Review of Rondel Village
I would strongly advise travelers to avoid Rondel Village. Our experience was marked by dishonesty, poor service, and unacceptable accommodation standards—especially disappointing given that we were celebrating my mother’s 90th birthday.
We encountered a deceptive booking process, where the manager provided different quotes to different family members for the same stay. When we arrived at 3:00 p.m. for check-in, our group—including my 90-year-old mother—was left waiting until 7:30 p.m. to receive our rooms. This delay only ended after prolonged arguments with a booking agent who repeatedly changed explanations and terms.
The so-called “beach villa” was neither peaceful nor comfortable. The bed was extremely hard, and the street noise was constant and intrusive—hardly what one expects from a beachfront property.
Basic amenities were also lacking. There was no hot water in the showers or the jacuzzi tub, which is unacceptable for a resort at this price point.
Guests should also be aware of the restaurant’s service charge practices. The service charge added to bills does not go directly to the servers, and staff do not receive the full amount if tips are added by card. If you choose to dine there and receive good service, tip your server in cash.
Overall, this was a deeply disappointing and stressful experience, especially given the importance of the occasion we were there to celebrate. Rondel Village appears more focused on money extraction than genuine hospitality, and there was a complete lack of customer service or accountability.
I would not return, nor would I recommend this property to others—particularly families, seniors, or anyone seeking a relaxing, honest resort experience.
