We are a family of 4 (13, 10 yo kids) who traveled with another family of 4 and grandparents and stayed at this hotel. We found the location to be wonderful for walking to the local sights including the coliseum, Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. The hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance (or less) to many delicious local restaurants, gelato, and clothing stores. ||The room is small (as expected in Rome) and can feel flighty cramped but we had no issues. The room has a king bed and a sofa that was converted to 2 separate beds (which my kids appreciated very much). The room is equipped with the basics (shower cap, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash) and housekeeping was consistent and daily so no issues there.||The daily breakfast was included and quite delicious. We expected a basic coffee/croissant but were surprised by the variety that was offered considering the breakfast was free. It included a self service coffee bar, waffles, pancakes, sliced bread, croissants, assorted tarts/pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, garbanzos, assorted hams/cheeses, hard boiled eggs, a cereal bar with various yogurt/cereals/toppings, salad, and usually one fruit option. This was my kid’s favorite part of the day. The staff, including James, Elena, and some others (i believe a Peruvian gentleman) were so welcoming and friendly. We appreciated that most everyone spoke some English considering our Italian was a bit rusty :)||The front desk area while small was staffed with lovely and helpful employees. I couldn’t catch their names but they were all wonderful. They arranged taxis to pick us up at 5:45 am on departure day, and even had complimentary breakfast boxes for our party of 10. Amazing! ||The only hiccup was when checking out, we were told that the occupancy tax for the rooms had to be paid in cash because the system was down. Imagine our surprise considering that previous day we spent all of our euros so we wouldn’t go home with any. Luckily, we were able to use the money we had set aside for the 2 taxis (taxis accept credit card) and gather up the 300+ euros…||The final hiccup/beware (not the hotel’s fault) is that one of the taxi drivers attempted to scam us. The hotel told us 90 euros for a cab and 50 for the car but on arrival to the airport, we were met with 90 euros for both. When we fought this, the driver agreed to 70 euros which seemed unfair, considering that it’s a flat fee from city central to the airport. ||Overall, great stay and would definitely visit again!
