Beware of fraud - we paid in April 2024 via booking a flat, but the hotel doesn’t exist any longer. It has become a refugee camp, probably since mid-2023. Booking took the money without any service given to us. Booking refused any reimbursement, booking does’t check the existence of hotels or accommodations. Our lessons learned : we don’t book any longer with booking.

Positives-Beautiful location. The reception staff were warm and welcoming. The Dinner was great though the serving size was small and expensive (like everything in Norway). Great breakfast. Staff were all attentive. The communal lounge area by the fire cozy. Negatives-the constant door slamming from guests drives you mad and some made the whole room vibrate and shake significantly. Common areas from, dark and oppressive. Our “suite” was disappointing. It overlooked a carpark. The furnishings are cheap and minimal and to be honest, In need of some serious TLC. No tea or coffee in the room, no iron, no soap in the bathroom. We didn’t expect luxury but just a bit of thought could make this hotel better with minimal expense

I’ve been in this hotel in July and must say it was a great experience! They have old style and modern rooms to offer and the swimming pool and sauna was very clean. Bring your swimsuits cause they dont sell it there. It gives the real norwegian vibes with its view and architecture. The staff provided us everything they can and were super friendly.

We booked this hotel in June. Paid and got the booking confirmation. Today, 1 week before our stay and while we are already in Norway the booking was cancelled due to “overbooking”. Shame! How is it even possible in 2023 that a hotel is that bad organised and unprofessional. Definitely don’t book this hotel if you have a fixed travel route planned or you might as well run into a bad surprise during holiday.

We were booked here through a tour company although it was just two of us. The hotel sent a taxi to the bus station to pick us up. What a lovely property with lots of great hiking nearby including in Rondane National park. We stayed the main hotel and our room was great, very spacious and comfortable (210). The food was unbelievable. The breakfast was great, a very large buffet with an omelet station and nothing you could possibly want. The dinners were also excellent, good fresh food. Wifi was excellent and we enjoyed the on site sauna hot tub and pool. What really made the place so special was its staff. to a person, they were pleasant and helpful. Special shoutout to Christopher who helped us with hiking trails which were great and also beer selections. Totally recommend

This is a great little hotel situated right at the entrance to Rondane National Park. It is a magical place, winter, summer, spring or fall. Highly recommended for travellers who are genuinely interested in experiencing Norwegian nature at its peak, both literally and figuratively speaking, whether by hiking or skiing. We only got to stay for a couple of days this time, but we will be back for sure. The hotel is great for a wedding or other celebrations, they have a good sized swimmingpool and sauna, as well as a spa. The food and drink was excellent, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The lobby area is large and comfortable. They are renovating the rooms one by one, and ours was a little dated, but by all means quite adequate and clean. The regular prices seem fair, by Norwegian standards.

It’s my first time in Norway and I love the scenery. This hotel, however, could be better. Rooms are small and old. There is no room service. Breakfast is really good, but the staff is not very service oriented and some of them even unfriendly (rolling their eyes e.g.). I don’t think that I will come back here.

You are in the mountain, at the far end of the road.|Yes the staff is pretty young but always smailing and if you have to wait a little...you are in holidays no ?|We have the great cabin near the Fjellstue. A lot of space : big bathroom, large kicheen and dining room with a table to stufy the maps for the hikes, big living room...2 tiny bedrooms but it was the conception of the primitive cabin...So you accomode with that.|The only lack : no notic ein english to explain the fonction of the washmachine...|We request for a bedservice every day and cleaning on day 3/5/7 and it was done...So only to read the convention and you hvr what you reserve...|The breakfast is perfect : 5-6 sorts of fresh breads and 2 of bread to toast, smoked salmon and makerel, hering, 4 types of cereals, bolied egg, fried eggs and you can order omellete at your convenience, 4 different cheeses, 2 hams and salami, fruits and vegetables, 4 marmelades,....and so one...Difficult to explain why some complain...|The diner has 3 options of starters(perhaps a standard salad would be an usefull addition), 5 entrees and a vegetable pie and 5 desserts(perhaps a plain cup of berries could be fine). Nice choice of wine.|I don't know the norm of price as it is my firdt time in Norway but nothing outrageous.|So a big big five for a quiet resort where you have to find what you have to expect in the middle of the mountain.|If not stay in town.
