I got a soggy pizza steak. I called because they delivered the pizza first which was doughy not fully cooked, it was not good. They brought back the same steak that was late. Soggy didn’t bother to Call me back. 41.00 of crap food and poor service.

We ordered Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parmigiana, Shrimp Diavolo, calamari, and tiramisu. The pasta in all three dishes was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The shrimp in the Diavolo was flavorful, and the calamari was crispy and well-seasoned. The bread was fresh, which was a nice touch. However, the chicken in both the Parmigiana and Marsala was overcooked, which made it a bit tough. That was the only downside to an otherwise great meal. The tiramisu was a sweet and satisfying way to end the evening. The service was great as always, and the warm, inviting ambiance made for a pleasant dining experience.

I needed dinner after a very long day and stopped here on the way back to my hotel. The staff were friendly and they made my pizza fresh when I ordered it. The crust was very good and there was a ton if cheese but the sauce was a bit thin. If they added more to the sauce for a bolder, robust flavor, they'd have a stellar pie! The atmosphere of the restaurant while I waited was nice and I used the restroom which was clean and smelled good. In addition to the usual boothes, they have outside tables for eating there which I'm sure is very nice when the weather cooperates. I would eat here again!

Delicious pizza. Hot, fresh and with generous toppings. Recommend the white chicken pizza with Alfredo sauce. It comes with broccoli and we added sun dried tomatoes and caramelized onions !! FYI : costs more to use a credit card

I got a gyro. It was good, the fries were a bit dry. They were potentially older fries because I went closer to closing. I would want to try more foods here during peak hours. The ambiance of the restaurant was mixed (meaning it could be causal or a cute first date place.)

I haven't been here in awhile (I don't know why) and that's on me. Last night, we ordered two pies and both drew raves. Some loved the toppings which were thick and plentiful but I'm a crust guy who recoils in horror at anything approaching burnt. It was Neapolitan perfection. Romeo's, I promise not to be a stranger. Five easy stars.

The server was very nice and respectful and their chicken soup and baked ziti is to die for! The pricing was modest and the ambiance was very quiet. The place felt weirdly empty for its quality. 5/5, would come again! Edit: For pasta and soup/salad it gets around the $20 range per person but for some of the special meals it can run you closer to $35 per person.

You HAVE to get the Sweet and Spicy here This is a fantastic pizza place in Plainsboro, with a friendly staff that has gone above and beyond multiple times.

Was excited to get some pizza and they were closed. They did have their open sign on. No other sign or warning about them being closed. Kind of disappointed. Hoping they're open next time I stop by.

This place is amazing. Max the owner is very welcoming by greeting customers. The staff is also very helpful and quick to meet customers needs. The food has always been spot on. Amazing pizza. I don't care what anyone says about this place but this place is on my comfort food list. My favorite is the vodka pasta slice and the vodka pasta! Their Margarita slice is also very tasty! I keep coming back from my regular and I have yet to try so much more. If you order pastas, they are pretty big portions. The pizza slices are pretty huge so even one slice is fulfilling! They have a self sit down service! You can choose where you want to sit and I think they will bring the food for you. I'm not exactly sure because I never dined inside and mostly did take-out! Must try this place for sure!!!

I used to love this place. Boy has it changed. I tried it about a year ago and it was nasty and I reviewed it as such. Gave it another shot recently and it was just as foul. Thick, goopy crust, with ketchup and something they call "cheese", that had the strangest texture. I have no idea what they are giving the other reviewers that praise them, but you are better off going to Shop Rite for a box of Ellio's.

The Pizza could've been bigger. Good tasting pizza though. Not bad for local pizza. Don't order salad as a side.

This was the first time we visited Romeos and it was a pleasant experience. We were greeted by Edgar with a friendly smile and seated promptly. Our waiter Pedro was very attentive and Food was delicious and served in a timely manner. We highly recommend this lovely restaurant and definitely plan on returning. Only 15 minute drive from Monroe!

Pretty good. Low key. Food was ok. Reasonably priced. I had the chicken parm. The pasta tasted like it came from a box. Sauce was good. Parm was a little tough and chewy. Nice portion size. If you want an easy place for some basic Italian, this is good for you. If you want really really good Italian food with an upscale environment, th3 probably not this establishment.

