Romena Grand Hotel

I stayed 7 nights at the Romena Grand Hotel. The staff were nice and helpful, though they didn’t speak much English. There are nice restaurants and cafés around, a 7/11 nearby, and the Sunday night market is close too. It’s in a quiet area. The room was clean, with daily room service — they cleaned the room and bathroom well and left a pleasant smell. They also provided bottled water every day, which was a nice touch. That being said, the room’s air conditioning was extremely cold and blew directly on me, even when I raised the temperature. The air was very dry, and I ended up coughing throughout the week I stayed there. The cough stopped as soon as I left, so it seems the AC system made the air too dry or poorly ventilated.

I had a great experience in this hotel! Super friendly staff and so kind! The location is perfect a 5 min walk from old town and has a market 2 minutes away. The rooms are clean and spacious with air con! Overall It’s very good value for money and great location!

Great price and location. Laundry across the road. Saturday market around the corner. Coffee on corner if you're lazy. Great thai restaurant next to laundry. Nightly market across main street. Exceptional gym 5 minutes walk or so. I wish I could find this great value elsewhere!

The hotel is in the smack of the city and close to all amenities around. Cleaned daily and towels are changed daily too. No water provided. The only downside is hard mattress and hard pillows. 700 baht a night as a great bargain. No restaurant on site as it’s closed

We had a lovely stay at Romena grand hotel. The staff are lovely and super helpful. We loved the location, it is a few steps away from the night market and old town!

It's a budget hotel, that is very convenient for those who don't have a car or moto and they want to enjoy the old town... Location is excellent ,the room is big with a spacious bathroom,and is relatively quiet...

A little beautiful hotel near to old city. No restaurant for breakfast as it’s closed for a while. Except for the bed and pillows every else is perfect.

very affordable hotel in Chiang Mai and just a walk from Chiang Mai Gate Market…highly recommended…the room is also wide and cleaned daily…plus they dont require a deposit…there are nearby convenience stores, hospital, massage, 24 hr laundry shop…best to book during weekends as it is near Wua Lai Walking Street which opens on Saturdays and there are more Street Food Vendors in front of the Gate Market at night…since its near the gate of the old city, Wat Jetlin and Watchediluang are just a walk away
