us. They aim to please here.

Great hotel with charming decor. Warning there are steps to everything. We go up & down 5 stairs cases to get to the awesome breakfast, which is atop the hotel with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean. Staff is excellent, beds are comfortable & everything is clean. The decor may be dated to some but I found it to be authentic. Lunch beachside is 100 Euros per person. Walk to the beautiful beach & pool requires navigating steep paths. My advice is to stay here only if you are in good shape. Really.