Romeo's is a Plainsboro institution. Family owned, they've been around far longer than I've been in the area. They have very good pizzas with a wide variety of toppings and flavors. They also have a surprisingly solid menu for their table service side of the restaurant, with their gnocchi being a particular favorite of mine. While it may not jump out as a first choice, I'd highly recommend them for catering events, both on site and delivery. We've used them several times and have always found the food to be very good and the prices beyond reasonable. Finally, Romeo's is very active in the local community and is constantly finding ways to give back to local schools and organizations. I encourage you to repay their kindness with your patronage and give them a shot!

10 out of 10 for pizza. I go there for a pizza lunch whenever I'm in the area. When you walk in, you are welcomed and then your eyes go to the glass case containing so many varieties of pizza. If you can't find one you love, then you're not a pizza aficionado. This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Never had a bad meal. Try it, you won't be disappointed..

So far I'm only familiar with their food from the catering they do to our company, just from that I've discovered dishes that I'd like to continue exploring... especially the pasta Al forno. Outstanding.

I picked up a personal sausage and pepperoni pizza..... OH MY LAWD!!!!!! Probably the best pizza I've had in years!! The staff is very friendly and welcoming and I would definitely be stopping by again when I'm in the area.

This is your average pizza joint. They have a few specialty pizzas by the slice price was $11 and change for 2 slices and a soda. The restaurant layout is weird and no one said can I help you as I looked at the speciality pies so I kinda just told all of them my order. Wouldn't recommend or not recommend....

Really nice classic NJ pizza served here. I haven't tried the other items on the menu but I definitely recommend the pizza.

Living in the area, I've seen lots of foot traffic go through Romeo's often wondering whether it's as good as its reviews. Because of the 4 star reviews, I've had Romeo's bookmarked for years, but the photos weren't quite selling it to me because there's so many other great Italian/pizza places I've fallen in love with around here. One rainy day, we decided to give it a shot because of its covered outdoor dining area. We got a lot of food - bread, salad, pizza and pasta and everything was not bad, not good, but very average. The pizza looks great in pictures, but quite underwhelming. Personally, it's a one and done for us!

The quality of their cheese pizza has gone down. Just got this and wished I hadn't. The size is smaller, the quality as you can see is bad . I guess time to try another establishment because this has become a hit or miss recently. I can't comment on any other things there so they could be great but this wasn't.

Extremely rude driver. Unacceptable behavior. We ordered large pie half a dozen garlic knots and sodas. Originally we left the driver a $10 dollar tip. They had forgotten the drinks, we called them back and told them and they sent another driver to make it right. They redelivered the whole order, which was nice of them. The driver that delivered this order was making comments about "no tip for the driver". And shoving the receipt in our face where it shows there was no tip for the driver.... I was taken back when I heard of this. Extremely immature of him to act like a kid. Victor the manager called me back and made everything right and extremely nice person for holding his employees accountable

I haven't been here since 2015 when I worked in the area (see my review of Aljon's too). So I decided to revisit and add it as another stop on my pizza tour of the area . This was one of the memorable pizza spots in the Plainsboro/Princeton area and I was having high hopes. Before walking in I noticed the exterior lighting and seating area that looked well kept since 9 years ago. I walk in (heavy door, pull hard) and noticed a clean Italian-style scooter - nice. I'm a scooter, e-bike, moped, 2-wheel novice enthusiast. Anyway, as I make my way through the second set of doors, the showcase on the left is filled with an assortment of slices (I saw a pepperoni and works slice but no plain - I'll shut up now ‍) . The dining area (self-serve but they have wait service through another set of doors) was dimly lit - quite intimate for a Wednesday lunch but I'm not complaining. I went with a white slice with broccoli and sun-dried tomatoes and decided to get a second and save it for later. There must've been some sort of misunderstanding but I walked out with 3 and a bottle of water and was charged for 2 - the damage for 2 and the water: $9 and change cash (credit was over $10). All-in-all I would definitely return. The crust was just the way I liked it - nice crunch and no flop. Other ingredients tasted fresh and definitely tasted like it was made earlier today. The other over the top slices looked good so I would give those a shot after work hours.

