Ronnie's Steak N Grill

Just an average place to fill a hollow spot in your gut. I was really disappointed in the tea and the onion rings. The tea...you could read a book on the other side of the glass. It was that weak. The onion rings...I mean, seriously? They were cut in small pieces and completely overcooked. Oh, well. Now, the good news. The cheeseburger was wonderful. It was cooked perfectly! One more thing, the waitress told us the onion rings were included with the price of the cheeseburger. We thought the cheeseburger was a bit overpriced. That is why I asked. They did not. So just order a cheeseburger and a glass of water. I won't be back .

Quintessential family owned restaurant. The Platonic ideal of a country style place to eat. I've enjoyed everything I've tried. The second best steak I've ever eaten was here. Their fried shrimp and catfish are among the best ever. The family dines here at least once a month and we've never had bad service or food. Among the best in the city, if not the whole South.

They have a lunch buffet that was amazing. I had a 6 oz steak cooked to perfection with a baked potato. Great ice tea. The staff were extremely friendly and professional.

My wife and I love finding new places as we travel our great state. Ronnie's is a great example of Mississippi hospitality, great food and laid back atmosphere. We were passing through and needed to time an early supper, so were glad they were open at 4 PM on a Monday. Service - great. Waitress attitude and demeanor - great. Food - great. Value - awesome. Thanks for a great meal.

Super friendly staff and manager/ owner. Garden salad is great! The hamburger steak is also great, and the nuggets my kids got were actual chicken! Would be 5 stars but the grilled chicken they bring out for the Salad is super salty.

Me and my wife just went here for our 29th anniversary. We ordered 2 new york strips, one medium rare and one well done ordered a loaded bake potato and a sweet potato the waitress excuses herself and comes back and says sorry potatoes won't be done for at least a hour and they had no sweet potatoes period. So I settled for slaw and wife got a salad for an extra charge and fries. The salad was not worth the extra charge. The fries were hard and as for my slaw 3 bites and it was gone and they were no big bites either. The Steaks were small fatty and stringy. On top of that I asked for some steak sauce and was told they were out of steak sauce. How are you going to call yourself a steak house and not have steak sauce REALLY!!!!!! Then to top it off the bill was $44.00 but when I paid I was charged $46.00. Extra fee was charged for using a credit card. Come on now, the steaks were worth maybe $5 tops, if that, for $20 each, $3 extra for salad that came out of a bag, no potatoes, hard fries, 3 spoon fulls of slaw and then a fee to use a card shows me one thing they are nothing but money hungry legal criminals.

Completely asinine… My husband and I eat here about once a week on average. We have been doing work nearby… we’ve tried several things on the menu and the only thing we’ve really enjoyed is the ribeye steak and the salad bar. I’m a small business owner so I never write a review frivolously or off of one experience. We have had poor service for the majority of our meals here. The Wait staff likes to chitchat with each other and stay on their phones. Ignoring the fact that you are way overdue for a table visit and a refill on your beverage. Today I decided to leave this review because I found their service to be asinine. It really got under my skin today. I ordered a ribeye steak just like usual and asked for it to be cooked medium when I got the steak it was actually cooked well done and was tough. I’ve had stomach surgery so eating meat that is overcooked does not sit well with me because the texture doesn’t digest easily. I’m also a person that doesn’t believe in being wasteful so I ate what I could of the steak and my husband ended up eating what I couldn’t. When the waitress came to the table explained her that the steak had been overcooked. She said OK. There was no I’m sorry to hear that. Let me talk to someone in the back and see if I can get it fixed. Nothing was offered. Well, I didn’t like the fact that she didn’t even apologize for the incorrectly cooked steak. However, I didn’t say anything because I know how it has been at this restaurant every time we eat here. When I went to check out the person that took my payment said “how was everything today?” I explained to her that I ordered a medium steak and it came out well done, and that it was pretty overcooked… after explaining she just told me the bill total and reached for my payment! Let me just tell you it was very hard for me to bite my tongue! I wanted to say, if you don’t care about the quality of the meal and my experience then why do you even ask? I don’t think we’ll be going back anymore, which is unfortunate. What this restaurant really needs is training for their service staff and accountability in regards to the way they treat people and the food quality. By the way, our meal was almost $60 for two steaks two drinks and one trip to the salad bar. They opened at 4 o’clock in the evening and I came in at about 4:15 and guess what? Several items on the salad bar were already out and the place wasn’t that busy. Which told me that they don’t have anyone being competent with stocking the salad bar and keeping it fresh like they should. People are coming in and paying hard earned money for your food. When I go to a salad bar and a bunch of items are missing it doesn’t make me feel very good about what I’m paying you. I have been looking forward to a ribeye steak all week. Everybody knows how expensive it is eat out and especially how expensive it is to order steak and to say this was disappointing is an understatement. It’s one thing for someone to make a mistake with your meal- but it’s an entire other issue for two waitstaff to act so inconsiderately.