Stopped at Romeo's for my last night in Jersey on business travel. Tried the pizzeria part, but there's also a more formal restaurant you can enter as well. Classic and superb pizza. This Florida girl was not disappointed! Will come back if I'm ever back in the area.

The portions are huge! The pasta dishes come with a side or salad. I got the minestrone soup and it was delicious. The fried calamari was so good, it was nicely fried and didn't feel heavy to eat. The marinara sauce was good and tangy, complement the calamari and pasta well. I really liked it!

Romeo's is a family owned pizzeria that has been around for many years. You can tell the people that work here are very dedicated and do care about customer experience. Their service is fast and always satisfying. Waiters would go out of their way to serve you. Food is well prepared and delicious. Parking could be hectic sometimes but always manageable. I really enjoyed the White Canadian pizza. The combination of pineapple and bacon is unique and very delicious. I would definitely come back here again. I have heard so many good things about this place. so glad that I finally get to try it. There is casual pizza dining area in the front, and a more formal sit-down restaurant in the back. The service was great! I really wanted some risotto. Although they didn't have it on the menu, the waiter checked with the chef and he especially made it for me. The seafood risotto was covered in seafood!!! The portion of the dishes was quite large, but everything was delicious! Not over oily, nor too salty. The food tasted authentic!

My Mother and I go here often to have lunch together on a Sunday afternoon. Their pizza is very good, but we've also had their stuffed shells which comes with a side salad and/or cup of soup which is very good. They accept over the phone order for pick-up, not sure if they deliver. The staff is always nice and the restaurant is clean. Would recommend

Got a chicken parm sub and some slices of the Margarita both were really good. Margarita has big chunks of tomato in the sauce and great crust. Great service on the phone ordering and when I picked up! First time here but we'll try them again

From order to delivery it was no more than 25 for a pizza. I wasn't notified that the food was on its way or that it was delivered. The bad part was the quality of it. The onions and bell peppers were raw and barely warm.

Bad service and bad food. We ordered Brooklyn pie thin crust for a reason to have it fresh from the oven. We waited for almost an hour and found put they forgot about our order. The lady that took my order even asked me if she can help me. I said yes where is my broklyn pie They placed our thin crust where all the pizza display. I asked how long and they re-heated and became hard and crusty and just loaded with a lot of watery tomatoes from the can. We can't even taste the basil. Never eating here again. If I were you, stay away unless you want bad pizza and bad service.

I enjoy coming here during lunch with my coworkers. The place has very good pizza and I recommend it for everyone to come here and get some amazing Italian food and support local business. I usually get the chicken marsala and the white pizza. The white pizza was so good, probably one of my favorite white pizza places. The marsala is also my go-to dish and their creamy mushroom soup if they have it for the day. The service was good and the wait wasn't long. I would like to try some of the other dishes next time.

Romeos continues its excellence in dishing out great food. I'm updating the review after seeing how seriously they take public safety/health measures when getting takeout this past week. Unlike some other pizzerias in the area, every employee at Romeos I saw was wearing a mask. They have a sign on the door asking customers not to enter the business without a mask. They've installed additional glass partitions inside the restaurant pick up area for added safety measures. They have socially distanced outdoor seating and have also taken the initiative to add additional tables along the walkway. The pizza & pasta was top notch as always, but felt the need to update my review to reflect how this business is hitting it out of the park when it comes to health/safety of their patrons. I'm happy to provide business to places who take health initiatives seriously. Keep up the good work Romeos.

Been coming here for YEARS and good as always!! The pasta pizza is to die for and the garlic knots are a MUST - be sure to get at least 2 because you'll just be craving more!! Great place to order for large parties as well - never had an issue with a timely order and delicious large portions for every size! The go-to pizza place in Plainsboro hands down! The mushroom pizza and margherita have never failed us. Don't forget that they also have a restaurant attached and amazing traditional italian dishes to go. Including Davids Cookies freshly baked right in their ovens!

Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? I could seriously write a sonnet on my love for Romeos. There is no better Italian/pizza joint in the greater Princeton area and no one will change my mind. Although we mostly order takeout, we've also had amazing experiences dining in, both as regular dinner customers and for a private company holiday party. The rigatoni alla vodka is just BEYOND. We recently ordered catering for a small family get together and everyone was raving about the food... they all live in south Jersey where the Italian/pizza scene doesn't compare to Central/North Jersey and I was proud to serve them the best. We of course had rigatoni alla vodka, along with meatballs, chicken park, broccoli rabe, and chicken fingers/fries for the kids. The portions are generous! Service is always friendly and accommodating... truly a staple pizzeria and restaurant in the area!

New to the area and tried the Brooklyn Pizza. Amazing!!!! So fresh tasting. Juicy plum tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, Parmesan, an fresh basil sprinkled all around. We got to see all the different pizzas and what others were eating. Can't wait to come back to try other things. True authentic Italian yumminess.

Visited for lunch. Maybe I should have picked a more "Italian" entree in fairness, but the Caesar salad with grilled chicken was a bit disappointing. Dressing tasted like commercial bottled product. Accompanying bread was hard, not up to par for an Italian restaurant, sorry to say. Service prompt, and nice enough. I'll give them another try for dinner.

Vodka sauce is unmatched. Best pizza around. Max and Victor are wonderful owners who will stop and talk to you, welcome you, learn about your family, and offer incredible food.

A group of us Westminster Choir College alumni were looking for a restaurant near Princeton where we could meet before Reunion. One of our friends suggested Romeo's. What a great place! We were able to get a private room, and all the waitstaff were very attentive. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. As we entered, I saw the delicious-looking pizza and was so tempted! It was very hard to choose, but I ordered Cappellini alla Napoli--angel hair pasta sauteed with crabmeat in a cream sauce. It was delicious and the crabmeat was nice and fresh. For dessert I had profiteroles--cream puffs with a vanilla mousse on the bottom and chocolate mousse on top. Heavenly, and not too rich. The place is BYOB, so we had brought our own wine to go with dinner. As is our WestminsterChoir College tradition, we ended our meal with the singing of the Lutkin "The Lord Bless You and Keep You", to the delight of the other patrons. We're hoping to come back to Romeo's again next year. Bravo!

The pizza is good, but everything else I've had here has been pretty underwhelming. I ordered a sub and it came barely put together. Tasted okay, but definitely nowhere near their pizza quality. ONLY ORDER PIZZA HERE.

Ok so I came back one day and got the pizza well done, and it was actually amazing. So good i went back 2 days in a row after because i couldn't get enough!! Great atmosphere, people and GREAT pizza.

A hidden gem! Romeo's is by far the best pizza in the Plainsboro/Cranbury area, and with the friendliest service! The entire staff is extremely accommodating towards families with food allergies and welcomes the neurodiverse community. Everyone is treated with kindness and respect, and the food is delicious!

Was not happy with our experience here. We have been before and my husband used to frequent when he worked in the area. We had a large order and no one enjoyed their order. Bread was hard, chicken was over cooked and food was bland and lackluster. To boot, my husband was treated poorly by staff when he arrived to pick up the order, which was not ready for over a half an hour after estimated pick up despite the establishment not being overly busy.

Romeos in Plainsboro is a great place to eat. We mostly get delivery, but the establishment is great and friendly too. Portions are generous, prices are fair, mistakes are rare. The rolls are hit or miss; sometimes they're delicious, moist and fresh while others are dry and stale. Favorites: cheesy garlic bread chicken parm, chicken orzo soup, chicken and bacon salad, chicken wings... Geez, there's a lot more too. Note to Romeos - please rotate your bread more!

I have eaten here often, and have loved their food for years. Got the Ravioli Aurora, so amazing! Cleaning the sauce from the plate with the bread......yum!

Ordered from here again and I have to lower the rating by a star. While everything on the pizza is pretty tasty, I've noticed that the toppings and cheese do not stick to the crust very well. Basically, when I grab a piece, everything falls off and I have to reassemble the piece before I can eat. This gets pretty old and frustrating! Overall, decent pizza, but I'm intrigued to try other places in the area.

The cheese pizza was really delicious. The taste of the tomato sauce they use is incredibly good!!