The service was terrible, the food was cooked too hard & the manager sucks. Our fish was fried to crust, the steak was tough , the shrimp was salty, it was just a disaster. It was 7 adults & 2 children & not one adult ate the food. Even after talking to the manager, he made excuses. He told me my fish was cooked fine. He said the steak has to be cut a certain way when eating it otherwise, it will be tough. I guess none of us have eaten steak nor fish before. After we received our food, no one came back to offer refills on drinks or nothing. Plus the waitress lied about the cost of substituting salads. Y'all she just lied & when we got to the counter to pay.... she uuuuuuhhhhh Really...

A friend and I ate at Ronnie's a few weeks; we came to see to a community musical. We were greeted upon entering and seated immediately. A waitress quickly took our order. We both decided on getting their chicken nuggets. Ronnie's has the best chicken nuggets in Philadelphia Mississippi. I sit down to enjoy them because I had remember them from years gone by. I must say the quality has not changed whatsoever. They were still as good as I remembered. The owner was walking around and talking to people, and he had on his apron so I know he has been cooking up a storm. They have a good menu. Great staff to serve you so if you want to enjoy yourself just make the trip it's worth it.

The breakfast buffet they have some nights is good! The pancakes and biscuits are cooked perfect along with the ham, bacon, sausage, and eggs! Love the breakfast for sure! Lunch meal is chicken nuggets for sure. Nothing super special but good food.

Best grilled chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life! Also have had steak & sides, all very good. Never had a bad experience from here ever.

I enjoy my meals here since moving to Philadelphia. The buffet has been good. The sign out front is true because the hamburger steak is excellent. Great service and friendly atmosphere.

Had lunch there on Saturday. I had the grilled fish and baked potato. It was all not bad. Nothing special. The hushpuppies were quite plan. If you are looking for the buffet it is only on weekdays.

Had lunch here today, the buffet weekday special. Was pleased with the coleslaw, crab cakes, cornbread muffin, veggies, banana pudding, and sweet tea. Servers were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Will definitely try to get back here, when traveling.

I order a steak well done n full loaded bake potatoes n salad. My steak was not well done. It Still had blood running out n it was tough to cut.

A great restaurant and have a pretty good Lunch Buffet on weekends also serve steaks and seafood and just started serving frog legs and lately has been doing breakfast buffet on tues evenings till 8p. I always have a great experience I know the owner great people and great and friendly staff and I have never had a bad experience.I have actually been there every sat. night since sept 2017.

This was seriously one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Our hostess was rude and showed no kindness while seating us. The waitress flat out told us their fried mushrooms came from a frozen bag of food. The food was lukewarm and tasteless, unless you count the jalapeño poppers that were so stove hot they burned my lips to the point of ulcers. Dark, dingy, and disappointing. That's the experience I had.

The atmosphere is decent. The food is Ok but not what should be expected from a steakhouse. The intention of this establishment is fine dining for the family. The actual experience is an hour wait for a tough slab of beef that will cost the price of filet mignon from a 5 star gourmet restaurant.

Great steaks that are reasonable priced. Never been for the buffet. Always go on the weekend for a nice sit down steak.

Best steaks in town. Family operated. Always friendly. Buffett is good old southern cooking. Not expensive. Great for quick lunch-break

Not a good experience at all. Started out okay but we ordered the 20oz wholly cow and 2 other steaks. Great flavor but only a third of the wholly cow was edible. About 1/2 on the other 2. When I told the waitress she said there was nothing they could do about it. They could call it what it is - 8 oz of edible meat. The cashier asked how things were and I told her it didn't matter because I was told nothing could be done. As we were leaving the cashier and waitresses called me an ugly name. Keep in mind I paid the $75.00 tab so I'm not sure what their issue was.

Mom and pop place. Nice ppl and good service. Daily lunch buffet serving up good Southern comfort food. Also has an ice cream counter. Great place for large groups. No alcohol and is a nonsmoking restaurant.
